ACL Painting

Everything went fine, the only problem was my husband found where the gutter was not removed, just painted around. The owner came out, removed the gutter and found damaged wood that had to be replaced before he could finish painting.

The painters arrived promptly as scheduled and power washed the house. We had to wait for a day or two for the house to dry. The painters returned and caulked the entire house and completed the job in three days. I paid the balance due with the understanding they would return and paint a section above the awning and a window sill that had been overlooked. After calling every week for six months and being assured the work would be done I finally registered a complaint with the Complaint Resolution unit. My complaint was received courteously and the painting company was contacted. The response from the contractor was immediate and the painters came and completed the job.

Accepted estimate. Have delayed start of project until summer 2014. Will contact ACL with details around winter 2013.

We were finally able to have A C L Painting, paint the interior of our home. Due to personal issues, the job had to be put on a five month delay. The interior painting turned out so good, we decided to get new carpet. A C L did have to come back to repaint an accent wall due to paint problems. We would like to thank Michael for working around our scheduling issues. Yes, we would use Michael again. Michael always responded in a timely manner to any questions that arose.

Initially at the time the job was to be done, Michael, Jr. came to give a bid on the project and called in several days to schedule once we contacted him. There was a little wait due to rain that delayed them on the job previous to ours. Ron and Phillip were on the crew that did the painting. The prep work was done in record time. We especially appreciated Ron's help determining and matching the colors we wanted used. They were very professional and friendly and built instant rapport with us. They arrived late several days, but made up for it at the end of the day. We felt sorry for them as the temperatures were much hotter by the time they arrived and continued to increase by the time they left at the end of the day, sometimes as late as 7:30 p.m.. They did everything we asked and most of the time, anticipated what we needed and wanted. They are definitely a company that you should consider when needing painting to be done. One and half years after the painting, we find that some paint is peeling in a very visible place. We have been trying to reach Michael Ramirez and have had several attempts both on email and phone leaving messages, he has not returned our call. (We have a written 10-year warranty in hand.) We are very unhappy and are changing the previous rating of him lower because of that and would not recommend him for further paint work.

Michaels crew was stellar. My house was transformed from an ugly out of date nothing into a beautiful home. I have people stop by and comment on how great it looks. I used Michael judgement and the paint colors and he was dead on.

I had to point out to workers to patch several areas, after walk through I had to speak to Michael before worker would redo a discrepancy in the paint in the master bedroom I had to have the texture work completely redone because it was not uniform and completely unacceptable One of the workers painted part of my vanity with the wall paint without my permission (I had the vanity professionally painted last year) I had to request that paint be removed from the newly painted ceilings The deal was for 2,000 sf of wall space, but Michael did not measure when he provided the estimate Michael was very difficult to get hold of initially and he called to cancel 3 minutes past the appointment time for the initial estimate

It worked out very well. They did the exterior, but they did more and so I ended up paying more money, but they did an excellcent job. First of all the owner called me all the time to give me update and I think like we had some bad weather or something and they were supposed to come and he would call me and tell me why they couldn't come and there were couple of delays that he was always calling me and telling me what was going on and the man that he sent to do the painting was really nice, very thorough, pointed out somethings that are like on our roof that were wrong so he was very very good, and very experienced. They are very professional and very nice people. I absolutely would use them again.

I have been dealing with selling a former rental house since June 2013. The nasty tenants and their pets left the house in a classic "post-sec 8" condition. Because I live in New England, trying to make the house sell ready by proxy has been pure h**l. After getting burned by a "professional" referral via a online handyman service, i realized that handy men are mostly overpriced rip-offs. So i decided to hire a relative to paint the interior - you can guess the results(ACL painting can confirm the outcome). Michael at ACL called me and i let him know i was looking for some honest, do-what-you-say service. By this time there had been 24 showing of the home and i received 1 insulting low ball offer. After coordinating paint purchase( graciously offer at contractor's price), Michael had his crew start that evening (7/18) and finished by noon on 7/21. The home looks fantastic and there were no touch up issues. The realtor took new pictures and reopened the home for viewing. My thanks goes to Michael and the ACL team- happy painting and much prosperity . I also want to send my thanks to the Angie's List community for being spot on with this recommendation.

Very well. The crew members were courteous and conscientious. Owner communicated well with my wife and me. Work was finished in a timely matter.

We contacted several companies to get an estimate for the painting of our home. Mike Ramirez was knowledgeable, had good angie's list reviews, and offered the best pricing. After his original visit, it took one day for the written estimate - it took me a few more days thereafter to gather the rest of my estimates. On Thursday, I returned Mike's call to schedule the job - he mentioned Saturday would be good! I accepted (very excited, as we'd been wanting to paint these rooms for almost a year) and he arrived promptly at 9am on Saturday. He brought his sons and two additional painters, all of whom were very professional and pleasant. In less than 6 hours, the job was completed properly and beautifully. There are 2 additional rooms in this house that need painting - told Mike I'd give him a call in a couple of months to get that done:)! Great experience, professional and very pleasant folks.

