AAA Home Services Inc and Aaron's Chimney & Dryer Vent Cleaning

2 technicians arrived on time. While one went to the outside vent the other moved the dryer away from the wall, attached a blower to the duct, and started cleaning the vent. The vent hose was replaced with a new one then the dryer put back in its place. There was not that much lint so I did not have a lot of lint flakes flying around my backyard. Rolland also checked my gas fireplace, the electronic ignition and seal around front glass plate. I still have to check back in with them to get my lint brush. I forgot to contact them about it. The brushes were on back order at the time of service.

He took my gas logs and the grate out and of my fireplace, cleaned out the fireplace and the flute. He cleaned the fireplace really well and then painted it for me. He also stored my logs and grate in a box for me and carried them out to my garage. He was very good about not making a mess and took special care as to not get dust in my room and he also put a drape on my carpet to keep it clean. He was very professional. I would definately refer him. He did a really good job.

We hired Roland in the past to clean our dryer vent and install a bird guard on the outside dryer vent. He did an excellent job, as the dryer worked much better after he was done. The following year we went with a different company to clean the dryer vent because they had a "Big Deal" special, where we could get the chimney cleaned as well. The other company did a poor job with the cleaning. We ended up calling Roland again to clean the dryer vent more thoroughly. He is an honest and hard worker and gave us a fair price. We will definitely call him again in the future for his services.

Roland and his son arrived within the given time and quickly got to work cleaning our chimney. We have lived in this house for 15 years and had never had the chimney cleaned so the service was overdue. I also had described an issue we had had the past few times we had lit a fire with a downdraft creating smoke in the house for 2 or 3 minutes after first lighting a fire. This had concerned us that perhaps something was blocking the chimney. After thoroughly checking the chimney, Roland assured me that all was well; what I had described was more of a "cold air versus hot air" scenario. i was quite relieved. Roland took pictures of the outside top of chimney to show us no blockage as well. The service took approximately 30-45 minutes and was done professionally and neatly. I would highly recommend AAA Home Services, Inc to anyone in need of chimney services.

The service was great. They were on time, called before coming out. When they got here they looked at the chimney and said that it was already clean. so they just did an inspection and only charged me for the inspection instead of a cleaning. The top part of the chimney needs some work and he took pictures and sent it to me via email from his phone, and before he left my house I had the invoice/receipt emailed to me. It simply could not have been any more efficient.

Fast, courteous service. Did chimney sweep, repaired cracked mortar, and replaced rusted chimney spark arrester. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

I was very pleased with the service. Roland called before the visit to let me know he was on his way. He cleaned out the dryer vent both at the back of the dryer and on the roof. He completely cleaned all of the lint outside that was extracted from the vent. He also determined the vent coil on the back of the dryer was too long and replaced that for me. I will use this company again and would highly recommend his services.

I called for an appointment early in the week. Although they were booked, they worked me in for early this morning (Friday) since I needed something done right away and since it wasn't very time consuming. I was given a time of 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. The owner, Roland Perez, showed up at 7:50, immediately assessed the problem and repair needs, and got to work. I was impressed with how quickly he arrived at a solution for the screen and how knowledgeable he appears to be. He first got the damper unstuck very quickly and made sure it opened and closed easily. He attached the screen, consisting of a metal unit containing both screens and glass doors, directly to the cement just to the inside of the fireplace so it is far less likely to loosen. He was careful to place a cloth down to prevent getting anything on the carpet. I found Roland to be very professional, friendly, and efficient. He also provided me with some tips on preventing problems and assessed my mention of the chimney's seeming problem with draft. I will most definitely use him for any future problems with my fireplace as well as to handle any pest control measures in my attic, as he also specializes in that area.

We arranged the appointment after hours. I called, leaving a message expecting a phone call no sooner than the following day, as I called after hours. I received a return call that night. They had appointments available the following week and I took one that worked for us. The gentleman arrived, inspected the fireplace, discussed the job, and then started his work. He cleaned and grouted the fireplace, inspected the flue and the chimney outside and then placed a chimney cap up top so I will have no further Summer occupants in my chimney. He was knowledgeable and nice and I was happy with the work he did.

It went very well. The chimney sweep called ahead and came early. He inspected the chimney inside and out. Laid down a protective blanket and used a vacuum cleaner to collect any soot that was dislodged during the cleaning. He also gave us some tips on using our fireplace and recommended some tree trimming near the chimney. We will definitely use AAA Home Services again.

