Everything went well. At times, there were delays due to materials availability and/or getting a particular tradesman out, but Wanda and Carl handled all of that. If something came up and we needed to reach either of them asap, they were always quick to respond. They were pleasant and easy people to work with and we would recommend them; in fact, we did to several of our friends.

They remodeled everything except my cabinets. It was excellent, i thought they were great!! In my opinion I think deserve all A's.

She finished the measurements and discussion and was going to get us an estimate. She initially told us she had several bids due but would have something to us by end of week( from Monday). We had other bids already and really wanted to see what she had to offer. We contacted her on Friday after not getting any feedback and were told she would have the bid Saturday morning. Today is Thursday and never any feedback. We choose another contractor and are happy with his responsiveness so far. If she did not want the job it would have only been courteous to at least tell us. **Update** We did get a bid from this company on Thursday but have moved on at this point. She seemed to have some good ideas but we were ready to get started and could not wait almost a week on her bid when we had 3 more in line.

They made costly errors in both design and measurement. There was, from day one: poor communication/supervision of their subcontractors AND poor communication with the homeowners. Thank goodness, that when the work was ultimately completed - after much gnashing of teeth, the work was NICELY done. The interior cabinetry is magnificent. And the tile,glass and wood work are well done. How did it go? I'm glad it's over.

Not only was Wanda and Carl on point, but they were present with ideas and suggestions that made the whole process go so smoothly. The remodel was a gift to my son and daughter-in-law. I feel that Wanda handled this remodel as if it were her children's home. We are all well pleased. She also helped with exterior work, including painting and a new fence. I cannot praise this company enough. They are certainly consumer friendly and easy to work with. Wish they were in East Texas. If you use Wanda, you will not disappointed. Even with changes in service orders, there were no glitches or disagreements. I felt that she was always looking out for what would work for us. Wonderful contractor.

We did not select Bladsaw however I am confident they would have done an excellent job.

The overall end result was good, but very little of this was due to the management of Bledsaw Construction. The saving grace was due to the efforts of my wife that managed their subcontractors and an excellent tile contractor that was brought in to fix the original installation performed by one of Bledsaw's subcontractors. This project began July 16th, 2013 and right away we started off on the wrong foot because Bledsaw showed up 4-hours late to begin the demo portion of the project. Since they were late very little attention was given to protecting the areas of the bathroom that were not being remodeled and the surrounding hardwood floors throughout the house. As a result of this, the second day they were on-site the hallway hardwood floors were scratched and will need to be repaired. The demo of the bathroom took roughly 2-days and part of this project was to remove the corner mounted garden tub and replace it with a free-standing pedestal tub. During the bidding process all the contractors that bid on the project had complete access to the bathroom and were given the specification sheet for the desired pedestal tub that would need to be installed. It was obvious the in-ground plumbing and drain lines would need to be moved to install the new tub, but evidently Bledsaw missed this and refused to proceed with the project unless a $3,800.00 change order was executed. So basically in week one they showed-up late, damaged the hardwood floor and submitted a $3,800.00 change order. After we executed the $3,800.00 change order they contracted a company to excavate the plumbing in the bathroom and this area is surrounded by cabinets and window blinds that we intended to reuse. Bledsaw provided very thin plastic sheeting to cover the cabinets and did not protect the window blinds at all. As a result, the cabinets received a multitude of chips from flying debris and the window blinds were left absolutely filthy. To add insult to injury while carrying out the excavated concrete a worker slipped on the hardwood floor and caused yet another deep gouge in the floor. The next fiasco involved their tile contractor whom after 3-weeks on the job provided some of the worst installation work we have ever seen. Our concerns were expressed on several occasions to Bledsaw's project manager(Carl) whom assured us that their tile contractor was one of the very best and "knew" what he was doing. It was obvious to us he had no idea what he was doing and instructed the owner of Bledsaw the tile contractor was fired and no longer allowed on our property. This episode resulted in a meeting with Bledsaw's other tile contractor whom confirmed the work was "poor at best" and needed to be completely removed and restarted. My wife and I are still convinced if we would not have fired the original tile contractor Bledsaw would have continued and this project would have ended in litigation. At this point in time we are roughly 4-weeks into this project and except for the plumbing being relocated and the demo being performed we have not moved forward at all. Progress finally resumes when their second tile contractor arrives on-site and to Bledsaw's credit he was excellent and within a week or so the shower and bathroom floor is complete. We were so impressed with his work that we decided to have the master closet tiled to match. We thought this would represent a very small extension of this project because the rest of the bathroom could be completed while we waited on tile, but in reality virtually nothing happened on-site for almost 2-weeks while we waited on the closet tile. We can go on and on about all the other small irritants/mistakes made throughout this project, but in short Bledsaw has trouble with quality control and project management. A relatively simple project took 10-weeks to complete due to multitude of problems and we would not recommend them. This is not to imply the end result was not satisfactory or that Bledsaw did not fix everything that was damaged during this process. However, no one should have to go through this and we firmly believe the only reason the bathroom looks the way that it does is due to our insistence.

