I had a very good experience with them. This was the first time I have used their services and I would use them again in the future. I did shop around for the price and they were wonderful with the price. I was kind of worried because it might be you-get-what-you-paid-for type thing, but the quality of the work was super as well.

Excellent! Within 24 hours of calling, I had a new gutter installed. The men were very professional and prompt. I asked for an extra card to give my neighbor. I would absolutely use them again.

Joe Hart came and gave me a quote as promised. Inthat quote he included multiple options that would serve my nome better and also some price reducing ideas. He stayed in toulch wih me during the whole installation via phone, and always caleed if tre was a question or concern he had. He was very honest and professional through out the complete install. He even came back and fixed a downspout I hit with the mower at no charge..

It would be difficult to find fault with Joseph and his company - the whole experience was excellent. When we moved into our house, it had zero gutters installed -- but the previous owners had left some copper gutter and downspout material they had planned to install. Copper being considerably more expensive than aluminum, we intended to use copper for portions of the house requiring that decorative treatment, and aluminum where we felt it made more sense (that may sound odd, but where we used the aluminum, the great color-matching let those gutters just blend in with the house. There's nowhere from which you can see both types at the same time). Joseph worked with us to leverage the copper we already owned, and filled in the parts/pieces necessary to make for a beautiful, functional copper system. The installation of both the copper and the aluminum gutters is virtually flawless; the fit and finish is very professional. He and his team were a pleasure to work with, and Joseph remained flexible even as we made a decision on the day of installation to change types in one area. After seeing the quality work they did on our house, we elected to use them also for new gutter installation on my mother in law's house -- and that too is a very professional installation. Our only complaint might be the time it took to get him under contract to begin the work; we would have liked to get the installation done quite a while (some months) before he was able to do it. Without knowing for certain, I would attribute that to his backlog given the high quality of his work. I would absolutely recommend his company, and will use them again whenever we need related services.

Joe is a nice guy, but I had to chase him down to get him to come out and give me an estimate (initial contact Janaury 2nd ended with him coming out to look in coming days, after no response followed up again January 8th, followed up again January 17th, finally got him to come out to take a look on January 18th), much less do the actual work. When he left he told us he'd get back to us with an estimate, we never heard from him again and I'm finished with the follow ups. I'm beginning to wonder how all these other fine Angie's List reviewers got Joe's attention.

When I first called to request a quote, it took a week or so to hear back from the owner. However, once we got in touch things went very smoothly. The owner came out to inspect the old gutters which sagging in several places. After discussing the options, we decided to install all new gutters rather than try to repair or rehang the old ones. Joseph and his crew were quick, methodical, and very professional. The price was very competitive, and the materials are of high quality. I would definitely use them again should the need arise. My husband and I are thrilled with the quality of our gutters. We have had heavy rainfall several times since the installation and they have held up beautifully with no leaks.

The crew showed up ontime and the work was performed in 1 day. They used screws to retain the siding instead of nails which wind had pulled out. I had some siding panels and foam insulation left over from the initial installation that they used to help me keep my cost down. The work was done well and it still remains even though we've had several serious storms. I'm not only pleased with the company's work, I've called them to do another repair on the other end of the house from tree/storm damage. I will continue to use them as long as they're in business because of the excellent results.

Joe did an excellent job. He was very busy went I decided to get the work done which delayed the work but the wait was worth it. His crew was right on time the day of the work, they confirmed all the work to be done before starting, and we had a walkthrough at the end of the day. His crew was very polite and pleasant to work with. Joe called in the morning to make sure that all was going according to plan and I appreciated his call. The billing process was very easy and the price was very competitive for services performed. I will use Joe again for my next gutter work and I defenitely recommend his services.

