CONCEPTS IN CABINETRY

Well the cabinets they made for us look great. But that's really the only positive thing we can say about our experience. We contracted with Concepts in Cabinetry after our Kitchen Designer obtained a quote from them. I paid them 50% of the quote in early April of the cost upfront and requested specifically that they complete their work by the end of May which Barney the owner said wouldn't be a problem. We started our kitchen demo right after Memorial Day (we did a complete kitchen and Laundry room remodel) and right away they began to start hedging on the date. They didn't even start installing the cabinets until 4th of July weekend! To make matters worse they didn't measure correctly and as a result one set of cabinets was too deep and had to be redone. The cabinetry installation didn't get completed until the end of July! Overall I estimate that this caused the entire project to be delayed 6 to 7 weeks. Besides the horrible delays they were extremely hard to work with. Marc (the person we mainly worked with) rarely answered phone calls and would commit to having work done and then no one would show up. This occurred at least 5 or 6 times! It took us until the middle of September to complete all of the final items (wheels installed on the island, class in some of the cabinet doors ,touch-ups, etc). Again, the cabinets looked great but I would hire them unless you don't care how long it takes.
