New Wave Pools

My wife and I were devastated when Texas Custom Pools stole our money and left us with a half finished pool. I contacted at least 5 additional companies to provide quotes to finish it out. The alternative would have been to hire someone to come and bust out the pool shell and act like we never started building a pool and outdoor kitchen. Mark swooped in to our rescue. He is a Certified Pool Builder and he was an approved builder with our lender. Mark was very understanding about my paranoia, having just had Texas Custom Pools take my $25K and leave the project unfinished. It was really a night and day difference. Mark's crew showed up every day that weather allowed. He puts up a camera so that you can check on progress. He was communicative all the way through the build and he met his deadlines and budget. He continues to assist us as we are finally enjoying our pool after a 7 month nightmare and we are LOVING the pool and outdoor kitchen. When Mark originally came out, I told him that I'd never have a pool built again. After working with Mark and New Wave Pools, if we ever move and want a pool, he'll be the first one I call.

I checked out Angie's List and got recommendations from my neighbors. I trimmed the list to four local companies with good reputations. I selected New Wave because of their stellar recommendations from my neighbors (all five were constructed by NWP) and high quality of work. Mark, the owner, is an engineer and is one of few APSP Certified Professional Pool Builders in the Austin metro area. He has been in the pool building business for about 14 years. His sons work with him as CAD designers. There are many reasons why I decided to select New Wave Pools: 1. Mark is a sincere, honest person that I felt comfortable working with for the next few months. 2. New Wave Pool is committed to building pools that are environmentally-friendly and are energy savers. 3. New Wave has a crew of sub-contracters that have been with him for a very long time. All of them were professional and very good in producing high quality work. 4. Mark does his best that his customers are happy and communicates well.. The pool is under construction but so far I am thrilled with what I see. I will update the review upon pool construction completion and initial use.

It was a great experience. They built a pool for one of my neighbors so I talked to them. Mark, the owner, checked in with me regularly unlike another company I talked to so I went with them. I told them the general layout that I wanted. He sent me a picture of one that he had done and I actually went with that one because it fit the area that I wanted and had some really great features. He worked with me throughout the building of the pool to pick the tile and plaster that I wanted and colors that I wanted. I sent him a picture of the limestone on my house and his guys were able to match it. His price was the same price as another company I talked to. I actually referred him to somebody else and he is doing their pool.