I had went for the package deal with interior work for 599.99. Originally it was supposed to be completed in 1-2 days but was completed in 2 weeks. The whole process was fair it wasn't the best or went the smoothest but was satisfied in the end. I only had one painter for the most part (Paul) which I'm sure had a lot to do with it. Mike and Paul were pleasant to deal with. There was alot communication issues that came about but corrected in the end. The work wasnt perfect but was great for the price and since I couldn't be home most of the time I had someone house sit for me who was an artist and was able to find before he completed the work any bad spots. The 4 things I would say werent the best was1. punctuation - there were times Paul was extremely late. 2 there was instance where Paul locked himself in my bedroom to work. I wasn't entirely comfortable with that but it was address to him. 3. Was over purchase of paint I still have 6 cans of paint nearly full left. 4. Was communication. A lot of communication was done over text and through one person to another. It was addressed but I have to be honest as I am sure it wouldn't be an every job experience with everyone but it did happen in this case. Outside of that the deal and end job was was great. I enjoy my new house and colors it has taken on with the personality each room now holds

Square footage in the advertisement was misleading and not the square footage they paint. The paint job was blotchy in the living room and uneven throughout the area. Appeared to have missed several spots too.

Great communication with both owners, father and son. Workers were very prompt and completed the work in a timely manner. Examined the work performed and was nothing but please with the services provided. Will use again.

Michael Ramirez appeared first to assess the job, make an estimate, and establish a starting date (Monday 5/13). I was happy with the start date but mentioned that due to an out of town trip, only the first three days (5/13-15) would be available for painting. If the job was not finished in three days, the team would have to stop and return the following week. Michael said that he believed that the job could be done in three days. The start date arrived but the ACL painting team did not. I called Michael Ramirez and was told that he had agreed to start the job not exactly on 5/13 but sometime during the week that began on 5/13. I reminded him of the 3 day limit and that my recollection was that the job was to start on 5/13. He agreed and put together a team that would arrive sometime on 5/13. He also said that a "foreman" would be included in the team and implied that this was a good thing that would benefit me greatly. The team arrived after noon on the start date but unfortunately, had no idea what they were supposed to do. Consequently, I had to lead the foreman (Paul) through the entire job. After the job limits were established, we had to review paint chips to make sure that we got the right color and finish. The first pick was the wrong texture and color and had to be repurchased. Consequently, virtually nothing was done on the start date except to pick and purchase paint. The job was finally finished but required not 3 days, but a full 7 days with 2-3 painters on each day. Also, I had to lead the "foreman" Paul through the job at least two more times because he kept forgetting just exactly what he was supposed to do. All in all, my encounter with ACL painting was unpleasant. Michael Ramirez Sr. (the above is Jr.) apologized to me re the rickety progress.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He brought in 5 guys and it was supposed to take 3 days. The second and third days he sent 2 guys. By the end of the third day when it wasn't done, he came up and told me what he paid them and that if I wanted them to stay any longer, then I would have to pay them. I told him no that I had purchased this deal. I had asked him about painting the trim and doors and he said that would be $300 and I asked about a second coat and he said he would only charge me $400 more. I said okay. The first day he was supposed to do any repairs that were going to be needed and patching. They did one little patch job over the back patio door where I had some curtain rods. They didn't do anything else. I brought it up to them and one of his workers and I both called him and he said they had the materials and to do whatever to make me happy. On the third day, he said he didn't say all of that and what he meant when he gave me the quote for the door was just one side of the door. He said he wasn't painting the other side and I said that he should have been clear on that. He said that I was trying to get things for free and that he hadn't said certain things. I told him that we had a deal and I expected him to honor it. I have a large dog that can be mean and aggressive. I told them not to open the door and to let me know so that I could lock the dog in my room or tie him up. The owner was ranting and raving at me the next day and I told him not to open the door. He opened the door but luckily the dog was towards the back more. Then I got mad at him and backed him up and told him that he wasn't going to deal with me like that. I fed them lunch and stocked up on Gatorade and drinks and bought pizza for them. They were supposed to come back and they didn't show up. I called Mike on the phone and he didn't answer. I used my son's phone and he answered because he didn't know the phone. I talked to them at 9 am and he said they were on their way. I called at 11:30 and he said he couldn't believe they weren't there. My son let him have it and he said he could be there in 5 minutes. He called back in 5 minutes and said why didn't I just pay him for what he had done. I said no. He called later that night and said let's just call it quits and that he wasn't going to come back. The 2 workers that stayed were very good. They were nice and very professional. I didn't have a problem with them. The price was good. They left all of their stuff all over the place. He sent his guys over 4 days later to pick up their stuff.

He was very diligent and precise- I will be using them again for the interior. He was also very responsive.

2 painters worked for 2 straight days, and completed the job. Work was all done by hand, not by paint sprayer, so the work is smooth and solid.

Courteous, prompt, reasonable, honest.

Ron and Philip showed up on time, moved the furniture, and finished the job on time. I will definitely use this company again. My house looks better than it did when it was new. Also, they purchased the paint so I did not have to run back and forth to the paint store, which I liked. They use Behr paint, and I don't think I will have to repaint for a very long time.

I purchased the Big Deal on the 30th of May. I tried to get ahold of the company twice via phone and did not get a call back. I was in the process of moving and needed it done before I left again on a business trip.

Michael gave me a quote over the phone and had Paul start painting the very next day. Paul worked very hard and the paint job looks great! Prices are very reasonable, easy process, great painting!

Ron and Philip worked Mon, Tues, Wed and completed job. Looks like top notch pro job.

Mike was prompt in meeting with us and in giving us an estimate. The painters started working when he said they would, only two days after the estimate was finalized. They did a good job of repairing/replacing some rotted wood siding and eaves. The paint job looks good and the painters were friendly and professional. The job was finished promptly, within about two weeks, and probably would have been finished sooner except we had a couple of rainy days. All the old wood and other trash was cleaned up and hauled away at the end of the job. Great service!
