A1 Garage Door Service

Joe was prompt, curtious, and explained what the issues were with our garage door. Finished repair, cleaned up the area. We would call A1 again for additional service.

The tech called when he was on his way and he was timely.

They were quick to come out to do a repair and ended up selling me a whole new door. Then they missed their original appointment and due to miscommunications had me waiting at home on the morning of the original appointment. Once installed the door looks and performs great.

Did a Great Job.

Sloan had reprogrammed the logic board about 10 days earlier, and I happily paid the trip charge and hourly rate even though he was here for less than 10 minutes. The problem started recurring 7 days later. When I called A-1 regarding the recurring problem, Sloan was sent back out to install a new logic board. I paid for the board only, but no trip or labor charge for the return visit. Company's that stand behind their work are ones I prefer to work with.

Friendly and really accommodating

They came out on 3/15 and I gave them a $500 deposit and have not heard from them since 3/15.

The technician was prompt and professional. He installed a new garage door opener and performed some general cleaning and lubing of the door. He got my 20 year old garage door working like new again.

Excellentefficient and courteous, worth it

The A1 service man quickly identified the problem and made the repair necessary. I thought, however, he was trying to frighten me into making other expensive replacement to existing parts that were still working fine.

The workmanship and the service was great, but an estimated $200-$250 over the phone quote turned into a $550 after all the bells as whistles were added. The service technician told me that the $200 springs that I was quoted would last 2-3 years at the most, and if I want a spring that would last 10-15 years, it would cost $400. Who would want to to change the garage door springs every 2 years?? So I ended up buying the $400 spring. I wish the representative would have been upfront with me when he quoted me a $200-$250 cost.

They were 2 hours late and I had to keep calling them. They never called me. Expensive too.

Beware the stickers. I am trying to sell my house and had my garage nice and clean then the technician decided it would be a great idea to place stickers all over the place. I should have stayed with him the whole time. I learned a lesson. Also the service itself was quick but VERY expensive. I will look elsewhere in the future.

The technician Shane was wonderful - prompt, polite and professional. He pointed out that I needed a new torsion tube, bearings , drums and new support plates ($350) in addition to the broken spring, ($185) which I expected as they were part of the original garage door installation 32 years ago. I do think the parts charge was on the high-side, but I was able to use a $75 coupon>

We noticed our spring was broken in the morning and A1 was able to get a technician to us that afternoon. Our technician was professional and made sure our door was both operational and safe. Even though the project kept him past normal buisness hours he didn't rush and gave us his best service.

Was not shown an invoice in advance, merely handed a tablet with a signature pad. The technician told me he wold not charge me for the labor, but they did charge me wildly inflated parts prices. In the end I paid $370 for the replacement of a double spring and end plate bearings, because it seemed better than the $837 originally quoted. I paid it because I just wanted to get the job done, however , I would not even think of using this company again. Plus there were misrepresentations on what was to be repaired.
