The work took a week. When Steven the carpenter came he was very freindly. My patio umbrella broke two days before, he took it home an fixed it on his on time and it works better than it did when I bought it. Steven replaced the back door an fixed the garage door. There was changes with the siding repair and some rooting behind the siding but Steven was willing to work with me and every thing turned out great. I will be using him again in the future.

Marc was on time and got right to work. He quickly repaired the runners of a cabinet drawer that had come off the cabinet base. He even vacuumed up the broken tile shards the kitchen renovator had just let drop inside the cabinet base a decade ago. He then removed a broken bulb from an outdoor light fixture. This is not as easy a task as it may sound. The bulb was broken at the base and had been stuck in the fixture for a very, very long time. But he persevered and got the danged thing out. Marc is very personable and capable. If he is representative of the folks working for Handyman Matters, then it is a company worth doing business with. I will definitely call him again.

They were really good, but quite slow. they charged me $75.00 per hour; I needed help in another time to fix a fallen cabinet when I was out of town, and they came right away when I was calling for an urgent help. They were really good.

Good even though there were a few errors but they were resolved. This is the second time I have hired Handyman Matters

It went very well. It was a challenging project but Rick did a great job. I was very pleased and would use their services again.

A gentleman named Bill B came out and met me and we discussed the project. He was a very good talker and he said I would get my estimate within 24 hours. That was 8 days ago. I called the office three days after the initial meet and the lady said she would let Bill know I needed the bid. No response.Two days later I called Bill's cell phone, left message. No response. I had to move on the project so I gave the bid to their competitor who was very response and prompt. I should have known this would happen since the only "F"s Handyman Matters has received on Angie's list were for this very thing. Non-responsiveness. Do yourself a favor and read all the reviews. I have found the reviews are a good indication of the reliability of a company. I have used Angies List companies many times so I should have been more diligent in my vetting.

On 10 Jul 2018, Handyman Matters (HM) (Steven) performed creative work to install an access panel underneath the master tub, so that plumbing fixtures could be reached. The work required cutting through grout and hardboard, then re-positioning studs supporting the tub, so plumbers might more easily reach the fixtures. To avoid the appearance of an access panel since it is inside the bathroom, Steven installed magnets on the hardboard and studs to mount the tile, then grouted around the tile with material that could be easily cut and repaired if access was needed. Steven also replaced light switches, installed new cabinet hinges (after locating the replacement hinges on the internet), mounted mosquito netting, and replaced garden timbers. Steven does absolutely, excellent work. He is a fine craftsman and shows initiative and creativity that solves problems. He is a conscientiousness member of the Handyman Matters team. Handyman Matters has earned our highest recommendation.

On 20 Jun 2018, Handyman Matters (Steven) skillfully removed the tile, grout, and hardboard around two shower fixtures without cracking the tile. The tile was too old to be matched with new replacements, so the tile could not be broken. He replaced the old fixtures with new ones, attached new backboard to the tile, and grouted the tile in place. While waiting for the grout to dry, Steven repaired a bench leg and installed dimmer switches for outdoor light fixtures. Steven continues to perform excellent work for us. He’s prompt to appointments, works steadily, and leaves the work area better than he found it. We turn to Handyman Matters—specifically Steven —for the actual work and advice for planning it. He’s terrific.

(1) Steven troubleshoot electrical outlets that worked intermittently. Found that the wiring was connected but not tightly. Wires were stripped and reconnected using replacement screws on the outlet box. Work all the time now. (2) Large lantern fixtures by the front door needed new bulbs. Steven selected the proper LED replacements. The sockets had rusted due to the rain. The sockets had to be drilled out and replaced. Better than ever now. Overall, Handyman Matters (HM) did the necessary troubleshooting to solve the problems. Work done within the time allocated by HM. Great service.

Marc came out earlier than scheduled, but contacted me prior to make sure it was ok. The doors were out of track and wouldn’t close properly, but Marc worked to repair the doors at a very reasonable price. I will definitely use them again.

