 + -1 moreWe are likely going to have to hire an attorney to prove in the courts that this is a false lien...very timely and irritating to us, since we did not choose this man to do our work. He does all types of handy-work, so make sure anyone you contract with is not subcontracting with this man.
Description of Work: Russell Ahlstrom was a SUBCONTRACTOR for a company we hired to build a deck. He is a conman. He acted very friendly towards my trusting husband and myself. He did a very poor job building the deck, and began threatening us with a lien against our home midway through the project. We paid the company we contracted with completely, once the project was completed by another crew. However, we began getting harassing letters from Ahlstrom, continuing to threaten a lien if we did not pay him $400, which then magically turned into $4100. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this man. If you check the Bexar County clerk records, he has placed pages of liens/threat against homeowners and companies, as well as family members of his own. He is very shady!

 + -1 moreAhlstrom Construction gave me a great price on the whole project and stuck to their bid. The clean-up was great. You couldn't even tell they had been there when they were finished. The addition was professionally done. I felt we got a large room for the price that we paid.
Description of Work: They built a laundry room addition for us.
