Response from Affordable Renovation Services LLC
The project was a 22'x20' patio cover. The delay came when the Engineer gave us the wrong forms and plans for which the City of Schertz requires. We hired a different engineer who expedited the new plans. When this member called to voice her concerns, before we even started on the project, the company owner offered to give her a full refund for the down payment on the project, she declined and we continued as scheduled. When you build a patio cover of this size or any other size for that matter, we are required to have every phase of the project inspected by CITY INSPECTORS, to insure that everything is being built to CITY CODES! WE NEVER FAILED ANY INSPECTIONS!! WE ALSO DON'T HAVE ANY CONTROL OVER WHEN OR WHAT THE CITY INSPECTORS GO OUT TO DO THEIR INSPECTIONS, AND IT CLEARLY STATES THAT WHEN YOU CALL IN TO SCHEDULE THOSE INSPECTIONS!! We had the appropriate people on the job, there were many different trades used on this project, it's not about how many people you have on a project at any given time, because it's not like one trade can do the work for another! The owner also gave her a discount at the end! She should rest assure that her patio cover was WELL BUILT!! In this business sometimes it's hard to please every single person out there! We still continue to strive for excellence and our continued business from past clients as well as new ones proves that!
