I called Paul on recommendation of very good friends who have used him for years. He was at my house within 20 minutes of the call. He and his assistant, Andre, got to work to diagnose the leak location and determined it was on my main line coming under the house from the meter. Also my bathroom heater had a leak and, upon looking at my hot H20 heater determined I needed something added there that would bring it up to code. I ok'd the work. They went to get the parts, pull the permit from the City of Garland and were finished within three hours. Both guys were very professional, polite and Paul answered my "thousand" questions (I'm a **** like that). I was expecting to be without gas service for a couple of days, so no hot showers, no laundry, no cooking all weekend. I wasn't even down a full day. He even called the inspection department for me and the inspector was at my house within half an hour after Paul left. I will never hire another person for my plumbing needs. He also gave me pricing on a big project I have been wanting to do but thought it was going to be out of my pocketbook reach for awhile. He is great and I promise, once he and Andre do work for you, you will never go anywhere else! Thanks Paul!

I would give him an A all the way around. It was a good price. He would be the only one I'd use again.

selected Mr. Kenney based on recommendation of a neighbor, who had also needed a gas water heater replacement. arranged for a Monday morning arrival and he phoned to announce arrival 20-minutes ahead of time and was on time. After assessing what I had and helping me settle on an appropriate replacement - I already knew what I wanted and his knowledge and experience helped me confirm the decision - he made a quick trip to pick up the new water heater. Mr. Kenney and his assistant quickly removed the old water heater, which was located on a platform in the garage. Installed a new 50-gallon Rheem 12-year 40K BTU natural gas water heater with new supply lines, new pressure relief valve, new lever ball shutoff valve (the old knobbed gate valve failed the only time I tried to use it), aluminum drip pan with PVC valve. (A note on attention to detail: he also installed PVC pipe and elbows to drain the drip pan valve off of the water heater platform to the sloped garage floor - future leaks will flow to driveway and not into the house). Mr. Kenney was personable and efficient - this was pretty much a direct replacement - and advised me how to cautiously adjust the temperature of the water. Charges were for the water heater, a flat rate for the installation and the cost of extra parts.
Description of Work: replaced 50-gallon gas water heater; installed drip pan and replaced failed shutoff with a levered type

I wasn’t there when he did the job; he did it on the outside first and he came back the next day. I was glad to get out when I did because it was overflowing outside in the lawn because there is a drain out there, so I didn’t know what I was going to get into there. He is pretty good. He is very professional. I have used him two or three times before. He usually charges $100 to come out unless it’s a major deal that takes him a really long time to fix anything. One time I think I bought a commode from him, and that was $100; it was pretty decent. His pricing is reasonable. He gives me a general idea of when he is coming, but he made it. It takes him a day to come out when I call, but he comes out. He came the next day after I called; he came out at 6 o’clock on the next night.
Description of Work: Description: I have used Paul W. Kenney for some plumbing work in my house. I last used him when my granddaughter put in about 16 can-packs and that had stopped up my toilet.

Had one dripping bathtub faucet. Wanted all bathtup/shower in two bathrooms replaced. He didn't use plumber's tape - he used these little plastic shields. We wanted the whole assembly replaced and he just wanted to do the handles, saying the other would leak in ten years. After installation, one handheld shower was installed upside down and wouldn't work - my husband fixed it. 2 months later, both bathtub faucets dripped, including one that hadn't dripped before. He also rescheduled on us and was late.
Description of Work: Changed out faucets and spout, and showerhead in two bathrooms.