I couldn't be more pleased with the job done by Joseph Hart and Apthorp Construction. I was having problems with squirrels gnawing on the frieze boards at the corners of my house. They had nearly destroyed the frieze boards and the bricks were about to come loose. I also had several sagging soffits that I couldn't figure out how to fix because they had separated from the frieze board. At one of the corners I had a rusting metal downspout that provided a platform for the squirrels. In addition, I had a hole cut in a soffit by an animal removal company to provide an exit for an animal that was in my attic. After it was confirmed that the critter had left, I wanted to be sure that all points of entry were sealed. I searched Angie's list and found Joseph Hart and Apthorp Construction. Mr Hart came out promptly and was waiting for me when I returned from work. He looked at the work I needed and gave me a proposal. He offered a creative solution to the problem I was having with sagging soffits on the west side of my house which didn't properly attach to the frieze board. He installed quarter round the length of the house and painted and caulked. He also reattached some soffits that were sagging on the east side of the house. To fix the problem with squirrels chewing on the corners, he fashioned replacement corners out of metal and integrated them with the good frieze board. He also replaced a rotting metal downspout at one of the corners the squirrels were chewing. Finally, to fix the exit hole in the soffit, he installed a new vent cover. It has been several months and I haven't had a problem with squirrels chewing on the corners of my house. Primarily, because instead of some nice tasty wood, they now have some cold hard metal to chew on. I would recommend Joseph Hart and Apthorp Construction to anyone who has a challenging construction problem or issues with animals and wants to seal up all possible points of entry. He will provide a solution to your complex problems and does quality work.

We had a slightly different request for down spout installation and he accommodated our request with no problem. He also repaired siding in the gable end of the home. It looks matches the old siding and looks integrated. The home is in Richardson and he did an excellent job.

I am in the process of refurbishing a 50 year old house in Richardson and I have been dealing with all kinds of contractors. These guys are the best!!! I wish all contractors could be like them. Punctual, professional, competent are just a few words to describe them. They did not try to up-sale me, their bid was not the lowest but I was so impressed with his attitude and demeanor that I am glad I selected him.

Very well. I sent pictures of the new construction with plans; Joseph mailed me a sample set to select color; matched the trim exactly; scheduled a date to do the work which was a couple of weeks out. He called to confirm the day before and arrived punctually; did the work in one day; Great folk.

He was very good. Joseph is the owner and he did an excellent job. He just seemed like a very nice honest person. He was very reasonable compared to the other estimates I got and he did a fantastic job. I would use him again and recommend him too.

He didn't charge us a fortune to do it. It is all completed and we are really happy. They were really good. He is a general contractor but he also works with gutters so that was the reason we called him.

Joseph gave me a fair estimate, showed up to do the work when promised, did a quality job as estimated, and even responded on the spot to my request for additional scope.

Started with a telephone call, resulted in repairman coming to my house to look at the project and give me an estimate. After agreement on the project and cost, repairman scheduled a day the following week to complete the job.

The overall work went on fine. My husband was very pleased with the work. They had to come again because they hadn't done some pieces of guttering and they came in after repeated phone calls. It was not a huge constrain. They were very clean in what they did. They did a great job and I think my husband was happy with what they had charged. The job was fine except the little work that he was supposed to do. They cleaned up everything and I had no issues with that. I was satisfied with them and would recommend them. I would rate him high overall. The quality of work was fine. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Joe was recommended to me by another contractor who recently replaced the siding on my home. Joe was very returned my initial call promptly and provided me with a good estimate and color chips to select the color I wanted to have installed. After additional conversations I decided to add leaf screens to the system and the estimated was updated quickly. Joe kept contact with my siding contractor to set up a time for the installation and got back with me once the siding job was complete to set up an installation time. Joe and his crew arrived promptly and got the new gutter system installed quickly and professionally, despite a windy day gusting into the mid 30 miles per hour. The installation was well done and looks great. Will definitely use him again in the future and recommend to my friends who also need gutter work done.

Excellent!! He showed up when he said he would both for the estimate and the gutter replacement. He was my lowest bid and I went against advice on not taking the lowest bid. I am so glad I did because the work is superior, job site perfectly clean. I would give this job an A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Joseph is very responsive and followed through with everything including showing up on time and completing the work on time. He and his crew were very easy to deal with and communicate with. I was shocked at how much the estimate came in at (in a good way!) and very satisfied with the work. I would recommend them to everyone I know that needs this kind of work done. I sought many bids and felt the most comfortable with Apthorp. The gutters and soffit look great!
