Mr. Handyman of NW Austin

Mr Handyman removed one rotten fence post and replaced with a new one. He didn't have our style of fence post so he had to go to Lowe's for a replacement. Mr. Handyman charges by the hour which included the trip to Lowe's. Otherwise, he did an excellent job which included removing the rotten fence post.

He was great. He wasn't able to hang the over hood- but did give me a detailed reason why. He helped put the vent together and then installed light fixtures. He was very professional and helpful. Definitely would call on him again.

The Handy Man arrived on time and was prepared for the work. His service was very well done with special attention to details. He did not hesitate to complete all the requests made. He secured a board that was pulling away from the deck and the brick side of the house. I was pleased that he repaired the section very secure and tight.

Mr Handyman's office said they tired to call us at our numbers, but the phones didn't work. Our phones (home & 2 cells) keep records of missed calls, and we do not have any record of any calls until the technician called our home phone. In addition, I contacted Mr. Handyman, and they got back with the same old "We tired to contact you several times". The e-mail from Mr. Handyman (November 3, 2014) Ken, I just spoke with you and have tried to call you back several times on the number you provided. That number, as well as all the other numbers I have listed for you, do not work. They will not connect or let me leave a message. My wife's cell phone rang while she was in the bathroom, but no message. Our phones WORKED on October 31st, and the WORK today, November 3rd. We have use Mr. Handyman several time over the past 10 years, but they must be under new management. I have never hand such a poor professional handling of a request. The total requested payment of $226 has been paid for this poor service.

Jim, the supervisor was excellent with my mom (it was her house) and she is elderly and difficult to explain things to. My mom loved the construction man that did all of the work. We will request him again if we need anything else done. Everything was done according to the bid, they were timely and even early with the painting. It looks very nice and we are pleased with the service and the price for everything they did was fair. They even changed out an extra board under the porch that was rotten and installed a new porch light for me (I purchased it) so I did not have to do it.

This company no longer does this type of work.

Late arriving to job site but not over an hour. Charges were higher than quoted. We supplied all materials.

I was very reluctant to have somebody out for such a simple and relatively minor problem but my front door was very hard to open and my door to the garage was very gappy and difficult to open and close also. Marty Allen was the technician who came out and he was very quick and thorough. He determined that with the front door I really needed to have the lockset replaced as it was very worn, but in the meantime he adjusted the way the door was hung well enough that it works quite satisfactorily and I can live with that until I can select a whole new locking mechanism for it. When I do, I will definitely be calling them for an install. He did that so quickly that I used the remainder of my hour of service to have him take a look at the door to my garage. He determined that the doorframe was actually installed at an angle making a perfect fix impossible but he adjusted the hinges enough and installed weather stripping at a different angle sufficiently to make the function of the door much better and something closer to a good seal without gaps at the top.

Mr. Handyman of NW Austin did a fantastic job for us. My husband is swamped at work and we had a huge To Do list we could never get to. I liked the fact they have all the right insurance and are bonded. Not as cheap as some unknown off Craigslist, but these guys do quality work and are very professional.

All done very nicely. Larry was my provider and he wanted to do a good job, and did. The cost was so low because I used an Angie's List coupon. Otherwise the cost is $85/hour. All the items on my list were completed.

I had a very good experience with them. It’s just really good. I would really recommend them because they're on time and they worked on that. I feel that they are very professional, clean after themselves and I like them a lot. They're awesome.

My experience was so far so good. They’re currently working with us. It’s not the first time I’m using them. They sent someone to fix the air conditioning and someone to fix the roof and the drywall. They were really responsive. They’ve done good work. They’re busy right now and I had to get them scheduled. They’re a little bit pricey but not overly so for this area.

Has to be the best Handyman service in town. The handyman showed up on time and did the work as detailed. The installation of the kitchen faucet was very challenging with pipes not fitting properly and causing a bit of leak. This was fixed. The faucet was installed very cleanly. The old faucet had rusted and it was cleanly removed.

Very well. We had all the supplies here and the installation went in smoothly.

Marty Allen and his assistant arrived on time, amd discussed with me what I wanted done. They worked diligently the entire time, and the work was well-done. They had some of the material that they needed on their van, and quickly acquired the rest at a nearby Lowes. They put down protective material where they worked, cleaned up afterwards, and removed all related debris. The cost mainly was for labor, but included some and materials (but not the disappearing stairway which I already owned). I selected the firm because they had such good reviews, and no F or D ratings. The hourly cost does seem high, but is not out of line with other service providers (AC service, electrical service, etc.).

They were friendly and did a good job. The work was excellent. The price was a little high but other than that, it was good.

The experience was fine. The guy that did the work was very helpful. I would use them again if I still lived in that area and owned a house.

Mr Jim showed up on time and promptly got to work. My cabinet and drawer fronts were not quite level so he went the extra step and leveled them for me before installing the handles. Everything looks great! Mr Jim was friendly and professional, he even did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. I would definitely call them for some up coming jobs I need done around the house.

I called the number listed and they said it was the wrong company, they said they would never do that much work for that little amount of money. They gave me another number to call, who also said they weren't who I was looking for. I then wrote a message right away and the original service provider called me back and told me they don't service my neighborhood.

We were very pleased with the work that was done to refinish our front door. Larry was professional, courteous and took his time to complete the job on both our front door and the resetting on our back door. We would definitely call them again with other household type repairs.
