Wow. Chris was an absolute gem from the moment he answered the phone. Super responsive. I am a first time home owner and have had estimates given to me ranging from $3,000-$15,000 and he just spent almost 2 hours in my house & crawl space and showed me very detailed measurements that he took and said I did not need any work done. I explained what the other guys were wanting to do and he perfectly explained to me WHY that didn’t need to be done and that it was it would be ok. He said some areas weren’t perfect that was previously worked on but said it would still be fine. He could’ve easily said the same thing the other guys said but he was honest. I insisted giving him some money as his free estimate saved me thousands of dollars but he would not take it. He has no clue how much of a blessing this was all to hear as it’s been a stress thinking I might possibly need $15,000 worth of work done. Chris. Thank you. Wish all contractors were like you.

Cathy at Fortress is amazing. Their customer service is unmatched. We had 6 companies come out and look at our house. Several had different reports of how many piers we needed. We hired an engineer and found out we needed 28 new piers and 14 existing piers that needed to be adjusted. Cathy came and explained what was needed, what was happening with our foundation and how they would go about repairing it and answered all of our questions. She was friendly, thorough, and honest. I reached out many times before the work was scheduled and asked many more follow up questions and she would respond promptly. What sets them apart from all the other foundation companies in the area: Excellent customer service and communication Lifetime warranty that stays with the house and not the owner which would involve transfer fees While they didn't adjust our existing piers done by another company (it was determined that it was not possible/not necessarily needed at this time), if they had, they would have taken over and included those in the lifetime warranty - this was a huge perk which no one else does that we were able to find. We wanted to make sure we don't have future foundation problems, so they not only put in 28 steel piers, they tied in all of our 8 downspouts underground to make sure we never have drainage issues. As the work was coming to an end, the new piers lifted our garage about 6+ inches above the sinking, cracked driveway. So we hired them to give us a new concrete driveway and it is beautiful! They were able to squeeze that in right at the end of the other work. Cathy, Victor and the crew were all fantastic. Always on time, always cleaning up after the day's work. Cathy and Victor would explain where we were at and what to expect next each day. I can't say enough good things about this company and their team. Hire Fortress Foundation, you will be glad you did!

He recommended us to hire an engineer to see if our home required any foundation correction. Once we get engineers report then we can call them back for a quote.

My job had to be rescheduled several times due to a crazy couple of weeks of weather. Cathy was great about keeping me in the loop and working with our schedule. The guys even came out on a weekend to do the job, although they ended up having to come back because they ran out of materials, because the piers went deeper than they thought they would. They came out and installed the rest of the piers in half a day the next week. Overall I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently they worked and how well they returned everything to its prior condition. I had a follow up inspection done by my structural engineer and he approved everything with no problems and said everything was done to his exact specifications. I recommend these guys to anyone.

Originally called to get a second opinion on the slab foundation failing. Some previous foundation work was done several years prior to purchasing the house, which was still under warranty, but didn't trust the company since it took months to get an appointment just to get someone to come out. Called Dan and Cathy to get an estimate, and Dan was very prompt in getting out to inspect the property. He took elevation measurements gave us an idea of what we were looking at and then to my pleasant surprise suggesting getting a structural engineer to come out and get a professional report as to what needed to be done. (Note to other homeowners: No matter which company you choose - hopefully AFS - I strongly recommend getting an engineer to come out and look at the house. They can determine exactly where the piers need to be placed and how many are required to fix the problem) After the engineering report was received, AFS provided an estimate and the work was scheduled. They were very prompt, professional, and left everything immaculate. They were even able to dig under the house to place the interior piers instead of having to cut through the slab from inside - yay!! Fantastic work by Dan and his crew, and Cathy was phenomenal in coordinating everything. I highly recommend them!

Every aspect of the job from initial estimate and work though completion and cleanup was first rate. ? This contractor is very experienced, knowledgeable, and reliable - a rare thing these days. ? They don't try to sell you on more work than you need and they stand by it. ? Price was very reasonable with no surprises. ? They are very punctual and the job site was cleaned up very well. Most people, including myself, don't know as much about foundation repair as they do about other home repairs such as roofing and plumbing. Consequently they make the mistake of calling one of the high profile contractors because they are perceived as less risky. They must be since they advertise on TV, right? In fact, the "big boys" tend to have more issues with their work than smaller independents. They cannot possibly maintain a consistently high skill level across all of the crews they field. Also, the big name contractors are way more expensive. All of that advertising and other overhead is passed on the to consumer. The key is finding a competent and trustworthy independent. I've just saved you the trouble. AFS will perform the work just as good or better and at a cheaper price.

AFS was very professional and prompt. I sent over email late at night and the very next morning, I had response and appointment scheduled. Dan was very professional on site and was very informative on pier beam foundation. Cathy then followed up after appointment, to make sure we were satisfied and if we needed anything else. These types of companies are far and few theses days! If you are looking for a foundation company, look no further.