Marc was great. He arrived early and started work right away. He did a great job and was very clean in his work. Would definitely use Handyman Matters again and ask for Marc,

Initially, the scheduler/office personnel was friendly and attentive. She had numerous difficulties with the email correspondence. I did not receive an estimate or receipts for a considerable amount of time. She evidently forgot to put scheduled work visit on their calendar. When I called to see where the repair man was at on the day of the visit, she had no recollection of our conversation and did not take responsibility for her error. She was not apologetic and did not try to make efforts to correct her mistake or to compensate. The next available appointment to finish the work was not until a week later. The repair man was very friendly and helpful and I was very satisfied overall with his work with one exception. He put together a piece of exercise equipment backwards. The weight distribution would’ve been unsafe. I notified the owner of the difficulties I had experienced. He responded via text message but was not apologetic and did nothing to help make the situation better.

Amazing, estimate was lower than I had hoped for! Professional, Rick is great. Truly our new handyman for all future needs!

I've had Marc work at my home for more than 2 years now. His workmanship is excellent and is so easy to work with. He is professional, on time and is very responsive to addressing whatever work my home needs. I've never encountered anything he cannot do. I totally trust him to advise me regarding what is the best solution for my problem.

Very surprised at the availability. Called on a Thursday and Marc was at my house Friday at 10 am. Prior to arriving I received a couple texts; one to confirm the appointment, and the other to let me know he was on his way (with tracking). When he arrived, he assessed what I needed, went to the hardware store to get additional parts and completed the job quickly and thoroughly. Highly recommend this company and Marc!

I could not be happier with Marc Chambers. He's such a hard worker, called to let me know when he was arriving, cleaned up and respects you and your household and made sure before he left that I was satisfied. Even helped me get Bentley in and out of his doggie door...going above and beyond what was expected. Then, followed up again to see how my dog was loving his doggie door. WOW...what great customer service. If you are looking for a Handyman...Marc is the guy!

GREAT!! They replied to my call very quickly and had me scheduled a few days later. The handyman showed up on time and assembled the bunk beds exactly as outlined in the instructions. He was friendly, skilled, and incredibly professional.

I have had Mark do an assortment of small jobs from replacing and painting baseboard on our deck to inflating the wheels on my garden wagon to planting plants to pressure washing our driveway to replacing and painting the trim on the garage etc.etc. etc. Working with Mark is so incredibly easy as he has an eye for what might be a problem and what is a possible fix.. I highly recommend him!!

In short, the work was done quickly and correctly, at a reasonable price, by a friendly and professional handyman. This experience was one of the best household work experiences I have ever had. I will call this company again. Steve arrived at the appointment time. I showed him the jobs I needed done: finish moving and assembling a large, modular bookcase; replace weatherstripping on front door; repair or replace some torn window screens; cut and place outdoor carpeting for entryway; and check a dripping faucet. Steve went right to work. He was very knowledgeable, and worked quickly and efficiently, making one trip to the store for a few supplies. I expected that the jobs might take more than one day, so was pleasantly surprised when he had everything finished in four hours. He saw that the problem with the front door was not just weatherstripping, and moved the striker plates to greatly improve the way the door sealed. He then replaced the parts of the weatherstripping that were torn or brittle. All work was done properly and carefully.

Initial contact with company was very favorable. I spoke with Britney; who was professional, pleasant and very helpful. I was very favorably impressed. She scheduled someone to come out and assess the projects I had in mind. Mark arrived on time, after first giving me a courtesy call to let me know he was on the way. Another very good impression. He arrived, looked over what I needed and suggested doing two of my projects (inside work) since it was raining at the time and suggested rescheduling the outside work (which would include painting) for another time. He seemed knowledgable and proceeded with the two inside projects. They were promptly completed to my satisfaction. I will definitely continue to use Handyman Matters.
