The repairmen arrived when promised, analyzed the system, ordered the parts, and made the repairs the next day. There was a day's work in the hot sun and the hot attic, but the two servicemen were courteous and efficient. The cost came in below estimate since less freon was need than expected.

Carlos of Air Systems did a thorough inspection of the current Heat Pump/Air Handler system in my house and provided several possible replacement alternatives along with detailed estimates of each. He even brought a Trane representative to help with the analysis of why our current system wasn't providing what we needed. The installation went well with very few bumps in the road. He was always available to resolve any problems his crew ran across. Michael and Mark did a great job and were always on time, polite and careful around the house. Air Systems did a fantastic job and I definitely will be using them again if necessary.

I called several HVAC companies in San Antonio about their leak detection process for my malfunctioning AC system. Air Systems was one of the companies I called. I was impressed enough with them over the phone to call them back for a bid to replace the entire system after I made the decision to replace, rather than repair. I got bids from two other companies, one of which was our current HVAC maintenance company (and had been for almost 10 years). Carlos Jimenez, president and co owner of Air Systems, was punctual to our first meeting at my home, where he surveyed the old system, took measurements, etc. Professional in appearance and attitude, Carlos treated my home and me with respect, wearing shoe coverings whenever he was inside my home. He took my email address to send the bid documents to me, which arrived within a few days. I got two other bids from HVAC contractors, both of which were over (to well above) the Air Systems bid. I even gave my current contractor a second chance to "sharpen his pencil," but Air Systems' bid and my entire experience with Carlos and Air Systems to that point took my business away from the contractor we'd had for years. I just couldn't afford NOT to do business with Air Systems. Final measurements were taken at my home by another Air Systems worker to verify total AC load on my home and assure proper cooling capability of the proposed unit for my specific needs. The tonnage of the proposed Trane unit was verified as more than capable and installation was scheduled within a week. I was sent copies of the engineering work documenting the heating and cooling loads on my home. The bid product that Carlos attached as a PDF to an email impressed me immensely. It was THE most professional bid I could possibly imagine. I was offered all the information I needed to make the best decision possible, including numerous payment options, CPS rebate figures, federal tax credit information, SEER information on all systems, etc. Installation began on a Thursday and we had cooling that same night, although the installation continued as expected on Friday. Kudos to Rick, Mark and Mike on the install crew. Shoe coverings were always worn inside my home and all were polite and professional. Carlos himself installed the high tech thermostats which are more like a tablet or smartphone. Having your entire HVAC system replaced is not a fun thing to do, but Air Systems made the experience as painless as it could possibly be. They are an outstanding company and Carlos is a pleasure to work with. Some expected "tweaks" of the more high tech components were subsequently made, all in the same punctual, professional and friendly manner. Lead technician Rick even brought my wife and I apple fritters on the second day of installation! One example of how different (in a good way) Air Systems is. Due to size restrictions, they had to remove the molding around the attic pull down stair opening so the furnace would fit into place. When replacing the molding, not only did they do it straight and "square," they also recaulked the molding joints AND repainted the molding and stair cover with custom matched paint they bought, then left me the remainder (most) of the quart can! Add that to the attic decking and equipment mounting improvements they made in the attic (and remounted and tightened a loose second floor ceiling lamp!), this is one company that goes above and way beyond to delight its customers. Also, without additional charge they rerouted the attic coolant pressure line out of head banging obstruction and added another air intake to the attic unit by converting an unused master closet air outlet to a larger air intake. The bid product that Carlos attached as a PDF to an email impressed me immensely. It was THE most professional bid I could possibly imagine. I was offered all the information I needed to make the best decision possible, including numerous payment options, CPS rebate figures, federal tax credit information, SEER information on all systems, etc. There was no facet of this entire experience with Air Systems and their replacement of my HVAC system that was not absolutely top notch and a pleasure to deal with. I certainly will look to them for my HVAC maintenance needs and wholeheartedly endorse the work of Carlos Jimenez and Air Systems.

