A & H Lawn Service

The date originally scheduled had to be changed due to rain. As soon as she knew that the weather would prevent getting the job done, Alex, one of the owners, called me to reschedule. We set a date for the next week, contingent on the weather. The crew was able to work that day, and arrived within the expected time frame. They went to work quickly and efficiently, and did a thorough job. I could not find one dandelion when they were done. The crew finished near dark, so Alex had to return the next day to spray the weed killer, which she did. I had mentioned to her that I forgot I had printed a 10%; she kindly told me that I didnt need to provide it, that I could just subtract the amount from the price she gave me. The entire job was done well, and my husband and I are very pleased with the results. We would use A&H again, and recommend them to others.

We have a large lot with numerous flower beds. Alex was prompt in coming to our house to provide an estimate. She emailed a proposal within 24 hours. Her team worked for two full days clearing and pruning. They were punctual and very easy to work with. They took away all of the yard waste (three large trailer fulls) to the dump and left our yard looking great. We would definitely recommend A&H and I'm sure we will use them again in the future.

I contacted Alex after seeing the ad in the Angie's List magazine. Shewas very nice and came out quickly to give me an estimate. They do great work and are very resonable. I'm very pleased. I recommend them without reservation.

Although some of the work performed was in my front yard, the major task was to make the back yard look like civilization again. Flowers, trees, and grass hadn't been cared for in several years. The boxwood was so overgrown that it towered over the roof of the house and was probably 10 feet in diameter! Alex arrived promptly to survey the situation, advising me of what needed to be removed and how they were going to accomplish the tasks. There were a couple of things I asked that the work crew not touch, and she was very good about communicating that to them. I surmised that this job would take several hours, and she said that it wouldn't take more than two. She was right-- and the transformation was unbelievable!

Came out for an estimate on Memorial Day, and came to do the job on Thursday the same week. Called ahead and arrived on time. Three or four workers spent three hours trimming and shaping trees, which was the best job I've ever had. Another 45 minutes to do the lawn and flower beds in the front and back yards, which are small, but which have lots of plants and stuff. It looks neat and trim. I'm thrilled with the company and their product. Thanks for the referral.

They did not call me back for two days. I called three different times. They finally called me back and came out to do the estimate. They were charging 3 times as much as anyone else.

I called and left a message but never received a call back.

I contacted A&H after reading the reviews on Angie's List. An appt. was made to come out the next day and bid a sodding job. They no showed and I have never heard back from them.

They arrived in the morning and finished the job at about 2:30pm. They were professional and kept me informed about the progress. If a question came up about something in the yard, the owner came and got me. I was very pleased with the services they provided.

They do a good job. They are quick and pretty reliable. I have really not interacted with them much because I?m usually not here when they are here. The owner is very nice. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Very frustrating; delayed my projects 2 weeks and wasted my time and time off work. I saw their reviews off angie's list so I contacted them. Our first appt was scheduled for Thur afternoon. I left work early to meet them. They called soon before the scheduled appt time and said they were running late could it be later or another day? We agreed upon 2 hours later. They showed up but had their kids in the car and the appt was very rushed. They said they'd send an estimate in a few days. They did e-mail the estimate. The prices looked great but they left off the mulch completely (half the project). I was excited to start the work with them after seeing the prices. I had some questions so we set up an appointment for the following Thur. They never came, called or e-mailed. I sent an e-mail inquiry and never heard back. Don't let the prices lure you in; save your time and save yourself the frustration.

Alex came promptly to give an estimate. The estimate arrived bu email the next morning, and she was able to do the work that very afternoon. The crew worked hard, and Alex continually checked with me to get my approval. I am totally satisfied.

They were really great. I spent $70 on all that work and $40 for the leaves taken away in the trailer. They sent out a crew to do the work and they were very neat and outgoing. They settled the price ahead of time and told me my options about getting the leaves hauled away, so that was important to me. I thought that the price was reasonable for the work and felt that they were trustworthy too. They adapted to the weather really greatly and changed the time their schedule. They came out in the afternoon after it finished raining and before it rained again. They were very professional.

It's gone very well, they always come when they say they will come unless it's pouring rain then they will come as soon as they can after. Everyone comes with references already which is nice.

I got a couple of estimates from Angie's list providers and A&H was a little lower than the others. I told Alex I was ready to use her and she scheduled the work to be done within a week. 4 or 5 workers took one and one half days to complete the work. Everything was cleaned up when they finished. I am very pleased with the work.

Alex responded promptly to my query call. She and Hector came out at the scheduled time to look over the yard and then sent me a written estimate. They and their crew arrived promptly on the scheduled date. They were quick and thorough and completed everything I asked them to do. I just recently moved in to this home and it had been empty for quite a while. There was a LOT of work to do in the yard. They did a great job and i will continue using A&H to care for my lawn and yard.

i would recommend a&h lawn service to everyone. they were on time for the estimate and were on time to start the job. i have about 40 oak trees to be pruned. they finished the job in one day. the trees look excellent. my front and back yards are cleaner than when they started. alex and hector ,the owners stay with the job and work along with the others. their price is reasonable as i had about 7 estimates. i think i will be using them for lawn service in the spring.

I needed to get a yard mowed and cleaned up quickly. Alex called me back quickly and did the job the same day. They did a greatjob - Thanks You!!!

Having explained to Alex the problems we have had in the past finding reliable lawn service, she assured me that we would have no problems. She came out and gave us an estimate of $45 ($40 if cash) for our 10K sq ft cul-de-sac lot. We thought that was fair and arranged to have A & H come out once every two weeks, on Mondays, however, she agreed to have the lawn cut that Thursday since we were having company come in for the weekend. So our Mondays actually began two weeks after that. We were scheduled to have our lawn cut on Labor Day, but because of the rain, they did not show. On the 13th, I got a call around 11AM from Alex asking if we would like them to come out that day, and expecting them, I said yes. She stated they would be there at 1; they were there at 3, but that really wasn't a big deal. Fast forward to Monday--today, the 27th. They did not show as they were supposed to. When my husband called A&H, Alex stated that I told her that we wanted service every 3 weeks--something I never stated at *any* time and was actually quite ridiculous especially with all the rain we've had recently. She attempted to argue with my husband who let her know we would have to find someone else. A disappointing experience. I do not understand why lawn services in San Antonio are so unreliable and unprofessional...but we've had terrible luck with the three we've chosen (and two were from Angie's List).

A & H has been my regular service provider for nearly 2 years. My lawn is the nicest in the neighborhood and I have won the "Yard of the Month" award from my HOA. I couldn't possibly be more pleased with the service from this company and have recommended them to friends. Highly recommended to anyone who needs quality lawn maintenance and design for a reasonable price.

They are very responsive to phone calls, and provided a prompt estimate for some additional services we requested. The lawn service was reliable and looked great.
