Steve was very good. Traffic was bad, but he called to let me know he would be late. Not only did he do the items above, but pointed out several other things that needed a slight repair, which he did.

Ed did a great job assembling complicated furniture on his own. He helped me move it afterwards. I have always had great experiences with this company. There have been four different people over several months and they have all been first rate.

they sent out a dude named mark. I would say gentleman or technician but that wouldn't fit mark. it was more like hanging out with a buddy that had mad skills. he was always professional and worked thru my why do this and how does that work? my gate that I used to have to push open with my lawnmower now opens with a slight breeze. all around quality work from a quality human being.not only does my gate now work but I know what to do if it starts to sag years from now. it's nice to work with people that can develop a plan execute the plan and get the end result you hoped for.

Steven managed to find a board that was very close in texture. No one would ever know that a board had been replaced and repainted to match. The original man who made the estimate went to the ER. Steve stepped in and the whole job was done flawlessly

Ed confirmed the appointment the before and showed up on time. He was very professional and knew what he was doing. He replaced a fence post that was rotting and reconnected a portion of the fence that had become loose and was falling over. He removed the 2 side pieces of the front door frame and replaced and painted the new pieces. The work was completed efficiently and timely. I will call this company again when I need some more work done.

Mark Chambers was wonderful!!! He set a time with us to do the repair and, when he was running late on another job, called us. We have a two story home and, of course, the squirrels were squeezing in a crack (honestly) at the highest point of our house. Mark repaired the affected area to our satisfaction!! Brandy does the scheduling at Handyman Matters and she was most pleasant and efficient. We most definitely will use this company again and especially request Mark Chambers who was professional, personable and knowledgeable!!

They were good, but for some reason he had to go back and forth to the car like 15 times and they charging by the hour. I thought the price was good, so I paid it.

He was awful. It's still not fixed. We were not happy. They didn't finish the first time. They came out the second time but I still have a gap under my door so I have to put a towel there. During the winter, all the cold air would come in. I could hear the wind coming through. I was not completely satisfied with the work. It wasn't like they were unprofessional, they just didn't finish.

Mark Chambers arrived when he said he would and began with installations of a surface mount latch to an old storm door which needed some modification to let everything line up properly. He knew exactly what to do and did it. I had also begun to repair a hose swivel joint on my old vacuum cleaner. He was able to remove the broken joint. While he was working on the door I replaced the broken joint with a new one. He then replaced the hose (tough to push in). Vacuum works just fine. A third quick repair was a side door to the garage which was losing its 35 year old weather stripping. He removed the old and replace it. Finally, previous owners had small dogs who had badly scratched a door exiting to the garage. Rather than replace the door I asked that he replace it with a panel of wood which he did. All the work was done quickly and expertly. He had great tips for using handyman services: make a list of needed tasks and have repairs materials and special parts handy, if needed, call when there are a few. He can get needed materials if needed but that time is part of the service, so having them handy keeps costs down. I am happy to say that all repairs are great and I will use Handyman Matters next time I have home repair jobs.

I am really pleased with the work done by tech Mark Chambers. He was careful and thorough with an excellent result. Mark began right away after he arrived and continued until the projects were completed. He was great to check with me as he worked to make sure we were on the same page. He left the area clean.

Marc Chambers was great. He was on time and worked very quickly. He knew I was on a limited time frame and got right down to work. He was polite and friendly and did excellent work. He was a pleasure throughout the job and I feel my money was well spent. I would not hesitate to employ him again and would recommend his services to anyone. He is a true professional. I was also impressed with Brandy who set up the job. She arranged the appointment quickly and set it up for two days later. Great service all around.

Marc Chambers is the technician doing the work. He called to let me know he could arrive early and arrived prompty at 1230. I showed him what to was needed and he went to work. He replaced both toilets, checked for lips, offered a suggestion for replacement of some molding in our powder room and he will return to do this in a week or so. He was professional and courteous.