When our air conditioning system went out on Memorial Day weekend, we immediately turned to Angie’s List to identify qualified, high quality contractors to address the issue. Because of the heat and humidity that weekend, residential systems were dropping like flies all over the San Antonio area. However, Air Systems got a technician out to our home later that day. He conducted an assessment and made recommendations for a couple of immediate measures that would at least let us limp through the holiday weekend. The price quoted was fair and the stop-gap measures were reasonable. We agreed and the work was performed quickly and professionally. The technician wore booties when in the house and was invariably polite and professional. We also talked with Carlos Jimenez at Air Systems base of operations and he emailed us four options to consider. By comparing all four options, we were able to select a system that would fit our budget and our air conditioning needs. Installation scheduling was a problem because of two factors. First, there was a large number of customers whose present systems had failed and all of us wanted immediate response. Second, we had practically a week of thunderstorms in the San Antonio, causing further delays. During this problematic period, Carlos kept in touch with us, giving us daily updates on when Air Systems would arrive. On the day of installation, two technicians arrived before 8 AM and began the removal and installation process. They placed drop cloths in the house along the path from the door to the attic access. At all times, they were cheerful and polite. Professionally, they knew what they were doing and they took on the task in an orderly and systematic manner. They minimized the amount of time we had no AC power and did not leave until the inside and outside of the house were clean and back in order. They also explained the new touchscreen thermostat and ensured the system was cooling the house before departing. Because the work was completed after normal hours, we arranged for Carlos to come to the house the next day to check the work performed and confirm that the system was cooling as it should. In addition to a detailed invoice and warranties for the work performed, Carlos also provided full documentation on the system and the work performed for our records. During this entire process, any questions we had were patiently and professionally answered by all members of the Air Systems staff. I would undoubtedly select Air Systems again when we have a need.

They did wonderfully. They were on time and got everything done in one day. There were on issues.

Our upstairs A/C went out the Friday night before Memorial Day Weekend. I called Air Systems early on Saturday morning and they had someone out just after noon the same day. The repairman was very prompt and courteous. He was able to diagnose and quickly fix our problem, and had the a/c unit back to normal within 15 minutes. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to all.

I originally hired Air Systems to do their "Spring check-up" on my AC Systems for $78 and ended up entirely replacing two AC systems for about $12k. The technician Rick was courteous, professional and thorough. The systems were not easy to get to as the condensers were on the roof, one blower was in the attic and one was in a closet in a separate building. It was a challenge just to find all the units and their controls but Rick stuck with it and got it all figured out. He communicated with me very well and was patient and gracious with my many questions. I had a good understanding of what the problems were and what they could do to replace or repair the systems. At this point I worked with the company's owner, Carlos, who is similarly professional and courteous. I got four other bids to replace the two systems. Air Systems was not the lowest, but one of the lower. Since they had been very easy and trustworthy to work with, I decided to go ahead to fully replace both systems with Air Systems. Carlos had me on the schedule quickly. He personally came by the office several times during the process of the tune-up to the replacement. He oversaw the crane company as they took the condensers from the roof, and oversaw much of the removal and replacement. It was a BIG, hot, heavy job but both Carlos and Rick were both positive, efficient, and very professional. Rick's crew ran drop cloths all the way from the front door to the attic, moved furniture to protect it, and even put it all back and vaccumed afterwards. They were usually there before I arrived in the morning and stayed late both days to finish the job. From start to finish, I had only the best experience with Air Systems and Carlos Jimenez and Rick. I will not look anywhere else for an AC/Heating company. As long as Carlos and Rick are around, these are my guys. No hesitation. I will absolutely recommend them to all my friends and colleagues, in fact, I already have.

Air Systems deserves their A+ rating. The estimate went well and Carlos was sure to evaluate the entire system to ensure he was fixing the actual problem. He was more than willing and able to discuss the causes and potential solutions. Prices seemed reasonable based on my research, but I didn't look too closely since my insurance company didn't dispute his numbers. The crew that did the work showed up promptly in the morning as promised and got right to work. They were very careful in putting down floor cover to prevent damage. They also took great care as they maneuvered parts and tools through my house and up the tiny attic access. The finished work looked neat, clean, and is performing well. I could tell they took pride in their work and weren't just trying to finish the job and move on to the next one. Carlos came out the next day we could schedule to inspect the work himself and check on the performance. I will call them again when my other unit goes out, even if it isn't another claim.
