A & H Lawn Service

Alex came out and gave us an estimate that was pretty much in line with what we expected and other companies had given us. They did a very good job on the first clean up (which cost more since we hadn't had service in a couple of months). They removed bushes which had died in the drought and tidied up our ragged edges. They now come regularly and I have been pleased with their service.

I was pleased with the work performed. I have a very small yard, and they mowed, edged, and trimmed efficiently and well.

Very punctual. Will communicate via phone &/or email. She demonstrated integrity and is extremely conscientious of her crew performing their best. The day we had it scheduled, I also had a 0930 doctor's appointment in the Medical Center. She offered either a 0730 appointment or an evening appointment. I told her that I had to leave my driveway by 0845 in order to get to the doctor's appointment on time. She assured me that my goal posed no problem in her completing the job before that time. She arrived with several men & the job was completed in about 45 minutes.

They have done our lawn. They do good work and we will continue to use them. From time to time they will forget to do something here or there but they always come back to get it taken care of.

Prompt response, good price, professional crew and equipment. I would not hesitate to recommend at all. Very pleased with the work and professionalism.

Overall, I was fine with them mowing the lawn. They did not do well maintaining flowerbeds and ensuring the plants were as discussed.

A friend recommended them and we would certainly recommend them to all our friends. Some of our neighbors were so impressed with the work they did that they had them come to their house to do work.

I made a phone call asking for an estimate, received a call back with the estimate, scheduled the appointment and had the work done within a week. Very efficient and friendly.

We found A & H here on Angie's List and have been very happy with the lawn service she has provided for the last year or so. When we noticed the tree leaning, I went to Angie's List and looked under "Tree Service." I was surprised to find A & H listed there as well. We called and Alex said that her men would be there before the day was over. They arrived and spent three hours taking the tree out piece by piece. In spite of the three men holding the tree away from the house with ropes, the stucco on the house was slightly damaged. I am certain that this damage was much less that we would have incurred if the tree had fallen. I paid A & H more than they asked for, and I will not hesitate to call them again for tree service.

They were very good. I liked the overerall job very much, they were real good to work with. I thought the energey they put into it was impressive, they weren't dragging their feet. They seemed invested in the project. As a military person, sometimes I don't feel like civilians put as much energy and enthusiams into their jobs as we do. I was impressed with them, I thought they were doing a good job and were really trying.

It was pretty good and they did what they were supposed to do. It was finished in one day. It was a pretty simple job. They could have done more on giving us more information on the plants they put in.

Called A & H Lawn service and explained that I would like to have my front yard sodded. Alex from A & H Lawn service made an appointment to come to my house and take measurements of the front yard. Later in the day, Alex emailed the quote for services to me. After reviewing the quote, I emailed Alex and indicated I had accepted the quote and ask Alex when could A & H Lawn service start the job. A & H Lawn service installed the sod on June 17. The install went well with one exception. A & H Lawn did not bring enough sod to complete the install. Apparently there was a miss calculation on how much sod was needed. A & H Lawn service ordered additional sod and returned two days later to finish the job. My original quote was $1,082.87 and I was told that the type of sod that I requested could only be purchased by the pallet as apposed to pieces. So my final amount was $1347.00. This included delivery of 2 pallets of sod, the sod the rental for a tiller, labor to install sod, some soil, delivery fee for the soil and labor to spread soil. Over all I suspect this job was probably cheaper than had I called a commercial lawn service company.

I spoke to the owner of the company, Alex. Explained to her what services I needed. She went out to my house that same day and gave me an estimate of the cost to remove 2 trees from my property. She called me back the same day and gave me cost. She explained to me that she does not have a stump remover but could cut back the tree to the base and the other tree - which was a smaller tree - that tree could be completely removed - roots and all. I get home - the job was done - except the tree that was suppose to be completely removed was not. I had to call her and tell her - she apologized and said she sent the workers out to do the job - yet she failed to follow up and check out the work they did. I told her when the job was done correctly I would pay her. She called me the next day and told me that she was sending her husband out to finish the job and make sure its done right. As an owner of a company - they should always follow up and make sure their workers are competent and should follow up each job that is done. Granted this was a simple job - but money is money and I think if everyone posts any bad experiences they have with a company this would help the next person searching for a company to do a job.

Alex was very prompt and courteous with her estimate, and when it rained the day the crew was supposed to arrive, Alex notified me right away and rescheduled to come the next day. The ground was still pretty wet that morning, but they got it done!

They did just what I asked them to do and I was very pleased.

The service was excellent. They came out on Saturday for the estimate and completed the work on Monday.The work performed was excellent and worth the price. I will be using this company for routine maintenance from now on.

This company came out to give an estimate for laying soil and sod for the front lawn, we spent about 20 minutes discussing the best type of sod for the lawn and went over price estimates. I allowed them a little over a week to reply. I did not receive a follow up call stating time constraints on their part nor a proposal on the estimates we discussed.I never heard from this company again. Anyone that picks this company well, good luck with that.

I called this company because of the great reviews on Angie's List. Whatever the reason for the no show on their part, I give them an overall F as far as my experience with them-a waste of time.

They came to my house minutes after I called them for an estimate. I was looking for a solution to my dog always being covered in mud, from running up and down my fence line. They came up with the idea of making a border of decomposed granite around the fence. The next day, they emalied me a breakdown of all the proposed jobs, with the cost of labor and materials itemized. I agreed to the terms and they started work the next day. The idea has been working perfectly, and I no longer have to give my dog a bath 3 times a day. It was a great experience and I would definitely use them again. I feel that it was a good price but, I really have no reference point.

We needed some extensive yard work performed. Alex was courteous and professional. The estimate for the work was what we expected. They showed up on the date they had promised. Alex called us a couple of days before our set appointment to see if they could work on our yard because they were in our area and was between jobs. Unfortunately, Alex was unable to get a hold of us but we did appreciate the attempt to contact us. We were impressed with the thoroughness of the job and plan to hire them for future work.

Mr. and Mrs. Guerro arrived promptly and spent quite some time with me discussing a bid for lawn maintenance, composting, bed cleanup, mulching and leaf removal (a BIG job in my neighborhood). They were professional and very knowledgeable. Their prices for leaf removal and bed mulching were much higher than the company we ended up going with (also an A-rated AngiesList member), but they were our second choice.

This group was excellent. Extremely responsive and efficient. I contacted them earlier in the week to receive an estimate for yardwork needed to be done for our rental property. They provided the estimate the same day and conducted the work within hours of providing an approval. They worked fast an efficiently and hauled away all the debris. I would highly recommend this group and plan to use them again. Thank you!

I was very happy with them. They were good. They came out every week to do the job. I spent $40 each time they came out. I will use them again in the future.

The job was beautiful! They did an outstanding job on the concrete shelves for my plants.They were creative,and clever. The job got more expensive than orginially planned, but still reasonable for the amount of labor,time and materials. They still maintain my yard at a fair market price and I hope to continue to do business with them indefinitely.

The whole experience was smooth. Alex contacted me right away (after I left a message, I think), and they came out to give an estimate. We scheduled the service for a Saturday. The job was done quickly (from about 8:30 am to 1 pm) and done well by a crew of four men. Alex was there most of the time, except when they were hauling one load away, I think. The two trees were cut down to the ground level. The clean-up was great.