He arrived 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time, so had to wait at the front door while I got out of the shower. His blower came off a couple of times and caused dust in the air, and he warned his duct might come off in the future--he said the installation of the pipe from the wall was wrong, but we never had any trouble with the prior duct coming off. He did provide new replacement duct material from the dryer to the wall that is much shorter than the old one, which is good. The dryer lint was allowed to be blown out all over the grass and plants, rather than caught by some sort of collection bag. He made a minor attempt at picking up the mess, and then hosed the rest down on the grass. I gave a "D" for price and responsiveness because of the experience that happened at the end of the service: I had been quoted a price over the phone with the 5% discount that was significantly less than he said I owed. He said that quote didn't include the tax. In the past, if I have paid tax to a service provider (and I don't think I have most of the time), it was included in the quoted price, so in this case, it was not a nice surprise. I suggested to him that if you are telling me ahead of time over the phone what I will be paying, that it include the tax or at least say "plus tax". He got a bit hot and claimed no one had ever questioned the taxes before. However, to his credit, in the end he went ahead and charged me what I had been quoted. Before all that went on, I had asked about a chimney fire-blocking repair and he barely had the time to quote and it seemed high to me so I don't think he wanted the job. All in all, I got the service and the price I expected, but it was not what I would call a stellar experience.

AAA Homeservice did a great job. They were able to squeeze us in before a holiday so we could use our fireplace without worry. They were very professional and they laid down blankets to make sure they didn't make a mess on my floor. they cleaned up after themselves. They stayed for a minute to answer my questions about my fireplace and gave advice when asked. They advised me on what to look out for in the future regarding repairs and maintenance. I'd definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

I attempted to contact Mr. Perez again by phone over the course of several months. I never received a call back after leaving several messages and was continuously unable to get ahold of him. He was extremely nice when he did the quote and seemed knowledgeable. He also quoted me a very fair price for the work being done. I really wanted him to take care of my chimney, but at this point I have given up attempting to contact him. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to give him a bad review because of this. I would not advise people to avoid him, I just think he may have bitten off more than he could chew with too many clients. EDIT: I spoke with Mr. Perez following this review being posted. I have him scheduled to come out and perform work later this month. I will post an updated review and score following the work being performed. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication that I take partial fault for due to the timeline in which I contacted him. EDIT2: I apologize for the delay in updating this review. Mr. Perez worked with me to set a date before I left town for a long trip so I could be assured my issues were taken care of before I left. The workers were prompt, courteous, and performed the services exactly as we discussed. I've updated my review to reflect this. Thanks to AAA Home Services for fixing my chimney.

They arrived at the appointed time and immediately went to work. They spread a blanket in front on the fireplace to protect the flooring. With one man working from the inside of fireplace and another working from the roof, they cleaned the chimney and fireplace. The vacuum prevented soot from escaping into the room. Once the work was completed, they explained the condition of the chimney.

On time, courteous, efficient, and didn't charge us for a chimney cleaning that we didn't need at this time. Honest service provider!

I left a message with AAA saying that I needed chimney inspected and that I was looking at fire logs as well. They called back the next day and setup an appointment for the chimney inspection and cleaning for that same week. Roland was really good about explaining everything and he had a brochure of gas logs as requested - he came back 2 days after I decided I wanted the gas logs to install them. Gas logs work and look great! Will definitely use AAA in the future.

Mr. Perez drove over an hour to get to our house near the lake. He came prepared and ready to complete the job with his equipment in a materials trailer. We ask Mr. Perez to check several itmes the seemed to be a problem and did a visual inspection. Our Hearth has several cracks and the chimney was very dirty. No charge for the extra inspection along with a 15% discount on our bill. The work was and his travel was less than $200.00. We plan to have Mr. Perez come back and do the other work that is so needed for our fireplace to be safe. I recommend Mr. Perez of AAAHOMESERVICES CHIMNEY & REPAIR to ANY ONE that needs an skilled individual to make repairs in their home.

Rolan arrived on time and promptly attached a blower to the vent in my garage. He went to the roof and cleaned the vent from the top down with a brush attached to a drill motor. Lint came down like snow. When he was done on the roof he removed the blower, installed a new vent hose, reinstalled the drier to the correct position and cleaned up the lint as best he could. He then went to my mother-in-laws house and did the same thing. Very professional, courteous and clean.

Arrived on time and got set up quickly. Cleaned the fireplace and chimney, then got up on the roof to inspect the top side. Found a minor issue that could cause a problem in the future if not remedied at some point. We asked what he would charge and got a very reasonable quote. Was so impressed with his work (and total candor) we told him to come back at his convenience to fix it. He scheduled for the next Monday. Can't ask for better customer service. If we need chimney or dryer duct cleaning you can bet we're not going anywhere else. Price was for single story chimney cleaning and included Angies List discount and taxes.
