Description of Work: We were in the process of trying to sell our house and the buyers wanted an a/c service check performed. This company responded quickly and checked out our a/c to ensure it was in good working order. A couple of small things needed upgrades and they were able to take of it on the spot. The buyers were satisfied with the with the work done and we closed the deal.

Description of Work: Air duct was blocked. Tech unblocked and died down properly but found air return was undersized, pending. The tech quoted me for installation of a damper system stating that would be the only to get proper air flow to my sons room...+ $2K. I contacted Gillette Air Conditioning for an additional "look-see", wow all that needed to be done was to install a direct connect duct to my sons room - the price was under $650. I went with Gillette Air!!

Description of Work: I contacted them for a price quote on a complete AC system. They quoted an upsized compressor unit and did not include new duct work. Since I had two other companies providing quotes, I selected one of them. Make sure any quote they give includes EVERY detail of the work you want performed. It took a couple of phone calls before I got the quote for what I wanted to know.

Description of Work: I contacted Air Systems for help with a drippy secondary A/C drain. They worked with me to set up an appointment that was convenient for me. The day of the service, the office called me approximately 30 minutes before Rick was to arrive. He arrived on time, introduced himself, donned a pair of booties and went right to work. He even put down a drop cloth to catch all of the debris out of my attic. Since I'd had my home recently re-modeled, things weren't exactly where they were supposed to be, but Rick persevered and isolated the line to the secondary drain. The drain pan was dry, so he thought perhaps there was a blockage in the primary drain. It took us a while to figure out where the re-modelers had put the primary line; it was behind my kitchen cabinets. Rick shot some pressurized air through to make sure there was no blockage, and it looked like things were fine. So, here's a guy who actually answered "I don't know" to questions I asked him. I found that very refreshing. Even though it was obvious that Rick knew his stuff, there was absolutely no sense of "I-know-everything-little-lady" about him whatsoever. He was trying to unravel the mystery of someone else's work. He did all that was humanly possible to figure out why that secondary drain had been dripping. When he called his superior at the end of the job, he was told not to charge me for something they had not fixed and to let them know that if the pipe started dripping again. They'd come back as soon as possible to re-check it.

Description of Work: During our annual winter check up for our system, our air conditioning company (Murphy's Heating and Air) that had installed and services our heating and a/c unit for 20 years, informed us that our a/c unit was losing freon and we were probably looking at replacing the a/c, the heater and the coil.. The tech informed us that the leak was probably in the coil, but that the entire system needed to be replace. I told him the heater was not that old, but he insisted that it too would need to be replaced. I decided to get a second opinion and called Air Systems. The owner came out that day looked at the system and said if the coil was the problem then rather than replace the whole system, he would prefer to just replace the coil, but he wanted to do a test of the a/c system to make sure the freon leak was just in the coil and not in the a/c unit. His tech found that leak was in the coil and the owner then quoted us a price for the coil. My previous a/c company never mentioned that just the coil could be replaced. Air Systems said he would not recommend replacing the a/c unit or the heater (which he said was not very old). My previous company insisted that everything needed to be replace. Air Systems came out on time, were very professional and finished the job when they said they would. I have found myself a new company thanks to Angie's List and the honesty and integrity of Air Systems. I highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Replaced both of my air conditioning/heating systems. Also, replaced/repaired duct work, as needed. In detail: Performed a load calculation on home to make sure that the current tonnage is correct. Performed the proper EPA recovery procedure in order to remove the old refrigerant charge. Replaced the existing outdoor condenser unit. Replaced the indoor furnace and coil. Replaced the low and high voltage power cords. Replaced the outdoor breakers for proper size and to meet city code. Replaced the outdoor refrigerant suction line insulation to the proper size to meet city code. Replaced the indoor refrigerate line insulation to meet city code. Replaced the wall thermostats for a programmable touch tone style. Inspected all of the existing duct work and seal any minor air leaks. Added a safety float switch on the primary drain line. Replaced or added an over flow emergency pan under the indoor unit. Added an enclosed Perfect Fit Filter to both attic systems. Added return air grill area because of the increase in tonnage. Recharged new system with the new 410A refrigerant. Checkeded over all operation. Removed the old equipment from the property for proper disposal.

Description of Work: They performed an Emergency Diagnostic -- found the breaker to the condenser was tripped; isolated the compressor & made the breaker stay on, Reconnected the compressor & showed us the breaker was tripping. They left the power off at the disconnect, and got us pricing & options ASAP, plus recommended replacing condenser,

Description of Work: On a Saturday my air conditioner was leaking and the carpet was soaked. Another company came out and refused to do the work and told me just to do it myself. My husband then called air systems. It was a great experience. They came out within 2 hours and fixed the problem without trying to sell us a new air conditioner. The technician was very knowledgable and pleasant. He cleaned out the air conditioner drain and found the opening outside which was hiddened under some dirt. We felt like the price was fair. On the next day which was Sunday, someone from the company called to ask if we were satisfied with the service.

Description of Work: Called Air Systems after reading their reviews on Angie's List. Our A/C unit was not cooling down to the temp. we would set it. It would not go any lower than 78-79 degrees regardless of what we set the thermostat to.
