Complete Overhead Door

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out very good. He was very good. He charged me more, because there was more involved with that. It had been frozen for a long long time and the door was sagging and it was because the rollers were made out of rubber. He replaced all the rollers with ball bearing ones, so that was an extra expense. He charged me $600 for the work he did, which he did a lot of work. He did a very good job. He was right there. He fixed it just right away. It was very nice and I would call him again. The price was normal. The quality of service was excellent. He was there whenever he told me he would be. He was very professional. He was very good, since I had never had one of those, he explained how to use it and explained somethings about it that I was not aware of.

John came out on a Sunday and was able to replace 2 springs, he was great to work with and very knowledgeable, I'd highly recommend John and Complete Overhead Door

They were very responsive when I called. They could have come out the next morning, but that wasn't good for me. They came on Monday during the designated time frame. The double door was fixed that day. Since the single door needed a new motor, he had to come back the next day, but again, he showed up during the designated time frame. Very knowledgeable and quick. The doors work great now and are so much quieter than they were. The first time I pushed the button, I didn't think the door was going up because the awful noise it used to make was gone. I had to look to see the door going up.Nice!

I took advantage of a special that was offered via Angie's list for a new garage door opener at a discounted rate. I was sent a confirmation e-mail later that day for a date and time the tech would arrive. The tech John, was on time and very professional. He explained what he was going to do and made recommendations on how to improve the life expectation of the garage door and opener. He worked relatively fast and cleaned up well. Overall it was a good experience and would use them again.

We had purchased a big deal for the service. They were not able to do what was needed to be done, because I have a different kind of a garage door opener, and it wasn't compatible with their equipment. But they did whatever they could, and they refunded me the difference in the cost.

It all went well. I LOVE my new garage door entry keypad. The only complaint I have with this service call, is that they did not clean up after they were finished. There was debris from where holes had been drilled into the walls and frame. But overall their quality was top notch.

Came on time. Very helpful for future repairs. Left no mess. Worked efficiently.

I am a landlord and we had a gargage door at one of our rental house that was not working properly. We called Complete Overhead Door and they got the job done for us in a timely manner! We gave them the renters phone number and they contacted them and made an appointment with the renters as to what time would work best for our renters. They were very professional and we will use them again!

My double garage door that's original to my house from 1985 was in horrible condition and and had become inoperable - it was crooked, off the rail on one side and my car was trapped in the garage. It looked as if someone had tried to pry up one side and it was so crooked that a person could have scooted under one side of it! Before it had become that bad it was working ok but sometimes it would open and other times not - it would get stuck mid-way then I'd have to lower it again. I bought their special on Angie's List for $99 for a garage door tune-up with new rollers and keypad for my single garage door. I planned to ask the tech when he came out about my other door repair. My other garage door is newer and doesn't have any problems. David came out when I was next available and quickly determined that the spring was bad and putting en extra 50lb load on the openers load or something like that. He got that replaced quickly and applied 3 horizontal reinforcement bars along the door so as to keep it more stable and less likely to torque/twist. He had to come back the next day with the rest of the materials because I hadn't discussed the other door over the phone since it was so complicated to describe. I was pleased with the result and was happy that he applied the $99 that I paid for the aforementioned work towards this job. So in the end I didn't get unnecessary work done to the other garage door and the double door is working perfectly now! Honestly I didn't do alot of comparison shopping so am not sure about the competivness of the price

