Mr. Handyman of NW Austin was prompt, detailed, on-time and did a great job! They installed closet organizing systems in both my children's closets and installed engineered hardwood floors in both bedrooms. They did such a great job, I had them bid on remodeling a bathroom. They were very competitively priced and the workers were fabulous. Marty and Richard are both very knowledgeable and detail oriented. I would highly recommend them for jobs around your house.

Very quick to respond to my initial inquiry (within an hour). They clearly explained all the pricing after getting a description of the jobs so there were no surprises. We set an appointment for the following week. The handyman they sent out was very professional and knowledgeable. He arrived on time, reviewed all the work to be done, and got started quickly. The caulk work on our master shower took longer than we (or the handyman) expected. This was probably due to the age and condition of the caulk as well as the amount (our show is 12-13 feet tall). The extra time was worth it though, since they results were amazing - like having a new shower. Everything was throughly cleaned after the caulk was removed, and they even applied caulk around towel rods, etc. They also replaced our shower head, something that I've tried to do several times. The old head has been in place for 20 years, and was very tightly 'stuck' on. He had it removed in minutes, along with the old arm, and installed the new one we had purchased. Finally, he removed an old ceiling fan an installed a new one we had purchased. He was careful to check with us about all the options - which side of the blades we wanted visible, how we wanted it wired to the switches (vs using a remote that came with the unit). Overall, it took nearly 5 hours, a little longer than the 3 hours we had expected. This was due to the shower caulk, and the extra time was well worth it to have it done right. I'm glad he took the time to make it perfect rather than rushing the job.

It took less time than was estimated and the repairman was very thorough and professional. Due to the very cold weather, he could not paint that day, but will come back another time to finish.

It went well. The guy was very good about the price of repairing the fence. At first he said he is going to rebuild it and I said no, just get it to the point that it opens and closes. He replaced lots and rebuilt some of it, but he kept the price on it. He did a really good job.

They were very prompt. They didn’t do the job right the first time. But they came back and they corrected it.

A tenant in one of my properties had a garbage disposal unit that wasn't operating well and she also had a running toilet. We've previously reset the garbage disposal and unclogged it by using the flywheel at the bottom. After a few times of doing this on our own, we decided to just have it replaced and so I called Mr. Handyman of NW Austin. They were very responsive for scheduling a visit. I called on Thursday and they were able to set up an appointment by 8am on Monday. I was quoted roughly $226 for 2 hrs of work. The Handyman came out on Monday. He quickly repaired the toilet and replaced the garbage disposal. It took less than the two hours of work so the price came out to roughly $154 for the service (I bought the garbage disposal unit myself). Overall, it was a good experience. I would use them again.

He lacked some material that I had to go out and buy (isolation tape for the electric wire...?!?), but I'm very pleased with all the service

We really enjoyed the service from Mr. Handyman and would highly recommend them. Our technician brought a positive/friendly demeanor, was efficient, and figured out how to fix things around the house that we couldn't/didn't know how. Mr. handyman seemed to be a bit higher priced than others, but they were much more readily available (came within a couple of days vs some responses of not being available for another 1-2 months), were bonded/insured, and only use their own employees (vs others who will subcontract out, which can drive a much higher variability in quality of service). All in all, I highly recommend Mr. Handyman!

When a repair or service is needed in our home, I always use Angie's List to look for service professionals for a particular job. A lot of the reason that I call a particular provider is based on the reviews that have been given by other customers. SO, when we needed to have our front wooden door refinished and the back door rehung, I looked for a handyman. Of the list of three providers that I contacted for the door repairs only one responded quickly and was the most positive - and that was Mr Handyman of NW Austin. Greg replied right away to our concerns and he continued the follow up calls in a prompt and courteous manner. The repairs were done by Larry, who we found a connection with right away. He was very professional and got right to work with the needed sanding, surface work and staining. My husband and I are very pleased with the finished product. Beautiful results! No one coming into my house would ever know there had been damages and repairs. Larry Duncan was efficient, left zero mess, and was pleasant while underfoot. I would absolutely call for him again if I ever need ceiling work in the future. I was impressed that he showed up precisely on time and completed the work in the estimated amount of time [4 hours].

Work went well and the final outcome was excellent. The handyman that came out was very professional and let me know exactly what was going on all the time. I have two issues, the final price was very high especially since they didn't supply any materials. And, every contractor I have ever dealt with has removed the construction material after the project was completed. After the handyman left I was surprised to see a large pile of stuff on my garage floor. So I had to add a trip to the dump to the cost of the work. Overall though the outcome was great and we are now happy with the results.

They did a wonderful job. They did a really great job of repairing the window. They did exactly what they were going to do and it looked like a brand new bay window. They cleaned up after themselves.

This is the best experience I have ever had with a contractor and his workmen. Everyone involved showed up when they said they would, did exactly what they said they would do for the price they quoted, and started and finished the job when they said they would. The price was reasonable and the quality of the work was excellent. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a trustworthy, competent, and thoroughly professional outfit. I plan to use them again for future projects.

-This was the second time we dealt with Mr. Handyman of Northwest Austin, and as a result of that experience we didn't think twice about who to call for this adventure. We spoke with Greg on 2-26-13 in the afternoon, explained the problem, and received a commit-ment to begin the work on 2-28-31. On that date, Jimmie, an excellent electrician, arrived and promptly began to do the electrical work needed. He worked efficiently and effectively. He explained what was needed and why. I would not hesitate to hire him again or to recommend him. On the next morning, promptly at 8 AM, Larry arrived at our door. I was delighted to see him as he had done the previous work for us and we had been more than pleased with him and his work. He had a difficult job to do, but he did it with a positive attitude and an efficiency that amazed us. He finished the project in a timely manner and left the area in a spotless condition. We really appreciate Larry and his work ethic. He is an excellent craftsman and also a good human being. Greg and his wife have a great business model; they, themselves are responsive when contacted, and they hire excellent workers. I will use them again for any of the work they do.

Showed up on time and was courteous and friendly. Completed trim repair on the back of the house and ceiling repair in our powder room. Worked efficiently and completed in the timeframe that was estimated. Will use again! Very easy to work with. Thanks again!

They did a good job. They were efficient and fast and the work was good.

First day: got materials, tore out rotted area, made tilt for ledge runoff, left at 5pm Second day: installed flashing and wood, sanded angle to matchup with existing ledge, chaulked, met with to settle work order. Did have shock at cost but job looked good.

Initial contact with owner Greg was informative and cordial. He explained pricing and scheduled the appointment for the technician to come out promptly. Because I was having trouble describing the area needing repair, I emailed photos to Greg so they would know what type of equipment might be needed. The technician arrived when he said he would, knew exactly what to do to complete the repair, It was a positive experience although I was a little surprised at the initial rate of $216 for the first two hours of work. That seemed high to me but I haven't comparison priced in this area for that kind of work.

I found them on Angie's List. They were knowledgeable. They were prompt. They were efficient. They did not waste anytime. They knew what they were doing. They did what they said they would do. I was very pleased.

Mr. Handyman was prompt, polite, and did good work.

His quality was good. I would use him in the future.
