Description of Work: First meeting was awesome, really professional and I was impressed with the woman's knowledge. I was promised an email with a price quote and several days went by and I didn't receive one. (I would like to state every contractor I have dealt with has not gotten back to me when they said they would, must be a trade thing.) I called in to find out what had happened, and I was told the woman was on vacation. They called her while she was on vacation to get the quote which I thought was a bit excessive, but also somewhat impressive. She called me back and promised me a quote the next day. I didn't get the quote again for several more days. This didn't bother me all that much, if I was on vacation, I wouldn't want to be bothered. I would have had someone else do the work, or I would have done it prior to leaving for vacation, however. This company needs to learn to under promise and over deliver. | |I went ahead and setup an appointment with them, took the day off from work so I could be home to meet with them of course, and no one showed. A couple of hours after my appointment time came and went, I called their office and I was told the contractor setup to come to my house had quit that morning and no one knew. That didn't speak well and it made me unhappy no one bothered to call me to tell me, turns out the woman in charge was ill this time. I got a call and we setup a new appointment. This time I had to cancel because a job in a new state. I had to cancel on the weekend, the day before the appointment that was scheduled. I was told it shouldn't be an issue and I should receive a full refund. | |I got an email a few days later notifying me of my cancellation and stating there was a mysterious 24 hour cancellation fee of an enormous amount that hadn't been listed in any of the paperwork. I was not happy about that. No one had bothered to pay me when they cancelled without any notice and I missed work. Amazing how that double standard applies. I sent an email back, never heard anything from them. We called the office and the office manager provided a full refund a few weeks and some more credit card interest later. | |I'm not happy about the way this situation was handled, but in the end they did the right thing.

Description of Work: Demo'd and installed tile floors for the kitchen.

Description of Work: The work involved reviewing alternatives in rebuilding and tiling a master bedroom shower, removing a step that ran along the face of an adjacent Jacuzzi and tiling the face of the Jacuzzi after removal of the step and tiling the floor of the room in which the shower, Jacuzzi and toilet were located. The tile needed to complement the antique gold color of the Jacuzzi and existing faux marble which was not being replaced. All aspects of the job went efficiently and smoothly with Rene Salazar carefully listening to our goals and color requirements, meeting us with excellent tile choices that fully met our desires, providing us with alternative approaches and arranging that the work be done by one of his trusted craftsmen. The work took approximately two weeks which was reasonable considering all the phases. We were quite pleased and considered the cost reasonable.

Description of Work: Had hard-wood flooring installed in my office.

Description of Work: Floor Coverings International removed the existing builder-grade carpet throughout our house and replaced it with upgraded carpet.

Description of Work: Sold materials and installed flooring for all rooms except master bath (to be done later). Hardwood floors were installed everywhere except kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. Slate tile was installed in kitchen, upstairs bath, downstairs powder room & laundry room.

Description of Work: I have used them a couple of times, once several years ago in our previous house and more recently with our new condo and have been quite pleased. They installed carpet in the condo we moved into in Sept 2010 and we were satisfied with the price and the service. The carpet began to fray at the door to the master bedroom in March of this year and I called them to see if they could fix it and they came out and made the minor repair promptly and without charging me. I like companies that stand by their work and take care of problems when they arise.
