AIR SYSTEMS A/C, HEATING AND REFRIGERATION

They came out as promised and the technician immediately began telling me that my coil was very dirty and that I was only getting about 30 percent efficiency and there was mold everywhere. And that I was low on freon but he couldn't just add more he would have to clean it all out and then fill it up (I'm not sure that this is right). Originally he told me that the coil could be cleaned but before he left he said he wouldn't be able to clean it that it had to be replaced. I asked him why not because he had just told me it could be cleaned. He didn't give an answer. He also said there was freon leaking into the coils. He said he also performed the check up. The next day I received an email detailing that they didn't make my system anymore and that the whole inside unit would have to be replaced or get a whole new system altogether. The part that upset me and I brought to the attention of Carlos is that if my system had problems and needed to be replaced, why did they charge me the $125. for the check up. Carlos said that he had to do that to know what the problem was to be able to repair the unit. I don't believe that because they charged me another $35. for a leak check and visually he should have been able to see that my system had several issues. I think they should have first looked into whether they (Trane) made my system before they charged me for the annual check up if the tech know it would have to be replaced. I don't believe I should have been charged for a check up on a system that had to be replaced. I called someone else on Angie'l list

This was my first service from Air Systems. The service professional showed up exactly at the promised time. He was careful not to track in dirt. He fully explained what he was going to do and carefully detailed what the problems he discovered with my system. He only replaced what was required. He was very courteous and professional. All in all this was an A+ experience. I will continue to use this service agency in the future and will recommend to all I know!

Technician arrived. He asked some questions about the unit and what the problem was, when it started. He diagnosed the problem (two lose wires) and corrected the problem.

We are very pleased with Air Systems AC--and with Angie's List for helping us find them. When "Company X" inspected our ailing upstairs AC system, they said it need to be replaced, at a cost of $7000.00+. I called Air Systems for a second opinion; they were there the same afternoon and fixed the system for about $500.00. It's still working fine! About a week later, we started having trouble with our downstairs system. We called Air Systems again, considered the options they showed us, and decided to replace the unit. Once again, these guys came through, with a name-brand system that was about $1700.00 cheaper than "Company X's" estimate. Needless to say, Air Systems--which we found through Angie's list--has saved us a ton of money on these two jobs. Quality of work, responsiveness, and cost have all been excellent. Most of all, we REALLY appreciate their integrity and customer service in talking us through the options and not just recommending a whole new unit when it didn't really need to be replaced. We will definitely be calling Air Systems again for our AC work.

d aI had a big problem with my A/C unit. I knew that it would be a big, costly job since the unit was old and not the right capacity for the size of my home. After contacting several providers, I decided to check Angie's List and came across Air Systems. I was able to speak to Carlos(owner), personally and he offered the lowest bid with almost immediate response. He and his crew were efficient, professional and timely. The work took a while to complete but they were always prompt and worked through the day to be able to finish. Air Systems was also the only company that offered a unit that the city would give me a rebate on. Even though it was costly, I managed to save almost $1000.00 on my electric bill. I'm still to pay a bill to date. I would recommend them to family, friends, acquaintances and even strangers if possible. I am a very satisfied customer:)

Our 11-year old air conditioner died on a Wednesday in the midst of triple digit temperatures in San Antonio. I talked to three contractors on Thursday to take estimates and made the decision to hire Air Systems on Friday. The Air Systems crew showed up as promised on Friday afternoon and had our new system fully installed by Saturday afternoon. They completed the job as promised, were very professional, and left the work area in great condition both days they were at our house. I'm now a fan of Air Systems and would highly recommend them.

Ruben arrived promptly. He checked each of the inside air handlers to assess their function. The non-functioning unit was noted to have a loose wire, which was repaired. One additional air handler had some rust over the cooling coils and collection pans. The latter problem will need to be correctedwith the winter-time check. Each of the external compressors/condensers was also checked and cleaned of any debris and spider webs. The non-functioing unit also needed to have a capacitor replaced. Each of the drain lines for the air handlers was cleared with compressed air. All the units were checked for freon levels, and they needed no re-charging. At the end of the inspection, all the units were functioning well.I particularly enjoyed Ruben and his approach to the problems. Each unit was checked, and he explained the processes he went through for my education. He has a great personality, and he did a fantastic job. My only complaint was the lack of informing me of a $12.50 fuel charge when I called for the appointment; thus, I downgraded the price grade to a "B'. I believe this should be mentioned with the scheduling of an appointment. Otherwise, an excellent experience.

