Sean and his team are absolute professionals. He exceeded our expectations for our new backyard fire pit seating area. We absolutely love it. They had this all completed in less than four days (slight delay due to rain - would have only been 3 days). We have a couple of more projects we want to work on in the future, and Sean is the only one I plan to work with. Appreciate all of the quality work that they do.

They got the shrub out, and some of the roots, though there were several rather large roots left that affected the fixing of the leak. When they got the pipes exposed, we had some copper pipe, instead of all pvc and they weren't able to fix the plumbing (not licensed to work on copper) which also meant they did not have to fill in hole, and necessary cleanup. The shrub removal part of the job was OK, but there was a discrepancy between what was estimated and what was finally billed which we could not work out. Had planned to call them out to do other tree work at a later date, won't now.

it went very well. They showed up on time with plenty of notice. While they weren't able to get the rock I wanted, they worked with me the whole time to get a viable substitute. The sod they laid was healthy and the whole job looks great.

I woke up one morning to find the last zone of my in-ground sprinkler system did not shut off but had been running for a few hours. I had used Southern Landscape Solutions before with good results, so called them again. The problem was diagnosed accurately, repair work was done promptly, and the entire system was tested for proper coverage.

Great!!! Sean and Josh were professional, honest, reliable, more than fair, etc. They greatly exceeded my expectations and have earned the highest recommendation that I can give. Sean and Josh and their crew completed the job on schedule and in one day. They removed the old plants and installed approximately 130 new plants and shrubs and one tree. They spread mulch in all the flowerbeds, watered the new plants, and cleaned up and hauled off the old plants. They also provided detailed instructions on watering, pruning, etc. Everything looked great then the deer showed up. We have a severe deer problem in our neighborhood and although all the new plants were deer "resistant" or deer "proof", several were eaten after installation. Sean immediately replaced those plants (approximately 50) with different deer "resistant/proof" plants. They returned a second time and replaced another 7 plants that had been eaten, They did all this at their own expense and without any urging on my part. They would not give up until I was completely satisfied and the new landscape was something to be proud of.

Sean and his crew were great! They arrived on time and got the job done in about 3 days. They were very conscientious and cleaned up after the job was done. We've gotten several compliments about the job from neighbors and passers-by.

Replaced diaphragm on zone 1. Cleaned out and tested all valves. Replaced shorted connectors.

Sean met with us personally to discuss what we wanted. He recommend a person to help us with the design plan that needed to be submitted to the HOA. He was very prompt in replying to my inquiries and answered my questions thoroughly, He was very flexible with his schedule and worked with us to do the work at our convenience. His crew arrived promptly on time and were very careful in completing their work quickly. The job took about a week which is what Sean estimated it would take. Once completed, we have a few drainage issues, however, Sean was very responsive when I contacted him about the problem and he was quick to resolve our problems. My experience has been that no job is perfect the very first time and issues or problems always arise. The telling tale of a quality contractor however, is how they respond after the fact. I'd say Sean and the Southern Landscape Solutions crew deserve an A+ in that regard.

This is a highly responsible organization. Always on time and on schedule. Management responds to questions and I could always count on them for assistance. All the plants have a year warranty. No concerns about the quality or the qualifications of those who performed the work.

It went well and we would use them again ! I could not remember the price but I do remember that it was very fair !!!

