I had attempted to auger out a slow draining toilet myself with no success. (I had been successful in the past.) David Butler of Bulter Plumbing "augered" and "plunged" the toilet/drain. The job took less than 30 minutes. He also adjusted the flow rate and water level in the toilet. He was very prompt (here within 4 hours of my initial call). He was very professional and made several suggestions for future plumbing needs.

I was a little apprehensive when they would not quote a price on the phone without seeing the job. Most small plumbing jobs I try to do myself. After reading horror stories on this type of job I decided to try them anyway as the result of their ratings on the list.They were very punctual and professional, in fact they called earlier than expected to see if I was home from work yet. They explained the complexity of the job after they arrived and performed the work in a timely manner. As far as pricing I cannot comment since this is the first time I have contracted a professional plumber. All I know is by watching that I would have had to buy the replacement part, an additional $100 tool and get a spare set of helping hands to do the job myself, took them both to remove the old silcock and install the new one. Overall I am satisfied and will probably use them again if necessary.

The pipe burst in our rental home during the big freeze here in Dallas before the Super Bowl. Butler made the time, even though they were full, to come out. His people were super professional, friendly, and consiensious. Will not hesitate to use them again.

My husband called and set a date for them to come, I was concerned because I had a chemo appointment that afternoon. The young men arrived exactly on time, worked quickly and efficeintly found thre leak and repaired it...all within 2 hours. the price was just what they quoted except they gave me a 10% discount because of my illness.. Great company, I think we have finally found our plumber.

We found a water leak in the garage/opposite the wall where washing machine is located in the laundry room. We called on the weekend and our call was returned promptly. We explained what the problem was and that it could most likely wait until Monday. They said they would have someone call Monday morning at 8am. They did and said they would be there shortly, and they were here in 20 minutes! The servicer ran the washer and could not detect a leak. He checked several other lines in the house (toilets upstairs, etc.) and still could not find anything. He then ran a snake with camera into the line and found a clog of caked powdered detergent. Cleared it and told us to start using liquid detergent. Excellent service in every way, we will be calling Butler Plumbing from now on!

They were able to find the problem and temporarily fix it. The problem came back. There was more to the problem than they initially thought. They came back for the second time and told me that I needed work done on my main drain. We have not had the work on the drain done yet.

Our experience with Butler's Plumbing was an excellent one from start to finish. We had had trouble with our walk-in tub from the time of installation 2 years ago, the frustrating saga of which is too long to relay here. Bottom Line : the tub leaked from day one. The "lifetime warranty" on it was a joke. David Butler, the owner of Butler's Plumbing, diagnosed the origin of the leak to be in the door. He went above and beyond for us to try to get the manufacturer to honor the "lifetime warranty" and replace the door. He was completely stonewalled by the company. Finally, he fixed the leak himself without any recompense from the manufacturer, and he did not charge us anything except the cost of the original service and trouble isolation charge. I have only the highest praise for Butler's professional handling of our problem. Call them !

We were happy with the professionalism of the company. They showed up on time. The office called before they arrived to tell us they were on the way. There was a minor problem with one sink that they returned the following day to fix at no additional charge. The cost is presented up front and includes parts & labor and does not change as the job progresses which we have experienced with other plumbers.

Had a water line break in the front yard causing flooding in neighbor's driveway until we got the water turned off. Called Butler first thing the next morning and he had a crew here by 8am...they had the leak fixed and the mess from the digging, etc..cleaned up by about 9:30..what a great company to do business with. Hopefully I wont have any more plumbing problems, but if I do, I will be calling this company again. I am very pleased with the treatment we got from everyone we dealt with.

Left a message, and was called back right away. The earliest same day time available was between 3-5 pm, so I took that. The company called me back later to say that a crew had just finished in Rockwall and was on the way to my house early. Crew arrived, Pedro explained the fixed rate charges to expect, performed the work expertly and professionally in less than an hour. The crew had to remove the water meter box in order to get to the broken pipe. Pedro said the bad plastic water line was called "quest" pipe, a type that builders used in the nineties, and which was outlawed after several lawsuits. He installed a new, better pipe, reinstalled the meter box, and left the yard looking perfect. I don't particularly like their pricing concept, where a fixed rate is charged for a list of repairs, plus the service call fee is added to that. I did like, however, their willingness to accept a $25 Angie's List coupon and that I was given a 10% senior discount (which paid for the service call fee).

With Butler Plumbing, you won't get an estimate until they show up. And they charge you $45 dollars for showing up. They tell you the price when they arrive, but if you don't like it, you're out the $45. And in my case, it was the end of the day before they could get to my house, so getting another plumber out same day was no longer possible. Since I was in a bind, I went ahead and had Butler do the work. This is a simple repair which took the plumber less than 1 hour. Parts for this repair are around $20. I knew Butler was expensive, but their quote of $288 dollars was well beyond what I expected (I was able to use an internet coupon to lower the price to $263). I even talked with the owner, David Butler, trying to negotiate a more reasonable price. I informed Mr. Butler that I wouldn't be using his company again in the future unless he charged me a more reasonable price, but he refused to budge. I will say that the workers are very professional, and the work was done to my satisfaction. But the pricing model used by Butler cost me 2-3 times as much as I would have paid going with a by-the-hour plumber at $100/hour.