Great work very professional and explained everything he was doing. We will be using this company again to have our yearly service.

They came out same day called, showed me the problem, left the bad part so I could have someone else look at it to verify if needed, did the work, and today I have a nice cool house! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and would reuse them.

We choose them initially because they had the best quote AND they were very professional. We were impressed that they would do a great job. We would go with them again because they more than proved that our initial hunch was right! Very professional, punctual, hard-working, and also really personable. Sometimes having people working on the house for an entire day can be quite uncomfortable but these guys were hard workers, polite, and gracious. The owner supplied us with warranty info and all paperwork himself and followed up as he said he would. They arranged for an inspector, who came out and verified that all was up to code and gave us the certificate. I only have great things to say about this company, it's business practices, and it's owner.

I called to have the run-off hose on my a/c cleared because it was backing up and causing my unit to drip. The service technician was personable and worked quickly explaining the problem and how he was going to repair it. He did an excellent job. My only problem was with pricing. I was not given any idea over the phone as to how much it would cost. I had a coupon for a first-time customer, but I was not allowed to use it as my problem was not considered a repair. The cost was more than I anticipated, but the work was well done and the technician was excellent. For these reasons, I would feel confident using this company again

Rick came in to fix our AC. He was very polite and explained what went wrong. I am very happy with his service. Thank you. By the way he has left his jacket. Please come to pick it up :)

This is just an honest review on their "24 hour emergency service". I had called at 11:30 at night and left two separate messages with the answering service person. They said the company calls in 10 minutes usually. I didn't get a call at all and even at 7 and 8am next morning, there was still no call. I had to call them at 9am and asked regarding why there was no call. The lady who answers calls said she just came in and had not pulled up her system yet. She said there is usually someone who answers to the emergency calls and not sure what happened. So as a consumer, I said why advertise emergency service if it's not provided. And she asked me rudely, 'Sir would you like some service today?' She didn't even apologize on behalf of the company, not that I hold her accountable. I didn't get angry or anything, but I decided not to get service from them after her demeanor with me. I just wanted to write honestly what I experienced and am writing this review only on their emergency service they offer and failed to deliver. I picked this company to call because they had good reviews from Angie's List, but my experience turned out to be not so great.

It was a pro job. The technician investigated and quickly found where the water blockage was and then proceeded to blow out the line with nitrogen. Finally, he did an awesome job incleaning up after himself.

A service man came out the same day I called. The AC fan was working but it wasn't cooling. He found a bad capacitor at the condenser. He had the necessary replacement part in his truck. He also cleaned the outside unit, tightened some wires and checked the freon. The price was reasonable and service man was polite and explained everything he did.

Received bids from 2 local companies. From initial conversation with Air System office had feeling of confidence with the company. Mr. Jimenez (owner) did initial site visit and estimate. Air System estimate 15% lower than other companies PLUS they would submit the application for the electric company rebate program. Work was scheduled for the following week. David arrived on time and was a delight to speak with. My wife was tele-working that week from our home office, David ensured she had AC going to room almost the entire 10 hour project. Overall we ARE EXTERMELY satisfied with the quality and price of the work performed. Air Systems is now our preferred service provider for HVAC maintenance and repair.

Same as above. Arrived promptly(within 45minutes after I called) Tecnician was very polite, efficient, anf professional.

They were wonderful. I called at 8:30 in the morning. They sent a tech out who's name was Ruben. Ruben was smart, to the point, told us exactly what we were going into and gave us the benefit of the doubt. He arrived module and a new loader on monday morning. First he switched out the old module. He tried to see if the old motor was good but it wasn't so he replaced out the old blower motor and put a new module on it. He cleaned the blower fan wheel which is what the cool air goes through. He put everything back together and pulled cool air from the vent. It registered at 58 degrees. He wrote everything down. Their communication was excellent. They get an A on communication, an A on professionalism, an A all the way around. I can't boast enough about these folks.