Every step of this process has been executed to the highest standards of professionalism, quality and efficiency. There wasn't a single time where Sean's team?didn't arrive exactly when they said they would and?there was no?uncertainty regarding what they'd be working on. This was the first time I'd contracted something like this. I had a fairly high level of anxiety and a lot of questions. Sean?explained what would happen in?for each step. I must say that when the irrigation system was put in last Fall ?it looked like a bomb had gone off?for a couple of days but Sean had warned me that it would and, when it was finished, everything was cleaned up, ship shape and working like a charm. The irrigation system has 10 zones and we activated 7 when the irrigation system was installed; just leaving the drip irrigation zones for the completion of the planting beds and raised vegetable beds in the Spring.?It was my decision to wait until Spring to do this and not a delay on the part of Southern Landscape Solutions. The quality of all materials and components used for the irrigation system is of the highest quality available in the industry and Sean takes this very seriously. Using only the best, most reliable materials for everything is a well deserved point of pride for him. About 3 weeks after the completion of the irrigation system they came out and constructed a large patio off of my back porch. The framing for this was much more challenging than a rectangular slab of concrete as there are curves and points that correspond to the flow of the beds in the design.. There was also a mature Texas Redbud in the center of the patio that required framing a circular well to accommodate it.?Sean's team spent?2 days?preparing the ground,framing everything and laying rebar. On the day the concrete was poured the delivery was delayed through no fault of Southern Landscape but Sean's team remained motivated and in good spirits. Things really started happening fast when the cement truck finally arrived in early afternoon. I've never seen a more coordinated or efficient effort. It was like a well choreographed dance. Due to the late delivery of the concrete Sean's team worked well after dark to complete the?texturizing and staining. It was at least a 13 hour day for all of them and the result is a work of high craftsmanship. The final step started this week with the digging, preparation, irrigation and planting of the beds. As I mentioned earlier my lot is 200' deep. The planting beds are wide and very long with a curvaceous flow. They are numerous and massive. The drip irrigation has been laid out on a grid so, to add more plants over time, I'll just need to move the mulch aside, find the drip grid and plant without having to have additions or modifications to what's already there. The plant list included approximately 200 perennials ranging from 1 to 7 gallons in size with plenty of room for me to indulge my gardening passions by adding more over time.?Four 4'x4' waist high raised beds have been installed in the vegetable gardening area and a spigot added so that I can rinse my gardening tools. All of the plants being planted are incredible healthy and raring to grow. I can't say enough about Southern Landscape Solutions, Sean or his highly skilled team. These gentlemen are prodigious workers and very skilled at what they do. They are unfailingly professional and courteous and care deeply about creating something of?the highest?quality and beauty that will only become more beautiful with the passage of time. My stated goal was to create a beautiful haven for the enjoyment and benefit of birds, butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and, of course, me. Southern Landscape Solutions has executed on that goal and far exceeded my expectations in every regard.

Started on the day he estimated and took about 3 days... Very efficient - consulted with us when it looked like the beds around the new trees looked too big relative to the new lawn areas and flower beds. Had good recommendations for types of trees and where to purchase them as well as for the boulders (my husband wanted to pick those out himself)... The estimate he provided for the work came in very close to the final dollar amount. Everything was kept neat and clean throughout the transformation and cleaned up nicely when they were done.

Excellent. The leak was repaired the same day. I couldn't be happier.

Sean came out on three different occasions before I was finally ready to begin the project. He was patient throughout the process and never made me feel bad for changes or the delay to move forward. What impressed me the most was his creative ideas and vision for our backyard which was such a welcome relief; I was confident he was the best fit for our project. He did not disappoint. When the start date came, he and his crew showed up early and worked two and half long days. His crew was good and I liked the way Sean (and Josh) were hands-on the project and did oversee it until the end. The end results are amazing and we could not be happier with how it turned out. Sean Radabaugh came out and looked over my property. He made notes of everything I wanted accomplished and then made several suggestions. After agreeing on the work to be provided, Sean prepared a detailed estimate. I asked for a few changes and he willingly made the changes and sent me a new estimate which I accepted. His crew arrived early on the agreed start date. They did an excellent job and did not take any shortcuts to finish early. The irrigation system works perfectly. They removed all trash including the trees that were cut down. My yard hasn't looked this good in a long time. I am extremely satisfied with the work performed and would not hesitate to use them again. Sean and his entire team were courteous, professional, and a pleasure to do business with.

I am very happy with the result. Sean was responsive when I was still in the planning phase, and he stopped by several times and gave me several options to fit my budget. Sean recommended steel edging to keep the path looking tidy. I was concern about the steel edging, as I have seen too many installed and looking shoddy after a season. He assured me that it be sturdy. He was correct. The steel he used is not what is found at the big box store. Its much sturdier, and does not buckle, His team installed it evenly. The rock was installed nicely as well. After 6 months, I have not seen any issues, except the normal (Bermuda grass, etc). I would consult Sean first for my other projects. His price is a little higher than the others, but he uses better materials, the proper insurance and his team seems to be qualified people. I guess the cost of of a job well done is worth it, because you won't have regrets or pay (someone else) to do it again!