AFS Texas was very professional. They performed the job in a timely manner and were very honest with us. Cathy was also helpful when we made our appointment. She worked around our schedule and was flexible. I would highly recommend AFS Texas.

into placeOn the day of the work Dan and his group showed up to start and began digging around the house and breaking out concrete where they would need to be inside to support the whole house. I watched the piers placed to a depth of 10 feet before the 10,000 PSI was reached. Once all piers were set the bottle jacks were placed and the house was raised and the final top was set and shimmed in to place. The holes were refilled the excess dirt was placed where I asked for it to be placed. The clean up was done and the house looked nice.

We bought our home in May 2013. We had it inspected and all appeared to be acceptable. By October we were noticing doors were not closing and cracks in the walls at the windows and corners. Found AFS on Angie's List and it was the best thing that I've done this year. Spoke Kathy in the office, she directed me straight to a structural engineer, Scott Davis, who came right out, diagnosed the problem and got the results to Dan at AFS. Kathy, bless her, found us an opening in their schedule so Dan and the crew were here the very next week. Dan, Bill the supervisor, and the crew were on time, worked safely and very competently, and offered very professional advice. They were very courteous and explained things to my satisfaction as the job progressed. They didn't my curiosity endless questions. At first we were going to be doing 16 exterior piers but half way through the work Dan and Bill showed me there were some issues with the other half of the house that had been done by the previous owner in 2010. 12 new piers were added and Dan was gracious to discount some the cost. In total the job only took 2 days, approx. 20 piers were put in, landscaping was returned to pre-work condition, everything was cleaned up and I was most pleasingly impressed. The price was fair and reasonable and well worth it. I will have the engineer set a base line for leveling purposes in January and will have it checked every six to nine months so Dan and his crew can keep my house stable and level and avoid the need for any more major repairs. You can't do any better than these folks. I hold them in my highest regard and would never consider anyone else and recommend them highly. They have earned my respect though their professionalism and competency. Well done Dan.

Dan was present for the entire repair. He had me watch as they lifted the foundation and then had me go inside and look at the levels to verify that the foundation was indeed level. Dan was careful and took the raising of the foundation in small increments to insure no damage to the house structural integrity occurred. They actually left my flower beds better than they were before the repairs! Just an aside, my dog (Remi, a Shiba Inu) took right up with Dan and Remi doesn't take to many people except me. That spoke volumes about Dan's character to me. I would recommend AFS to anyone and I have already recommended AFS to friends who are needing work done. Job well done- Thanks Dan!

It went great. Dan and his crew worked through out the day with no interruptions or problems. The customer service and workmanship I received in getting my foundation repaired was A++++. I highly recommend this company for any foundation issues.

AFS Texas did an amazing job from start to finish. We had an emergency foundation issue come up that needed to be fixed before we could close on our home. Kathy walked us step by step through the process. Dan the owner came out and took measurements and also gave a thorough explanation of how the work was to be done. This company goes above and beyond and has exceptional customer service not to mention an amazing crew. Justin and the crew arrived early. Throughout the day he would walk us through the process. When it came time to lift the house Dan was on site to do the actual lift. When the job was complete they took care of our landscaping, put new mulch down, and even made sure our sprinkler system was in working order. I highly recommend this company. They really take pride in the job they do and it shows. I give them an A+++

I contacted AFS on a Wednesday and scheduled the owner Dan to come out and give us an estimate on the following Saturday. Dan showed up on time and inspected the house inside and out an took measurements First, let me say is was a refreshing surprise to meet a contractor who didn't try to hit me with a hard sell. He came in, quickly determined the issue and came up with a plan to solve it. I my case it meant piers put in along the perimeter of my house. After my wife an I talked to him for a bit and reviewing his previous reviews on Angie's List we signed a contract for him to do the repairs on the following weekend starting Saturday morning at 8:30. Dan and his crew were on time and were working within minutes. These guys really work hard! By the end of the first day I have to say I was pretty nervous. If you have never had this done, it looks pretty daunting. Huge piles of dirt on tarps, banging, creaking, etc. I was reassured this was all normal and by the end of the day Sunday, everything would be back in shape. Sunday the crew showed up promptly at 8:00 and got back to work. Dan showed up shortly and leveled the back of the house. About noon, things started looking better and holes started getting filled, concrete fixed. The crew also had some extra dirt that I had placed in my yard for a garden we are starting next year. By 4:00 the front was leveled and and that side started getting cleaned up and back to normal. The cracks in the walls were now back to normal! By 6:00 the the yard was cleaned and raked, cracked mortar repaired, concreted holes patched and smoothed out and plants put back in the ground. You could barely tell they had been there. It was pretty amazing and went just as Dan had said. From start to finish, I could not be happier. Great people to work with and no hard sell, just a guy who did what he said he would. I'll post pictures later when time allows.

Like I told Dan, I was so thankful that I went with his company. I had done all my homework checking out several different companies and getting their estimates. Dan went far beyond what I expected. He kept his word on every part of the process. He even had to add a couple more piers that were not included on the original estimate and did not charge extra for them. That kind of business practice is rare to find these days. I also worked with Cathy Hood for taking care of the paperwork out of their office. She was a pleasure to work with and if I had any questions, she was there to assist me. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend AFS-All Coast Foundation Services-to anyone wanting to get their foundation repaired properly at a more than fair price for the professional job and work that they do.