Employee was very informative. He explained everything he was doing each step of the way. Definitely knew what he was talking about. The company was sensitive to the fact I had to turn the water main off and had no running water so visit was scheduled for repair within 24 hours. I was called by the office coordinator when staff was on the way..very efficent, professional and effective. Pricey, but I am willing to pay for excellent service/repair with warranty. Professional/friendly staff. Will use again and recommend!

We got them from Angie?s List, and they were good. They showed up on time. The guy knew what he was doing, and he did the job. There was no trouble. I haven?t dealt with a lot of plumbers to know whether I was getting any value on the price or not. A lot of these guys these days have got this plastic rate sheet that has got everything on it already.

He said he would try to fix it by removing the stem and inspecting the fixture. If he could not repair it, it would mean he would have to tear out the wall and replace the entire pipe fixture. He stated if this was the case, I would have the option of having him cap off the pipe so we would have water in the house until the part was ordered. And, if he had to do that, he would not charge me for his time. Luckily he was able to repair the handle so that we no longer have the leak. His price was fair - how can you put a price on having running water in the house? He is very knowledgeable and competant. The only reason I would hesitate to hire him again would be due to his prices. We got several quotes on installing a sink in another bathroom and his was the highest by far. I would like to hire him to do that install but cannot justify paying double the price.

Butler Plumbing came to rebuild builder toilets that weren't flushing well. One of the toilet's water leaked out of the bowl after every flush. We agreed to watch it for one week. Butler called us back as they had promised, and returned to replace the toilet and inspect the sewer line. The service was outstanding. Everyone assoicated with the company is bright, articulate, and customer oriented driving toward the goal of customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company.

The workers at Butler are good. They were very punctual and they cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job. Their prices seemed reasonable.

My parents came to visit the week of my wedding and smelled gas in our house. We had previously smelled it as well and had someone come check things out and we were told there was no problem. My dad did some investigating around the house and found water leaking underneath our pier and beam house which was coming from the wall between the kitchen and bathroom. We called Butler plumbing and Fernando showed up promptly the next morning. He smelled the gas as well and told us that we had bigger problems than the water leak, there was a large gas leak in some rusted pipes underneath our house. He then spent 3 days fixing our gas and water issues. They were so so nice and got everything done very quickly and with very reasonable pricing. Fernando was fantastic! When he left my house you could not even that anyone had been in my landscaping digging a trench for gas lines! I can't thank you enough for making a very stressful week much better by providing good, quality service.

Originally on a Friday afternoon, called Butler out to find a leak in the yard due to water running down the yard and down the street at my rental property. Technicians arrived, spent some time trying to find where the break in the line was. After some discussion, we reached a mutual decision since this was not the 1st time there'd been a pipe break, the difficulty in finding this break, and the age of the pipe, (35+years) to replace the entire line. Scheduled the work for the following Monday. They obtained the permit from the city, did the work, city inspected and the yard back in place by Monday afternoon. Terrific! Did a great job! The other work was done at my residence. Technicians were on time, pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and completed the work just as promised.

Butler Plumbing arrived on time and in uniform. They put on protective bootie on their shoes and asked permission to enter. They promptly began working and within 15 minutes discovered the problem and fixed it. They then cleaning out the pipes and showed me on a pipe camera the inside of the drain.

The service technicians arrived right on time and were careful to put down cloths and buckets when opening the drains. Lucily we had an opening cut on the backside of the wall with the plumbing and they were able to cut the piping and clear the clogged pipe. They had to install a different type of connector when closing the vent stack. They also corrected the connection from the AC drain to the sink drain so it would drain properly. They did not have the panel to cover the whole in the wall so they called and another technician to bring one to them. Within 15 minutes they had the cover and installed it. They were careful so as not to track anything into the house and did a through clean up after the work.

John, a journeyman plumber, did most of the work and was assisted by Cody. John was very clear about the pricing policy, had the needed parts available and made suggestions as to how to avoid the clogging of the tub drains in the future. John was willing to spend the necessary time to fulfill my requests, to complete the work, and presented a bill, broken down by categories of work/ time required.

I received an excellent response and friendly professional service from this company! I called as soon as I saw the copious amount of water running from my yard which was mid-morning on Saturday. Water was literally bubbling up near my house and had flooded not only my yard but was in the street and my next door neighbor's yard. The company was fully booked for the day (Saturday is their busiest day) but said they would send someone by the house to see if there was anything they could do. When I found out they could come back on Monday I asked them to go ahead and turn the water off for the weekend. My appointment Monday was set for between 1 pm and 3 pm. I got a call at 8:00 am Monday morning asking if it was okay for the technicians to come right out since it was expected to rain and that would complicate the repair. The company had shifted another appointment to make this possible. I appreciated their consideration very much since rain was in the forecast for the next 3 days. They quoted me a price and had the leak repaired and the lawn cleaned up in record time. I am planning on replacing a number of faucets throughout my house and will definitely call this company for that work as well as any other plumbing repairs I may have in the future.

We were redoing our backyard and found there was a plumbing leak. The plumbers found two leaks and were able to cap them off. They told us what we needed to do to stop them and what it would cost. After fixing this they stayed and helped us understand how we needed to move two faucets and get them up to date and to meet city codes. The men showed up right on time and were immaculate with their work. We will always use them and would highly recommend them to anyone.
