I emailed Handyman Matters & I did not get a phone call or email. The least they could of done is give me a courtesy call letting me know that they do not service my area or that at this time they are too busy.. Not very professional on their part.

Steve arrived on time and did a great job on every project. He is very professional, takes great pride in his work, and is flexible. We originally intended to have a light fixture installed in the entry way, but once he got here we decided against it, and had him do some of the projects described above. He adjusted to the change in plans without a problem.

I was very pleased with Steven's service. The price was fair and the quality of the work was good.

The service went well. I had no problems with them. They just had some problems on who is going to do the care and modifications so another person was sent out to do the job. He was unaware at first on what it is all about but in the end, it worked out fine.

Frank called and arrived early, no problem. I showed him the pictures I wanted to be hung and also the materials I had in the house that he could use. (No one said I needed to provide the picture hangers; the last time the handyman brought them himself). Anyway, 2 out of the 4 pictures are hung too high and so I decide I would re-do today. When I went to take one picture that weighs approx 20 pounds off the wall, one of the nails that was holding it up fell out of the wall. Geez... I could have just put nails in the wall to hang these, I wanted them secure. Needless to say I am patching holes and will re-hang this myself. I have had good experiences and bad experiences with Handyman Matters. I don't believe I will call them again. For the price they charged me yesterday it was not worth the aggrevation.

Easy project just too high over my head to reach.

The handyman took care when removing old stairs so that trim pieces were undamaged and could be used to install the new stairs. When he discovered that the stairs I purchased were the wrong size, he outlined options for solving the problem and the cost of each choice. At my request, he went to Lowe's to exchange the stairs for the correct size. He promptly called from Lowe's when he encountered a problem with the exchange and followed my preferred course of action. The job from start to finish, including the trip to Lowe's, took about 4 hours. Everyone, from the representative who answered the phone and scheduled the appointment to the handyman who preformed the work, was professional and efficient. I am extremely satisfied with Handyman Matters and will use their service again.

Walter Caraballo called me back and we discussed my needs in length. I had a special circumstance. I needed a handicap ramp for a travel trailer with limited space. He told me he had a couple of leads and wanted to make a few calls and would get back with me in a few days. He did. He found an aluminum ramp and sent me some comparison points to consider between aluminum and wood. We did not choose to go the aluminum route but appreciated his efforts to help us. Nice to talk to on the phone and I will contact him in the future.

I needed to have a security brace installed on the floor in front of an entryway. It is the kind that screws into the floor and because it required drilling through the concrete slab I decided to have a handyman do it rather than attempt it myself. Job went well from start to finish. Handyman Stephen arrived right on time and after a brief discussion, went right to work. The brace was installed correctly within a reasonable amount of time. I used an Angie's List coupon that waived the estimate fee, so all I paid for was the actual work; a very good deal.

Office staff seemed friendly and efficient. Estimate was promptly provided via email. Handyman arrived as scheduled. Job required 2 days. due to weather, he was rescheduled for the second day. He called when he arrived to let me know he was there. He took time to check out and address a window that had leaked during a recent storm. Will use again.

Everything was great. They came quickly, were punctual and very professional.

They are very professional and nice people. They did an awesome job and I am extremely pleased with the job and with them. They will be getting a lot of business from me. I have also referred them to two of my friends.

Overall, everything went well. When problems occurred, he was able to figure out solutions.

The repairman was friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. He noticed that we had a pressure cooker and talked about growing up with his mother also using a pressure cooker. I mentioned that the lid was stuck and he offered to see if he could fix it, and he did!!! What great customer service!!

Employee was on time, and was thorough and professional.

Ed McGinnis let me know that he was on his way, but would be a few minutes late. Ed said that the repair would be no problem and proceeded to fix the gutter despite having to work around trees and sometimes stand in a precarious position on the ladder. He even added a few extra nails to insure that the gutter would stay permanently attached, and also went along the length of the gutter hammering in any nails that were loose. I am very pleased with the repair and the price was exactly as quoted.

They said I needed to pick out the parts that I needed at a store and do the measurements myself. The kitchen is new, I just wanted to put in drawers in the pantry. I called for them to do the work for me and all they did is direct me back to a store! They apparently do not to cabinetry work like I thought they did.

When I called to get a quote for hanging curtains rods I spoke to a friendly employee. She explained about the flat hourly rate and how they do things. I appreciated this because it is a different process than with other providers I have used. There were convenient appointments available within two days. I received a call from the handyman the night before confirming our appointment, and a call the next morning that he would be able to arrive a little early. He was polite and got right to work. Curtain rods were all hung up and looked great! He was working quickly to get the whole job finished in one hour and made sure I was happy with the work. The service fee was waived with a coupon from Angie's List. I would use this company again.

Our house was built in 1962 and we are slowly repairing years of neglect. Part of a gutter had fallen during the last rain storm. A portion of the wood base to a large side window had been destroyed by termites and parts of the wood trim around the sliding glass doors had fallen off. I e-mailed Handyman Matters asking for a quote on this and some other things needing to be done. They got back to me promptly and had a handyman out within a couple of days to give me an estimate. I was e- mailed the estimate the next morning. Once I decided what most needed repairing that was in my budget an appointment was set up for the end of the week. The handyman came on time, worked hard, finished everything to my satisfaction and even finished in less time than was estimated so I paid about 150.00 less than the estimate. He was courteous and professional. I will definitely be using this company again.

My mother had a appointment set for 10/1/2012, between 10-11am for someone to come out and give an estimate. I cleared my schedule so I could be there with her. The handyman did not arrive at the appointed time, so I called and was told that someone would call us back soon to give a new appointment time. We never received the call back. I wasted my entire day waiting on these people. We have moved on to another company.

He showed up on time, was very polite and knew what he was doing. Very pleased with his work.

Seriously this is a nightmare. Estimate was good. They sent the "handyman" who would be doing the work out to do the "estimate". A two day job took 6 weeks. Number one: you don't spray paint a 12x12 room! He used the wrong paint on the wrong surfaces, made a mess everywhere and the painting was HORRIBLE. Day four he spent in the room with the window open in 100+ degree weather on his computer trying to figure out how to install the crown moulding he said he knew how to do. He never did install it. To the owner's credit, he came out and saw the mess. Had two other employees correct the mess, replace a fan that was ruined, absorb the cost of some of the extra material including paint that was needed because of the first guys mistakes, but we still have two rugs with paint on them that WE will have to replace, windows and screens that may have to be replaced if they cannot be cleaned properly. We would never recommend this company and will never use them again.

I didn't get to use this service before it expired. They were very nice on the telephone, though!

I received a quick appointment estimate. I was given a list of what supplies that were needed, what to expect, the time frame, and the cost. Jerry, the repairman, was very professional and knowledgeable. He did a great job and I would definitely hire him again. The only problem was that there was supposed to be a helper with him to do the heavy lifting. I was able to assist him so he was able to complete the job. The price of the install was adjusted to reflect the actual labor cost.
