Apart from a few mis-communications I think it went well. however I would say that if I had to do any other work in the future I will not hesitate to contact Affordable.

The service was great. Anthony had an estimate and a crew at work within 3 days of me calling him for the first time. I was able to contact him easiliy throughout the project with questions and concerns. We added on additional work as the project progressed and they were accommodating and finished everything before we moved into the house. Quality is great and we could not be happier with the finished product. In fact, we're using them again for another project on the house.

I like the way the new paint looks. They painted around the light fixture without getting any paint on it. Thay also painted behind the toilet tank as much as possible-you can't see where the paint stops from the front of the toilet.

He did the dry wall...it works fine for a good long time then a whole section just started to drop-off. It's only been within the 90 days, you expect them to come out and take a look at what's happening...I weren't expecting someone to get that straight. We would not use that company again. They're taken advantage of us. I believe they had good intentions but in the end it was about to drop and he never did come out and fix it. I think the main problem was the weather. He never did say what he thought what he would do and I had another handy man looked at it. So I called the guy and said I'll be out there but he never did. I became very upset because they were not cheap, it was not a cheap job and I did get kind of nasty on his message machine.

'It went very well. The workers covered furniture and marble entry hall. They were highly skilled, polite, and punctual. We are very pleased. The interior of the closet is carpeted, the walls and ceiling painted, a light fixture installed. Access to the closet is from the living room using a door painted in matching interior trim, The closet looks great, it turned out larger than we had anticipated, giving us much needed additional storage capacity.

First, I will provide the positive aspect of this review. The initial estimate was for a 10X10 (1/2 the length of the carport) structure. It was later determined to extend the project to 10X18 so a second estimate was requested 2 months after the first. This proved to be a good test as to how cooperative the company would be. The first estimate was well within the average of all the contractors contacted. When the secondary estimate with start and end dates was requested, some contractors were eliminated because they decided that we did not need the start and end dates or they took their time providing the information (weeks without response) or they made delivery promises they did not keep.. That was not the case with this contractor. Anthony provided all the requested information within 24 hours of a phone call. They were easy to work with and pleasantly responsive to minor modifications as the project progressed. Once they received the contract, Anthony maintained communications advising me when the materials would arrive and when the workers would arrive. Both were exactly on time. During the job, they had no problems with my coming out periodically to review the work they had done. I found it to be very important to be able to spot check as often as possible to correct problems before the work progress too far alone to correct. This is not a reflection on the contractor, just common sense. As for this contractor, if I found any errors, they were quick to correct them without argument, even if it meant tearing down part of the work they had already completed. Unfortunately, I was not able to stay on the site and watch every step they did, as I was working from home and had to spend most of my time in the office. But on the surface everything looked fine. Final inspection was done Friday morning with the Anthony. On the surface, the work appeared to be completed satisfactorily, cleanup was completed and they removed all trash relating to the project from the premises. Now I will provide the negative aspect of the review. I had originally written this review just after the job was done but before I was able to complete the interior of the shed. Since then I have added insulation and pegboard as well as new thresholds and shelving. In the process, I discovered some disappointing problems with the construction. One of the original problems with the carport was that you were able to make it sway by leaning on it. Anthony and I discussed it and he was aware of the issue. In the building process, They had glued the base boards to the concrete with epoxy rather than drilling holes and using concrete screws. Then the studs were toe nailed to the base boards and the existing structure. The result was that I found that the walls are not square and true. The whole shed has a slight forward lean to it. This could have been prevented by building the walls using a header and footer and then attaching the wall to the existing structure for an added cost of maybe $20 in lumber. In addition, even though they used pressure treated lumber, they did not place any moisture barrier between the lumber and the concrete even though I had requested it on several occasions and even purchased the moisture barrier material for them. Most professionals agree that lumber (even pressure treated lumber) and concrete should have a barrier between them so as to prevent the lumber from wicking moister from the concrete and insuring mold prevention. As it stands, the only thing attaching the structure to the concrete is a little epoxy and there is little or nothing else preventing water from entering the building or getting to the wooden structure. In time I expect serious problems to develop. Finally, the doors were poorly made in that they were not equal or built properly to the opening. Instead, they appear to have been made without the use of a tape measure and there was an apparent attempt to use siding to cover gaps. The hardware used to secure the doors were small sliding bolts rather than an actual door handle with a key. I had to replace the hardware and am currently in the process of covering the gaps. Bottom line, this job could have been done a lot more professionally for the cost.

