Large jobs increase the complexity and communication burden. They involve increased stress and large amounts of money. They also add a project management element that require skills above and beyond what you might need for a small single unit replacement. Carlos and his team at Air Systems handled the extra complexities very well. So well in fact that, many times over the three month project, by the time issues rose to the level of being communicated to me, he had already solved the problem! It was a pleasure to work with him and I won't hesitate to call him again for the next round of replacements. If they can do a good job for me they can certainly do a good job for you!

Air Systems came out to my on a very cold day to replace my system. They arrived on time at 8am and Rick and Rubin started by laying down drop cloths to keep things clean, Carlos arrived with the equipment to be installed and the guys got to work right away...very professional. It took the full day to have the equipment installed, but even with kids running around because it was Christmas break the guys got the job done and the system was up and running. The first day I had no problem heat was running great, and then it changed and we couldn't feel any strong flow of heat being pushed downstairs. I called Air Systems left a message of the problem and got a call back right away from Carlos. That next day bright early the Air Systems team of Carlos and Rick came and did some testing and adjustments and the system has been running good. Air Systems also does a great job by registering our system with Trane for us and doing the required paperwork for our CPS upgrade rebate.

Technician spent a long time carefully elminating all other problems before recommending the replacement of a circuit board. He was on time and friendly. They had to order a part, and it came in earlier than expected. The part was a little expensive (more than 2x what it sells for on-line).

Our A/C and furnace system was 16+ years old, so when the furnace didn't come on the first cold night of the winter, we knew we had a problem. We got several quotes from Angie's List contractors and Air Systems seemed like the best value. We did get lower bids, but for generic systems, NOT Trane, which is known for their quality & warranty. Carlos was very helpful in providing detailed information in his quote, as we were hoping our home warranty would reimburse us partially for the repair. It took us a few days to decide on which system we wanted and they did not call during that time to pressure us. They responded quickly to all my questions, and I had a lot since I researched online and you know how that goes! Once we decided on which system we wanted, they were out to do the installation within two days. Rick arrived about a half hour early on installation day, but waited out in the van until I came out to say good morning. He scoped out the area in the backyard where the A/C would go and laid down drop cloths all thru the house in preparation for the rest of the crew to arrive. He was super polite and explained in detail everything that was going to happen. Installation took two days and my home was left tidy at the end of each day. I was very impressed that the guys tiptoed around one morning because my toddler was sleeping late and they didn't want to wake her! They were a very professional and I felt at ease having them in my home. I was even comfortable running out to do a few errands and leaving them in the house alone. One of our issues was that some areas of our house were much cooler than others. Air Systems had a neat flow-meter type gadget to measure airflow from each of my vents. They then balanced the vents to ensure that all areas were evenly heated or cooled. They spent a long time working on it (maybe half of one day) and had to install a baffle to help regulate airflow to one of the upstairs bedrooms. They did not charge me extra for any of that time, which I really appreciated. Carlos also coordinated a convenient time for the city permit/code inspector to come sign off on the work. Everything passed with flying colors and the inspector mentioned that they do consistently good work. They handled all the paperwork for us to get an $800 credit from CPS (which has already shown up on our account) and got us another $150 rebate from Trane for upgrading our old system. Best of all, they had a deal with Wells Fargo for 15 months no-interest financing, so we didn't have to come up with a huge chunk of cash up front. Most importantly, it's been almost two months since the new system went in and we have been toasty warm without any issues with the furnace. I can't comment on the A/C yet, as we haven't had any warm days, but I didn't want to delay this review until summer time. Overall, this was a great experience. I would definitely recommend Air Systems to anyone looking for a whole system upgrade.

In the summer of 2013 I got 5 or 6 quotes to replace my heat pump/AC. Air Systems was the best value amongst the quotes, although there was not that large a difference between Air Systems and the next closest bid. I did not go ahead with the project in the summer but waited until just before Xmas (my wife and I decided that this would be our big Xmas present). I got yet another new quote from a competitor and also emailed Carlos at Air Systems to see if their old quote was still valid; it was. Air systems did not try to sell their most expensive unit. They came out and did a heat load survey and then provided updated quotes (really just letting me know the original quotes would still be honored). They were still less expensive than the new competitor's quote. I decided to go with the higher efficiency Trane XL20i and was not at all pressured to do so (no "up-selling" involved). Indeed, Carlos thought I wanted the lower cost unit. Installation took place over two days and the installers, along with Carlos, were very professional. When they had to remove the attic ladder to fit the new air handler through the opening I asked if they would mind putting in a new ladder if I ran out to get one. They said "no problem" and were happy to do so. In the end I could not find the ladder I wanted so the old ladder went back in. When they left at the end of the first day's work they said they'd bring donuts and I said I'd make the coffee. They did and I did. When done, the job site was cleaned and everything looked great. Efficient, professional, good humored, and nice people with whom to work. Highly recommended.

I called Air Systems early in the morning when I noticed my heater was not turning on (52 degrees in the house makes it difficult to get out of bed for work). I was expecting to get next day service but a technician called me an hour later and said he was in the area and was it OK to come by. I was at work but my son was home (over 18) so I said yes. Within minutes, he had the problem identified and fixed. With the Angie's List coupon of a free service call ($65) I saved almost half the cost and was very pleased with their courtesy and professionalism. I'll definitely use Air Systems again the next time I have a problem.