The framing was completed "adequately" at best The door did not close completely. There was about a 2" gap on one side I was told a rubber stop could be added for an additional $200.00. As we had originally discussed the existing structure needed framing to make it fit correctly I felt this should have been part of the original quote in which the extra costs were included . I called Complete Overhead Door to speak to a manager. He told me he "could not afford to lose money" on the job by installing the needed part without charging me. I told him that I did not want to be unfair, however, they were the experts, they had inspected the structure and had given me a price which we had both signed off on. Therefore it was their responsibility to make the door fit correctly.He then said he would charge only "cost" of the part ($80.00) I told him I would consider that, but also consider doing nothing and posting a sign stating Complete Overhead Door above the crooked door. He called later to tell me the owner of the co. agreed to install the needed part at no charge. on another note: the door installed was not the brand we had agreed upon. I questioned the installer who insisted it was a "better" door. I asked if it was 24 gauge; he ASSURED me it was. The lift seemed to "labor" and was also very noisy. It did not seem to be a high quality door or lift. I checked the serial # of the door and looked up the specs on the Texas building permit website. It was listed as a 25 gauge steel door. To be certain I then called the company that manufactures the door. I spoke with the technical division and provided them with the door's serial #. I was told it was a 25 gauge door, had always been a 25 gauge door and given the serial #s of their 24 gauge doors. I then called Complete Overhead Doors and spoke again with the manager. I asked him why a door other than the one we had agreed upon had been installed. He too said it was a superior 24 gauge steel door. I then told him I knew it was not ( explained my research). He tried to insist it was, finally said his supplier had mislead him. He offered to replace the door. At this point I found it hard to trust anything he said. The door's manufacture name and serial # were both on the door. Is it feasible that both the (I was assured ) "experienced" installer" and manager be mistaken about the steel gauge of a door they both claimed to know to be high quality? At this point I needed emergency eye surgery so was unavailable for 2-3 days. The manager of COD to his credit did call several times to offer to make things right and I was not able to return his calls. I had been adamant about my need for a 24 gauge door as our former 25 gauge door buckled. We have a wide 2 car garage. I don't know if the wrong door had been intentionally installed, but had lost faith in the company. Complete Overhead Door removed the door and lift. I paid for the framing they had done. Welborn Garage Doors came to my rescue; installed a high quality door and lift that fits and lifts smoothly and quietly. I would definitely recommend their company.

I purchased the Garage Door Tune-up for my son's house. The service man showed up on time, worked on unit and got all working. Not able to repair one of the hinges due to the fact the garage door was a builder's grade cheap door. Suggested replacing rollers. After all was said and done, happy with work.

These guys went above and beyond. I was absolutely blown away by their responsiveness. Someone answered the phone after just a few rings. I called at 12:32 pm because my garage door had bent in on itself and wouldn't open or close. The guy that answered asked if I would like them to come out today, and I said yes. He said he could have someone there between 1:00 and 3:00 (that's only 30 minutes!) Within ten minutes a technician called and said he received the work request email, and gave me an approximate time he would be there - about 1:45. He arrived at 1:45 on the dot and explained what he thought the problem was and what he expected it would cost to fix it. He was friendly and helpful. Initially I was taken aback by the cost (I have never had a garage before, much less had to deal with replacing anything on it), but agreed to have him do the work - I can't just leave the garage door open forever. In a little over an hour, he had completed the work. He honored my 10% off Angie's List coupon, and even gave me an extra $50 off coupon he had in his car. Almost everything he replaced has a lifetime warranty, or 7-10 years. Overall I am very happy with the service and would highly recommend this company.

I contacted Complete Overhead Door because our 3 1/2 year old garage door opener had stopped working. John came to the house to check on the opener. He "tuned up" our garage door and reset the opener, which caused it to work. Sadly, it only worked for 2 complete uses (2 ups and 2 downs). I called the company to explain what happened and they sent John back out that same day. He determined that the board inside the opener had been affected by all of the power surges/outages we have here. He ordered a board and told me he would be back the next day, which he was. Unfortunately, it was not the board, either. At this point, I decided to have a new opener installed. John ordered the opener and promised to be back out the next day. He was on the highway stuck at the river bridges for hours, due to an 18 wheeler's accident & fire. I was kept informed of his status at regular intervals, but it reached a time when I had to leave so I called John to let him know that I had to go and would reschedule. He offered to come out the next morning (Saturday) to install the opener for me. I can't say enough good things about this company and their commitment to customer service. Not to mention their prices, which are very reasonable. When the time comes to replace our garage door, Complete Overhead Door will get a call. Needless to say, we will gladly refer anyone we know to them. Thank you!