ARS and the people that work with them did an excellent job on our project which involved remodeling, electrical, and painting. They were reasonable on their pricing, always on time, and interactive with us on the project. They made sure to protect our property and cleaned up when they were finished. A professional job done by all. Do not hesitate to hire them.

Painters were very friendly and respectful. After agreeing to cover all holes, I did find several small holes in bedroom that went unpatched. They also do not tape, so there was some small splattering on the trim in the room, but I was amazed at how quickly everything went. They worked together so well. Their timing of what to do when was amazing. The only other problem I had was the lighter color paint in the living room I had selected, and the natural lighting in the room made it difficult to determine if the cut-ins around the ceiling had covered everything. I had to pull out a worklight to assist. They were great, and worked with my schedule. Very honest company to work with. I was very pleased with the work they did. Previous painters had left running paint drips around. They sanded them down. The rooms look very professional.

They came out to our house and they told us that they will have an estimate for us in a couple of days and it did not happen so my wife emailed them. We got no response initially as I recall and she emailed them again and then we got a response that they had some problems with their company and they will not do the work. They were unreliable. I do not know what happened with their company and the guy who came out was not prepared. He said that he was going to be here at a certain time but he did not show up at that time and then he rescheduled and it was late for that. They sucked when it came to punctuality.

They did nothing. They promised an estimation and I never heard from them. Too bad

I left a message requesting an estimate and received a callback within the hour. We scheduled the estimate appointment for the next day. Mr. Barela showed up on time and gave me an estimate and scheduled the repair for the very next day. The repairmen not only showed up on time, they arrived a little early. They repaired the drywall and even went through the cans of paint in my garage to match the paint color of the garage! I am very pleased with their work and their professionalism.

The employees were very professional and trustworthy. They were there when they said they would be there. I would definitely use them again.

Everything matched and came out really good. They did a wonderful job. I was very pleased with the people and the work. The price was wonderful. The owner came out to make sure everything went well.

The painters were great, respectful and punctual. Just a lil bit of paint got on my newly painted trim but I never called to tell the company.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. They did a great job. We spent a lot more money with them because they did a lot more painting. The painters were great. They did a fantastic job. They were very professional. There was an issue in how one of our decks that needed to be repaired had been measured. They had to buy some more materials and they ended up doing it for free. They were very conscientious and they did a great job.

They showed up on time and were very professional. They did a great job painting. I would highly recommend using this company and I will be using them in the near future.

I will definitely use this company again! The work performed was excellent. The team of painters consisted of two brothers. They were very polite, professional and really know how to do an outstanding job of painting. They didn't even tape the walls and everything was perfect. I give them an A+++++++++!!!!!!!

I was completely satisfied with the painting of my guest room, and I am very picky about painting. He did a beautiful job, two coats of the paint I had selected, filled in picture holes and I did have two large holes from a shelf bolted in the wall that he filled and patched and you can't even see. Perfect ceiling lines, no paint on baseboards. He cleaned up, I didn't even know it was done and helped me move my bed back into place. I can't remember the painter's name, but he was wonderful, professional, very nice and skilled. I would recommend this service to anyone. I got a wonderful result. Will definitely use them for my next painting job.

I called and left a voicemail on Sunday afternoon 8/11/13. Things are very busy at my work and I was hoping this would put me on their radar so I would get a call sometime Monday. I did not get a return call. On Friday afternoon (still during the work day) of that week I left a second voicemail referring to the first message left and letting them know I had not been contacted and please return my call. Again no call back. It has now been over a week since I left the second message. Very disappointing.

I did not use the coupon in time and the provider told me that if I didn't use it, I was just out the money. This is against the law and based on that response, I would NEVER use this company for anything. At the minimum the company should have offered to honor that money I have already paid and apply it towards services. That wasn't even a consideration based on the correspondence thus far.

It was a good experience. They were reliable and they were here when they said that they would. The job was completed when they said that it would be.

They never got the estimate to us. We have since moved on with another company. They were nice when we were dealing with them.

So far, everything is great. They have been working there for probably about six weeks and they have done great. Everyone is professional and reliable. The price is average for what they are doing. Everything has been perfect.

Anthony and his team were wonderful to work with! Anthony was by here often to check on progress and made sure that areas needing to be re-touched or fixed were done. I also changed my mind on the paint color for the bathroom walls and vanities after the initial color did not work well. They willingly re-painted with new colors, even though it may have pushed them back on finishing time. They put making the customer happy at the top of their priority list. We would definitely use Anthony and his team at ARS again!