Rick - the technician, arrived on time and did a thorough check of the heating/ac unit inside. He found that the capacitor was low and replaced it with a new one. The original capacitor was 10 years old. He was very courteous and made sure that the new capacitor worked properly before he left. He also explained that our thermostats had a 5 minute delay before they would turn on. Rick advised that each thermostat was different in the delay time. We appreciated the fact that Rick was able to diagnosis the problem quickly and we did not have an expensive repair or replacement to deal with at this time. Technician showed up on time, spent quite a bit of time figuring out the problem and then informed me that he would need to come back the next day with the part. Very nice guy, let me say that, they were very nice. He then gives me a bill for $65 for diagnostic fee and $10 fuel charge...???? Fuel charge? I never heard anything about a fuel charge in order for them to come to my residence. I live in the city limits, now on the outskirts of town. The technician showed up later in the day, spent quite a bit of time installing the part, which was the wrong part, he then left for 2 hours to get the right part. The owner called me and told me that the correct part might cost more, but if it did they would not charge me more than I was originally quoted. When he came back he spent hours working on my unit and again, had the wrong part. The owner of the company told me that he would come out with him the next time with the correct part. The final time they showed up, they had the right part and it took about an hour to get it installed and working. The owner told me that he would take off 10%, and give me a free AC check in the spring. I was quoted 438.07, if you subtract the diagnostic fee that should have been taken off, I should have been charged $373.07, actually 363.07 if you take off the fuel charge too. That doesn't even include the 10% that should have been removed. The part I was charged for showed it was over 300 on the invoice, when i did a quick parts search locally the part actually cost 160. Like I said they were nice, I just felt it was shady and slow. I sent a note to the company and they sent me a check for $65 to cover the diagnostic fee, nowhere near what I feel I should have been refunded, I lost a day of work plus a few hours for the first visit, my wife lost a day of work and we were overcharged, in the future I will use a different company, I am not satisfied with the manner in which my problem was dealt with.

We are very satisfied the prompt and professional service that Ruben provided. We know who to call next time we have issues :)

The first night we hit sub-freezing temperatures in San Antonio, our heater goes out. First thing in the morning, Friday 12/06/13, I start making calls. My first call, I connect with no one. My second call, which happens to be Air Systems, they answer the phone. I tell them my situation with my heater; although the pilot light is on, the furnace will not turn on. They tell me they can be at my house between 11a.m and 1p.m. Thank God because my wife is getting excited on me. I get a call around noon that someone is on their way and they do arrive shortly, well before the 1pm limit. The technician by the name of Ruben introduces himself. Real pleasant fellow. I tell him my problem and he immediately starts his diagnosis. In no time, he tells me that I have a bad capacitor and that if there is no problem with the blower, that should fix the problem. I give my approval to replace the bad capacitor. Seconds after replacing the capacitor, the blower kicks on! I feel so relived. We cycle the thermostat to make sure the furnace correctly comes on and off. It does. The whole process from diagnosis to repair went so fast which says a lot for the technical expertise of Air Systems personnel. I was very impressed with Ruben's professionalism and technical expertise. They honored their coupon for first time clients. I definitely recommend Air Systems to anyone that needs heating repairs.

Our heating went out suddenly one evening, we called them first thing on Monday morning and they came out by 5pm the same day. We needed a part replacing and were told they would get the part the following morning and be back to install later in the day. They called on Tuesday to let us know that they were on their way. Ruben was all done in 15 minutes and we had heat!! No fuss, no up-sell, no bs :)

18 Year old Furnace/Heater Stop working. Would click on and stop and make a faint buzzing noise. Call Air Systems out to identify the problem. They tested every on the system and went over it with me. They demonstrated to me that it was the computer board, it had an error code and was buzzing. This was a Saturday, on Monday they verify with me the cost of the board and schedule the appoint because part had to be ordered for the older heater. Came back on Tuesday and address the problem.

AC serviceman called before he came and was prompt. He did a very thorough job of inspecting system and running tests. He was polite and pleasant.

It went well. He was very through checking for gas leaks at the furnaces and at the room vents.

That was a very good service. He spent about 2 hours and did a very thorough job doing a complete furnace tune-up. One technician came out to do this work.

I called Air Systems as my furnace would not come on. They came out the very next morning on time, as scheduled. Rick was very polite, informative and professional. He not only troubleshoots but also explains the process throughout. This is the 3rd time I have used this company and I must say they are great to work with.

I have used this company for the past few years for repairs and servicing for my two central air systems at my home and the system on my rental home. They have never disappointed me. This time they sent a new technician, Rick, who was taking over for the previous tech who was now working other areas for the company. He was professional, efficient, and provided friendly service who answered all my questions. I have found this company to be very reliable and one I wouldn't hesitate to call out to work in my home to resolve any air conditioning/heat issues. The cost of $276 for this service call included an advance payment for the Spring checkup in 2014.