On time and did a great job

Mark was very professional and personable. He recommended what was needed to fix the drainage from my roof and left to get the materials. He returned and did an excellent job. Then, since he finished that job in less than the scheduled time, he asked if there was anything else I needed to be done. So, I asked him to fix the lock on my door. He noticed the problem with my gate and fixed it also. Since then, I recommended the company to my niece. Her family used them to do some work at their hand were also very pleased with the Handyman Matters also. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

We couldn't be happier with our service! Mark Chambers came out on time and got right to work. He was very professional and could do everything we asked him to do. I have used Handyman Matters many times and have always been happy with their service and prices. We plan to continue using them in the future.

The craftsman, Stephen, showed up, went over the repairs to be made, and shortly thereafter, I got an estimate. The original amount was about 800.00, but the time it took to finish was considerably shorter, and I was only charged for actual time spent. Four separate places on the fascia and rake areas needed repair. I was scheduled for a day and a half, this was for the repair and paint work. Materials and labor were originally estimated at about 800+. I provided the paint, because I can always use it later. While this was scheduled, I found that another contractor could not install an over the range microwave I needed to have put in. I put in a call to HandymanMatters, and they added it to the scheduled work already planned. It was to cost me about 100 more for the install. Now we're talking 900+. They showed on day one, were finished in 3 to 4 hours (instead of all day), showed on day two, and were gone in about 3 hours. Absolutely superb work done (kudos to Stephen, and anyone he had with him). Very nice craftsmanship, very professional, and prompt. Bottom line is, great company. I will definitely be using them again. I was only charged for actual work time and materials. No inflated estimate. A fantastic company policy. Thanks again.

Marc Chambers was the handyman. Superb work. Came back next day to fix a loose wire. They are now my Go To handyman.

Steve was perfect! Timely, very pleasant and patient. He has a great calm demeanor. I will certainly contact him again for the next project.

I was looking for someone that knew how to put up these drapery rods because nobody uses these traverse rods anymore. So that’s what I specifically called for. They assured me that the person they sent out knew how to do it. He hasn’t done it in years. It took him probably an hour and half just to do that because he was having difficulty reading the directions and trying to figure how to put it up. He is a very friendly guy. He knew what he was doing pretty much but not really organized because he had to keep going back and forth to his truck to get the tools needed instead of bringing it all. He was probably done in two hours but it was stretched out. I was glad that he was able to do all that stuff because a lot of it needed a high ladder. It’s hard to find somebody that will do all this punch list items and check things. I would hire them again. I would just probably ask for specific questions to make sure that the person knew how to do this particular task. He was about an hour late. He called to say that he was running late but nevertheless he was late, which made him late for the next job too.

Marc was very professional and a gentleman. I would definitely call Handyman again to perform other jobs within and outside of my home.

The lady I dealt with on the phone for the workorder was courteous.The worker blended the texture of the patch great with the surrounding drywall. Punctuality was a problem. He stated he would show up at 10:30am after finishing up some paperwork and ended up coming 35minutes later with no update on his status. The point of contention for me with Handyman Matters is I was charged an hour for him "picking up supplies". I supplied paint and drywall blend primer! If it took him an hour to pick up a paintbrush and drywall dryer, I'm pretty sure that was a rip off. When asked why I was charged for him picking up supplies, he stated that's automatic. Well it was not automatic with the lady I dealt with on the phone who stated they charge by the hour and then in 15minute increments after that. Never was it stated paying for him "picking up supplies" for a job they knew aboout with a week advance. I was so fed up with the conversation. I would have been happy with the bill had I not got charged for that AND had a braeakdown on the invoice as to what I was paying for. I will not use them again nor will I refer them to the neighbors who wanted to hear about my experience before calling them. They lost more business as far as I'm concerned, but paint your own picasso. Get the questions and details BEFORE the job. It is evident that you won't hear everything over the phone OR with the worker (who is just there to do the job and has no real answers for anything involving the bill). Your money... Your choice, so I hope this serves you well in making a competent decision on hiring.
