+ 0 moreBadly. North Texas Fence and Deck as the only company of 6-8 I contacted for this custom railing job which responded and they were slow, I had to email them several times. I furnished a detailed spec. Chris Owens on the spot gave me an estimate. I gave him a check for half. I should have stopped payment and started over when a check cashing service called to verify the check was good. I visited his shop (in a residential garage) several times, he seemed to know what he was doing but made several missteps. He installed it and when he said he was finished I inspected it. Driving up to the house you could see the railing was misaligned. It was also not laid out per the specs. He corrected the railing, but overall the workmanship was not good (rough welds, etc.) I paid him the balance. The next day when I went back to review the work a weld was broken (it was just jammed in place) and he had spilled paint on a porch. I called and left messages. The phone was disconnected.
Description of Work: Fabricated and installed a welded metal railing along a sidewalk.
