After 12 weeks I stopped by the shop to check on progress. There was none. The owner was there and she chewed me out for a full 10 minutes for having the temerity to bring my refinishing project to her refinishing shop. She went on and on about how she doesn't like to refinish painted pieces and basically made me feel like total s*** for having brought such a project in. I didn't have the means to take the chest with me, so I just left. Exactly one year after dropping it off I finally picked it up. Their storage area was stuffed with similar pieces. So they accept work they have no intention of doing, then punish their customers for bringing them this business. What a waste of time. Too bad, because it looks like the work they actually perform is really good.

GREAT! It is hard for me to trust someone with my antique furniture, but they did a great job!

The work was excellent. The chair was a fairly straightforward job, although they put in some extra reinforcement. The table was a revelation. We inherited a piece that had been neglected and abused. We got back a show piece--utterly returned to its prime. The work was done in a timely fashion, they kept in touch, and the price was reasonable. The place isn't much to look at--putting the matter kindly--but they are nice folks to deal with and do fine work.

I was very impressed with the workmanship especially on the older pieces. They were very helpful with recommendations as to what should be done to the older pieces. Overall an excellent experience...can't wait to have another piece to take to them!

They were fabulous. I would absolutely recommend them. All other refinishers paled in comparison.

This is an excellent company. They are artists and their work is beautiful. They were professional prompt and very pleasant to deal with.

With the first chair, I couldn't tell it had ever been broken when I picked it up. It was stronger than before and it just looks great. With the deep cleaning on the other chair I was extremely impressed.

It went well. Took the chair by the shop and left for estimate. About 1 week later we received with an estimated range of $550 to $600. We authorized the work and 4 weeks later I called to check on the progress of refurbishing and was told the chair was completed.Picked up chair that afternoon and cost was plus taxes was $648.

Do not provide pick up and delivery which is unfortunate as we are an older couple. Took longer than expected but not a priority for us.

Spoke with owner Ms. Jessie on the phone with reference to dining room antique chairs that needed some re-gluing, upholstered bottoms that needed to be fitted inside the bottom a bit better and an antique breakfront that needed the doors adjusted and new beveled glass installed in one of the doors. Ms. Jessie told me they only come to my house to pick up chairs, etc. if the estimate for repairs is over $2,000.00. I do not have a pickup, only a car which none of the above will fit in, am a senior and can't lift items, don't know how to take the doors off the breakfront to deliver them or how to install them back once they are repaired. Bottom line: could not use them because Ms. Jessie said they are located out toward Hwy 35 and she would have to take a man/men off their present duties to come to my house in North Central S.A. and it was too big a risk because she would not have a guarantee that they would get the work. So she does not do in house estimates. However, her main finisher would give you a ball park figure on the phone, and adjust that figure once they see the work. But they only do pick-up service on repairs of $2,000 or more. They were very nice on the phone and I wish I could have used them. I'm giving them a C because it is a neutral figure because I did not use them. I can't use them in the future because I need in house estimates of work to be done (I hate surprises at the end!) and furniture picked up and delivered, even tho there may be an additional charge for that. They do not offer that service for repairs under $2,000.00.

Ace Furniture Refinishers rescued a table that had been badly restored by another Angie's List refinisher. They did an outstanding job of returning the painted table to it's original condition! They were knowledgeable, professional and prompt. I am grateful to have found them and will definitely use them in the future. Thanks, Ace Refinishers!

We've also had an old antique coffee table restored and we thought they did a great job. We would use them again. They have excellent prices.

45 year old chair needed recanning, They order cane and did a great job. They had the chair about a week. We have used them before to refinish a coffee table. They do outstanding work

I brought in an antique, Victorian era chair that was missing it's springs, needed to be re-glued and re-upholstered. I was given an estimate for all repairs and the cost of the fabric. When the fabric came in Ms. Jessie called me to let me know it did not look like the sample piece. She re-ordered the material in hopes the first amount was from a bad dye lot. When that order came in and also did not match the sample she called me again and helped me pick out another fabric. When it came in she called me to let me know it matched the sample and asked if I wanted to see it before using it on the chair. When I picked up the finished chair I was thrilled with all of the work that had been done. The work was well done at a reasonable price and the service was top rate. I definitely plan on using Ace Furniture Refinishers again.