We had a couple of meetings initially with the company owner. She did not try to talk us into doing more than we were comfortable doing, unlike other companies we had talked to. After we signed the contract, they started the demo about 10 days later. We had four bathrooms partially renovated. We had a pedestal sink removed from our powder room and a new custom cabinet and new vanity top installed. In the master bath, we had a new tile shower installed, a new floor, a new tile surround on our bathtub, and new vanity tops. We have a very large master bath, so there was a lot of tile involved. While doing the demolition, the toilet lid was dropped and broken. We were given a new American Standard toilet at no cost to us. Upstairs we have two bathrooms. In one we had a new floor and a new vanity top. In the other we had a new bathtub with a new tile surround, a new floor, and new vanity top. Except for the powder room, we did not replace any vanities, but had them all repainted. The workers were pleasant, showed up on time, and did an excellent job. The field manager was very hands-on and always responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this company. The cost was reasonable and the work was done in a professional manner.

Company was very punctual and professional. Had builder grade furnace with bad coil and on my second outside unit in ten years. They installed Lennox systems (16 SEER) inside and out which are compatible and energy efficient. Also got a 10 yr warranty and a tax write off.

This was my dream kitchen that I have been waiting to build for 13 years. My house was built in the 1980's and had not had a remodel since then. I interviewed 3 different companies before I choose Wanda. I am very pleased with everything. My kitchen looks like it should be in a magazine. I have everything I asked for, Wanda was with me the entire process. I didn't expect to spend as much as I did, but I didn't expect to have a kitchen that looks like I live in a million dollar home. I would definitely use Wanda in the future. I do plan to remodel my master bath at some point (when I can save up enough money) ha ha.... She knows all the best places to go and uses the finest cabinet makers. She spares no expense on her end. I could not be any happier. I love my house.

They arrived to start the job right on time.....They ran into some problems with my leaking shower but went right to work and took care of it....The Tile work is just beautiful and the whole Bathroom turned out better than I even imagined. I would use Bledsaw Construction again on my next remodel job.

We were looking to do a couple of different remodeling projects. Wanda immediately responsded to my call and set up an appointment to discuss our project and get measurements for estimates. She was on time and very professional in her visit to us. I am confident she would have done very good work for us, but we decided not to go with her for two reasons. One was that it took about 2 weeks after she mentioned she would get the bid to us before we got it. I ultimately decided to call her (we actually thought that perhaps she had decided not to bid on the projects) to see where the bid was and she mentioned that she was intending to call me that day to let me know why she hadn't gotten to it yet. We did then get the bid and it was very professionally laid out and easy to follow. I did point out a math error on a % charge that was higher than the % stated, but she immediately corrected it. Ultimately, we went with another bidder as Bledsaw was well above the other estimates we recieved. That obvisouly is not a knock on the company's workmanship or quality. If it hadn't of been for the delays in responsivness I would have still given an overall A grade. But that with the combined overall higher price than the other bids, made me have to sway to a B.

They were prompt, able to save me money, professional and reliable.

I am very pleased with the outcome of the renovation. I had pulled together magazine pictures of my "ideal" bathroom and Wanda worked with me to achieve the same look and feel. I am amazed each time I go in at how relaxing and rich it feels! Wanda worked with me to stay within my budget and provided alternatives for keeping my current shower and reusing the parts of the existing countertops and cabinets, all of which were in good condition. The contract was clear and detailed enough I knew exactly what was included and what additional items I chose to purchase on my own. The construction stayed within the timeframe outlined. I enjoyed working with Wanda, her foreman Carl and the various other contractors/suppliers they employed. I was even comfortable enough to go on Christmas break while they continued the construction so it was finished when I returned to Dallas. Wanda sent progress pictures and kept me up to date via email. The remodel also included redoing the floor in my guest bathroom and renovating my pantry shelves. Both these also turned out to be what I had envisioned. The best part is with these two additional items, Wanda's bid still came in lower than the others I had received. I definitely received value for the money I spent.

There were some miscommunication and issues during the work, Wanda and her team resolved all issues to our satisfaction

It turned out very well. They were prompt and always on time. They were pleasant to work with. We were very satisfied with them.

They were wonderful. The job was done on time and I loved the painters that they used. They did a phenomenal job. They were in the home without us being there and were very trustworthy.

