Mr. Carrisal, the owner of First Rate Construction is both unethical and unprofessional. His construction contracts contain a clause prohibiting people from posting negative reviews, so you are not likely to see the numerous clients unhappy with his shoddy work. I tried working with First Rate but their horrible communication, missed deadlines and substandard contractors made me walk away! This should make you second guess working with this company. BEWARE and consider going elsewhere!

Considering this was our first remodel of such large scale, we had extremely positive overall experience with 1st Rate Remodeling. Luke and the team were diligent, friendly, and punctual. They were open to work with our designs, provided knowledgeable advice and support, and were respectful of our budget. Well gladly work with them on our future remodeling projects.

I have worked with Luke this past year on a total remodel of my mid sixties home. Insulating and dry walling the garage and opening up the living and dinning areas. The work is great the team is great. The come when they say do the work as ask and clean up the sight. Luke is my contractor for life.

They did a very good job on my small kitchen update. My cabinets were painted and turned out better than I expected. New countertops, lighting and sink look great. Iâ m especially pleased with how fast the the project was completed and very fair pricing. I would recommend 1st Rate Construction. They guarantee their work for one year and although I havenâ t had any issues, I feel they would certainly live up to this commitment.

We just finished a major remodel on our 1970s ranch-style house with 1st Rate Construction (removing walls and installing beams, complete gut and rebuild of the kitchen, closing up doorways, and installing new doors). Their work is top-notch and we are very pleased with the outcome. And while it took longer than what James (the estimator) told us, it was worth the wait in the end. Once they got started, the progress they made daily was impressive. As can be expected there were some hiccups and stressors along the way, but Luke and Sam really know what they are doing and made us feel at ease with the whole process. Sam did the lions share of the work and we have decided that there is not anything he does not know how to do. He is fantastic! These really are a good group of guys who do good, quality work. They showed up when they said they would, they were fairly priced, they were respectful in our home, and they were as clean and organized as you can be busting out walls. In short, we are very pleased with our experience. The kitchen is beautiful. Everyone that sees it says it looks like it came from a magazine. We love it, and we are enjoying working in our new space. We would highly recommend 1st Rate to anyone, and we plan to use them again once we have saved up to remodel our bathrooms. Great relationship, trustworthy, though, professional, and personable

1st rate construction really did live up to their name. They were always on the job when they said they would be there and I cannot say enough good things about their quality of workman. Luke was really involved from start to finish to make sure everything was the way I want it. Sammy and Joey were terrific. Countertop install within 3 days, and backsplash within 2 days. And recess lighting with all the patchups, cant even tell my grotesque flourecant box lights were there! Thanks so much

Luke and his entire team at 1st Rate Construction were amazing from day one! My wife and I had to fire a previous contractor for a kitchen remodel in which the other company did absolutely nothing for 3 months. It was a nightmare being without our kitchen and sink. Luke came in and saved us from this horrendous endeavor. The whole process with 1st Rate only took a little over a month, but when 1st Rate actually started work in our home, they were finished in one week. We were blown away by their work ethic, workmanship, and commitment to satisfaction. We LOVE our new kitchen, and cannot be more grateful to Luke and the entire 1st Rate Team! Luke and his team did an amazing job on our patio. They poured a 12' x 38' patio. No cracks so far. They textured and then stained it to perfection. They cleaned up after the job and were extremely pleasant to work with. A definite future hire. You can trust Luke to do what he says he will do for what he says he will do it for. Great quality.

Luke and Sammy are great to work with and very trustworthy. Sammy and his crew work very hard and are extremely skilled. We ran into a couple obstacles, like you do with any major kitchen renovation, and Sammy came up with creative ways to work around them. Would highly recommend and will use again.

Beware their estimates. May be A little longer... no matter how confident they sound.

1st Rate Construction did a great job on our master bathroom remodel. I was very apprehensive with a big project but they did a great job. There was a little miss communication with a window replacement, but Luke took care of it. Nepo was also great.

They try to anticipate details you might worry about; keep work site clean, and are well organized.

I hired 1st Rate Construction to renovate the guest bathroom, and I was very apprehensive (I have heard about the horror stories about contractors in San Antonio). Luke put me at ease, he explained in details what he would do, he advised me about some changes etc. He was very professional and I am very happy to have hired his company. The best compliment: he is going to renovate my 2nd bathroom.

I had them buff down the thin set on my floors and float the entire area where they were going to install Laminate Wood. 1st Rate Construction just finished a large project for us - a complete overhaul of kitchen, dining and two bathrooms.