We have used Air Systems for a number of years now and are always impressed by their courtesy and professionalism. They never try to trick you into spending extra money. They show up when they say they will, and get the job done. My previous repair guys never seemed to have the right part and the charged extra for every (and they were numerous) trip they made to repair the same issue. I recommend this company to everyone when they are having AC problems!

Our A/C stopped cooling last night. Looked at the outside unit and the fan wasn't turning. Chose AIR SYSTEMS due to positive reviews and free diagnostic coupon for new customers. Called at 8:00am and had cold air by 11:30am. Technician (Ruben) was friendly and professional. He identified the problem immediately, gave me the cost to fix, which I approved. Less than an hour later, problem solved.

Excellent experience overall! They accepted the Angie's List coupon without trouble and removed the $68 fee.

My 24 year old central A/C was on it's last legs, but this company kept it running until I could arrange financing to have it replaced. I obtained quotes from several companies and Air Systems price was very reasonable and presented in great detail which I particularily appreciated. The work was originally scheduled for 8/26, but the unit "died" the weekend before and it was horribly hot and humid at that time and I was desperate. The owner, Carlos, rearranged his schedule and did the install on 8/20! Everything was left very clean, use of the new unit was explained (still haven't mastered the digital controls yet!). The unit started making a whining noise and Air Systems had a Tech out to check it immediately who spent a long time trying to diagnose the problem. He then called Carlos who helped him resolve the problem immediately. So far, everything is working perfectly and I wll definitely recommend Air Systems to anyone needing A/C work done.

I received quotes from 3 different companies, all selected from Angie's List. I selected Air Systems based on their quote and their strong recommendations on Angie's List. Carlos and his team did an excellent job. We agreed on the installation date and the installation guys arrived right on time. Mats were laid down to protect our flooring. The proper permits were obtained and displayed on the front door while the work was performed. The installation of both the inside and outside units went as planned. A new thermostat was also installed. The system was charged and tested, the floor mats removed, and it was done. Everything went as planned and I highly recommend Air Systems.

In called at 10 am and Rueben was at my home by 1pm that same day. Friendly, courteous, fast, helpful. He even gave a recap and asked us if we had any more questions! I will use every time! Don't waste time looking for other providers Air Systems is the way to go!

Carlos and team were great from the start. I called him in for a second opinion on an evaporator coil leak. I normally get two bids as I dont have the time to be calling the entire phone book. His guy showed up on time and was very courteous. My father met him at the house and he answered all of his questions (my Dad is a talker). He confirmed the leak and said a quote would follow via email. Sure enough by day's end I had a quote. I was extremely impressed to receive an email quote. It was professionally put together and detailed. The first company that came out hand wrote a quote with 1 sentence that I could barely read and quoted several hundred dollars more. I'm always happy to receive a lower bid, but I was happy to get a detailed quote. After I requested, Carlos added another manufacturer option to the quote and emailed it back to me. He had enough information on the equipment that I was able to do research online and make an informed decision. I emailed back and forth with Carlos over a few days and he was extremely responsive and courteous. I knew from his quote and responsiveness that he had my business. We scheduled the date to have the evap coil replaced. The day came and it took the greater part of the day to do the work, I know it took quite some time to remove my old coil. The tech was courteous and didn't "creep" my wife out as she has found in the past with other servicemen. There was a bit of a mix up as he offered to install a capacitor at an additional cost, but it was included in the quote. He called the office and they cleared it up, no problem there. They were able to salvage the refrigerant from my old unit to save $. The AC is working great, Im very happy. I would like to mention that the first company was another top rated HVAC company on the list. I never heard from that company after their quote, I guess that they didn't want my business. Air Systems was responsive, reasonable, and Carlos even did a follow up call the day after the job to see what I thought! Don't hesitate giving them a call.