I never thought that I would write a negative review, but in this case I have to. I called Wanda and made an appointment for an estimate on April 12 I believe. She called me two days earlier, April 10, and said she was in the area and asked if she could come in that day and do the estimate. I said great. All I needed was a new shower install, possibly some work on a mirror, a pocket door, and some tile on the floor. I discussed with her what I wanted and she said that the estimate would be itemized so that I could choose what I needed based on my budget. All seemed well. As of April 25, two weeks later, she has never called back. This is why I am posting a negative review on this business. In all honesty I could have called her or emailed her to get the estimate, but I feel that if a company really wants the work it is their responsibility to follow up and call back in a timely matter with the estimate. I should not have to be the one chasing them down to see what the price is and when or if the estimate will be done or was done. It really makes me feel that they don't my job, maybe because it is too small and not worth their time. This is just my opinion UPDATE: At 8:30 PM the day after I posted the original review I did receive an estimate for the shower via email from Wanda. Originally we also discussed a pocket door and adding trim to the mirror to spruce it up, but this was not in the estimate. Also we discussed partially removing a wall to open up the shower more. I did not see this detailed in the estimate, but it may have been included as part of something else, I could not tell. I will also state that I do not completely agree with her response to my original review. Our views of considerable time spent in my house differ substantially. Based on the many good reviews of this company I would still recommend to others to give this company a try. My main intent is to share my experience and let others know why I will not use her services.

Performed all work on time and on budget. Did a good job overall including messy dust & cleanup.. Excellent contractor... Bulletin..... COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE PREVIOUS WORK PERFORMED BY BLEDSAW CONSTRUCTION More kudos for Wanda and here crews: I discovered a water stain and leak in my garage area on Monday 1-29-13 and called Wanda as I had no idea whether it was plumbing or roof related.. As she has plumbers, roofers, etc. working with her at all times, I was confidant that she would help me out.. Within a couple of hours, she had a plumber out who went in the attic and determined it was not a plumbing (water) leak. She had her roofing contractor (Louis) call me later that day and he sent out 2 of his guys yesterday 1-30-13 (after the roof had dried) to inspect.. They found a small leak around one of the vents on the roof and repaired it within an hour. This is the level of service that all contractors should provide and I am very appreciative to know Wanda and am happy to recommend her for any job large or small... She rates an A+ with me... We had 3 different companies out to give estimates before deciding to go with Wanda Bledsaw and Bledsaw Construction & Design. All 3 estimates came from companies on Angie's List, but Wanda's estimate was by far the most affordable. The job didn't go without some hiccups, but I am thrilled with the results. The decorative tile around the bathtub and in the shower ordered were not in the correct color, which delayed the job, because the manufacturer had mislabeled the sample board at Home Depot. Wanda fought to get the order replaced in the proper color and prodded Home Depot to get the manufacturer to ship by air. Another hiccup, was that the skylight had to be replaced. It was pitted from hail damage and had a few holes in it, of which we were not aware. I feel that we really got the most bang for our buck by having Bledsaw Construction do the job. I hope to have Bledsaw perform more remodeling at my home in the future.

Overall it was a good experience. The job was complete in the time frame agreed upon in the contract.

They were extremely courteous and professional. They gave us a very good, and detailed estimate.

Contacted company, they came out to jobsite and did a thorough inspection. Also a realistic bid. Kept in touch with us. Was very polite, even when we did not go with the bid. Would definitely work with Wanda again.

Telephoned and left message inquiring about complete kitchen remodel. Received return phone call from Wanda quickly; however, when she found out where I lived, she stated that I was not in a location that she was interested in coming to even though my home is located in Collin County (one of the counties she advertises that her business covers). I am more than happy to take my business to someone who truly wants it. Perhaps this company needs to amend where they are willing to perform remodeling services so that potential customers don't waste their time inquiring.

The most impressive thing about contractor Wanda Bledsaw is her attention to detail. From our initial meeting with her, EVERYTHING was clearly defined and notated within her initial and subsequent bids which made our final decision-making on what work we wanted done much easier. Fact is, we couldn't afford to do everything we wanted - but Wanda made it easy to pick and choose because her bid was so detailed. She was very good at keeping us informed as to what would be happening each day, who would be showing up and what would be completed. When challenges arose (I won't call them problems, because they ALWAYS found a solution!), we discussed the options and were kept in the loop. When we requested changes, we were told what they'd cost, the pros & cons, and could make informed decisions. Oh, and nearly every time I called her, she answered her phone. Yeah, that's a big deal. A notable point is the clear fondness and respect that Wanda's sub-contractors have for her as well. More than one worker told me how much they enjoyed working for Wanda, and it clearly showed in their work ethic and passion for what they did. The total project took about 6 weeks to complete. We are VERY happy with the job Wanda and her crew performed and will be using her again when it comes time to remodel our bathrooms/bedrooms (Phase II, as it's affectionately known)