I interviewed 4 or 5 foundation companies before I decided to go with AFS Foundations. I am so glad I chose them. They performed the work quickly and professionally. Dan, the owner, was at my house supervising the crew constantly to ensure everything went smoothly. I was amazed as the cracks in my house closed up right before my eyes!! Dan's follow up was equally impressive. He came back by a few days later to see how everything looked because it had rained....Totally unexpected and really appreciated. Additionally, he followed up to make sure the final permit was handled (which, by the way, was something I was supposed to do, but hadn't gotten around to doing yet.) My house is back to normal again thanks to AFS and I can't say enough good things about these guys!!

A good portion of my house was sinking on one side and was causing cracked tiles, cracked walls, and a front door that wouldn't open or shut well. Dan from AFS came over and assessed the problem and discovered that my house was apparently "sliding down hill" on side/corner of the house (I have a corner lot that is on a hill). He took measurements and explained what was causing the problem and how to remedy it. He was excellent in communicating all of the steps involved and made sure that all of my questions were answered. I found him to be thorough and honest in his assessment and proposal for the work to be done. He certainly could have over-sold me and added more piers than necessary, but he was trying to work with my budget and be cost-effective without compromising the quality and requirements for the job. He was able to schedule the work to be done within one week of the estimate and told me that the job could be complete in one day. On the day of the work, he and his crew arrived promptly at the scheduled time and he again reviewed what was going to take place along with milestone times/events (such as when things would be dug up, when he would need access to the inside of the home, and when and how everything would be put back in place). Amazingly, the job went exactly as he described. I had a scary mess of dirt and holes dug up around my house in the morning and by the time they left, everything looked even better than how they had found it. My landscaping was all put back in place and had an added bonus of mulch that he put down to fill in some gaps that I had. Dan has a very professional demeanor and clearly takes pride in his work. Dan and AFS should take pride in their work because it is deserving!

Dan came out to first give us an estimate and we were very impressed. After the estimate we scheduled a day to complete the work. He was out on time and again explained what they would be doing. We felt he was very honest about everything. They were there all day and cleaned everything up. It didn't even look like we had foundation repair they did such a good job putting our landscaping back together.

I met Dan while he was doing some foundation repair on my neighbor's house. He explained to me everything he was doing and why I was really impressed with his vast knowledge. I started asking him about my house, he explained the whole process. First step get an engineer's report but went the extra mile and referred me to 3 companies that he was aware of that would work in my area. I got the engineers report, 21 piers required for half my house. Called Dan he also got the report told me easy one day job, of course I was skeptical about that, to call Cathy as she schedule's all the work. Cathy is exceptional in her own right, together with Dan they make an extraordinary team and caring company with principles and ethics. They care more about a job well done then trying to get your hard earned dollars. We arranged for a date and time for the work to be completed and of course payment to be made. The day of service Dan marked out where the pillars were to be located in accordance with the engineer's report as I walked around I noticed he marked 23 spots not 21, of course to me this means more dollars so I asked Dan about it and he informed me that since his company is responsible for warranty better safe than sorry and it would be no additional cost to me, 2 free pillars what company does that! They had all the holes dug before lunch, shrubs and plants carefully removed so as to not get damaged. I was shocked have you ever tried to digs holes in this East Texas Clay? After lunch, time to raise the house. While raising Dan personally checks each and every door and window to ensure proper function, as well as making sure the floors are leveled amazing to watch the cracks disappear, how many company owner's do you know that actually get involved hands on with work? Awesome! They get the house leveled, shimmed to perfection fill in all the holes replace all the shrubs and plants, cleanup all the debris impossible to tell they were here and it's not even 4, Job Complete and well done!

When we were about to give up finding a foundation repair company that could do a really big job for an amount we could afford, our realtor suggested we call AFS. The owner came out right away, and after we got the engineer's report, the job was scheduled promptly. During the job, the owner was available to answer every question, and willing to share so much information. I felt like I understood what was going on. He explained every step of the operation, and took care to make sure that everything was done correctly. This company went the extra mile- they actually put in a few extra piers for free when they discovered they were needed in the middle of the job! Afterwards, everything was done professionally- tarps were laid out, shrubs were saved and replaced, and they finished on time. After they left, we found that our doors and windows worked perfectly, and our cracks had closed. We couldn't have been more pleased, and highly recommend AFS.

The owner is Dan Toth. They are very personable, very professional and they took very good care of my shrubs and plants. They just took a lot of extra care as I live in an older home and they just did a fabulous job. They had to lift one part of my house 5”and shim it. They did all of that without cracking my floors or my tiles which I was thrilled. They are very conscientious about calling and following up. The owner’s girlfriend Cathy is just fabulous. They are very expedient, careful and honest. Their price was very reasonable because I called several people and they were pretty much right on the money with everyone else. They were recommended to me by one of my friends. I would refer them to everyone.