My experience with Complete Overhead Door went okay. He didn't stay very long.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went great. They did a very good job. They scheduled very quickly and they came out on time. I had to something else once they were out here because they found out there was something else wrong with my garage door. I bought the garage door opener and a new spring. The installation came with the deal. I think the price could have been a little bit less expensive.

The gentleman showed up and wanted everything removed from the driveway for in my opinion his convenience. I thought that was odd. Only 1 car in the drive but I thought okay I'll go along. Then he showed up and was dirty and greasy even his clothes I would most likely wear for yard work. He looked around, put a little grease on my opener and then proceeded to tell me how he thought the door and opener might last until the end of the week if I was lucky. Everything was just too old to work with and if it were him he'd just replace it all. He gave me a 1000.00 plus estimate and I just shut up because I just wanted this to be over. The grease he put on my opener is still falling out on the floor and has even gotten on my car when I put it in the garage. I realize that my door is old, etc. but this sales tactic only works if you are great salesman. The only thing I paid 30.00 for was the grease I guess. Not professional at all and not the way I would want my business portrayed. I am not sure but I think the job was subcontracted out because I got a call before arrival from a ladies personal cellphone and I usually don't answer the phone for people I don't know, so just lucky I guess I took the call. I see from the reviews that this may be an odd situation but that's what happened

Went very well. Made good recommendations without overselling. We purchased the house 2 years ago, and recently had started having some issues with the door. Found out some of the parts were worn and needed replacing. He pointed out other issues that we might have in the future, but only recommended replacing parts that were obviously causing the problems now. We already had a keypad (which was part of the Angie's List deal), so he added some extra services instead - like programming the buttons in 2 of our cars, reprogramming the keypad, and discounting a portion of the work to compensate. I will definitely call them again.

Very well. The Staff of Complete Overhead Doors were very courteous and professional. I called them around 2p July 3rd, thinking it would be after the holiday weekend before I could get my garage door working. They promised to have someone come out that afternoon, but as all of their service guys were on calls, they would call me to confirm their ETA. David, my technician, called twice, once to give me an ETA, and then again, when his other job was running longer than expected. I really appreciated being updated on his ETA. David assessed the problem, told me the probable causes, provided me with several options, briefly returned to the Office to pick up the supplies he needed, and returned that evening. My garage door was up and running by 7p. Kudos to Complete Overhead Doors for doing such a great job!

They showed up within 25 minutes of calling them. They looked at the problem and gave me a quote. Within 10 minutes they gave me a quote and started the work. 30 minutes later my garage door was working as good as new. I will use again if needed.

Fast efficient and painless.

They came on time and were friendly and helpful, gave us the whole run down on how things worked. I would reccomend them to others. I was really happy with their service.

So either garage doors are really expensive or I paid too much, but regardless, I was really pleased with the service. Jackie is a gem, they should give him a raise. He was training a new guy and both were extremely professional. Great experience overall. The salesperson didn't 'over call.' If I called him, he called back, but only once. I like that a lot. This company showed more interest in my business than other companies.

Fast, courteous and even though my garage door type was different, because I used them a few months ago for a tune up they did not charge me more. I am so pleased and highly recommend them.

Tech was not on time but he did call and let me know he would be late. He explained a lot to me. It was a good service. Would use in future.

John went way beyond the call of duty. My existing wiring did not work with the new opener, an electrician is required. However, John wanted to make it work temporarily and made TWO TRIPS to a nearby Lowes to buy items to make that happen, He refused a tip stating his goal was to help me out. I did call after the install to checkout the behavior of the seals, John responded the same day of my call. Highly recommend this company with extra praise for John. He continues to work with me to address a rain leak under one garage door.