Seemed a little odd that I just paid to have someone fix nothing.

Terrible. At first glance the landscaping looks amazing, plant choices were great, and everything was satisfactory. The problem began when we got a large rain a few weeks before Memorial Day 2015 and water built up very badly in the back of my house (they actually covered drains I had by mistake) and a small amount entered the home. I let Sean know I had issues and he promptly sent the guys back out to install new drains. He then sent me a bill for $1000 to pay for them when they were the ones who covered them up in the first place so I refused and he canceled the bill. The bigger issue is during the design process I mentioned multiple times my number 1 concern was the lot grading and the fact that it slanted slightly towards my house. They came in and "fixed it" however they didn't actually. The entire back slopes directly towards my house enough that water builds up and I mean ALOT of water. Unfortunately during Memorial Day weekend it rained heavy again and my house flooded costing $50k plus of damage throughout. I let know Sean know I still had issues and the guys came out and did a terrible job adding another pipe in the front, it only made it worse. At this point I gave up on these guys. Buyer beware, if you have a simple project then they are fine but if you have anything to do with grading a lot or any kind of water issues I would highly recommend against them. I have spent another $3k on additional drains because they graded the lot wrong and unfortunately I still have to sandbag my house when it rains. Note I am not at the bottom of a hill, next to any body of water, or anything like that. Normal central Austin neighborhood. In order to fix it the entire back is going to have to be redone which Sean and team won't do.

After repairs were completed, Mike explained how the zones were arranged and times for watering in each zone.

Southern Landscape Solutions Inc. initially sent a technician to do an evaluation of the entire sprinkler system to see what needed to be done to have it operate efficiently. Upon review of the system, an estimate was submitted to us to make repairs and/or replacements. The technician returned a couple of days later and completed all of the work needed to the system. The technician was professional and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was operating correctly before leaving. Service was prompt, professional and courteous. I was especially impressed with Sean's immediate knowledge of the issues that needed to be addressed, suggesting the appropriate plants for the design, and with the follow up instructions on caring for the plants after the work was done. Sean and his team did a great job - the yard looks great!

Sean was a pleasure to work with from the initial consultation to the final visit to wrap up the job. His estimate was extremely detailed which other contractors did not take the time to do. This allowed us to tweak the job as needed to stay within our budget. He also explained to us exactly where we could view samples of the materials he had selected for transforming our yard. He uses materials readily available and sourced locally. His plant selections consist of native Texas plants which can survive the Texas season = summer. He listens very well, fully takes into account how you see your yard and makes suggestions during the entire process to help your vision of the perfect yard become a reality. If you're like us where you had a vision of a much nicer yard but really didn't know what is needed to get there, Sean is who you need to hire! We knew we needed to make changes to improve drainage and stop the erosion issues we were having but we didn't know how to really do that and make it look beautiful at the same time. He mixed in different types of rock to compliment one another and make for a very striking but natural looking walk path with large limestone stepping stones. His crew also helped transform part of our backyard into a playground for our young kids. They built the border per my specifications using the 2x12 border system I had bought. His crew brought in the playground mulch (11 cu yds) once I completed building the kids' playscape and sandbox... about 3-4 months after the project started. Sean was patient with me taking such a long time to finish the work but never did he indicate he would not complete the work we asked of him. The metal border he used around the beds is very thick and expected to last a very long time. Much thicker than I saw at the home stores. He also uses top of the line sprinkler components and adjusted our controller and zones to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. We're using less water and the yard looks great. His crew were all friendly and incredibly hard working. The amount of rock and mulch they moved into our yard was incredible! It has been almost a year since we had the work done and aside from the normal mulch degradation everything still looks great.

I am so happy with my new yard! It looks amazing. Sean was great with getting me an estimate and then we discussed the plants and he really understood what I wanted and he communicated that to his crew. His crew worked very efficiently and they were very courteous. The job was done in one day! I will be having additional work done in the near future. I highly recommend Sean as the job he did on my yard exceeded my expectations.

It went very well, as usual. They inspected my system, replaced one head that needed to cover a larger space and reviewed my controller settings with me. They're great at explaining how I should water and at reviewing how to program my controller. I highly recommend this company.
