They showed up on time and completed the job in the amount of time they had estimated. The repair looks great and blends into the rest of the drywall such that you can not tell where the hole in the drywall was. They did an excellent job covering everything in the area and masking off the switches and trim in the area and then cleaning up afterwards. They will be the first people I call for my next drywall project.

We had a handyman who did drywall remove a recessed built in entertainments center and put drywall over the hole, texture, and paint. We were dismayed after all was done to see that you could see, especially in certain light, the clear imprint of where the entertainment had been. It bulged at the seams and it was not at all blending in. He claimed that there was no way that you could make it seamless. I read good reviews of Martinez Drywall on Angie's List, and decided to contact them to see if they could fix this. Tomas and his brothers reassured us that they could make this right, and they did an excellent job. Having been burned, we were carefully overseeing each step of the 2 day process, and Tomas and his brothers (family business) explained each step of what they were doing. They had to remud and float the wall, as well as retexturing and painting it. They are artists. The work is just beautiful. I really didn't think they could fix such a botched job, but they are artists--you really can't tell where the entertainment center was. Not only are they great at drywall (should have called a drywall person to begin with: lesson learned), but they were professional, nice, and great at cleanup. I highly recommend them!

Overall, very pleased with the finished work & price. We originally used Martinez Drywall for an emergency situation a few years ago after losing balance in the attic and falling through the roof! Within 2 days, the hole was repaired and the ceiling texture was matched perfectly so nobody would ever know today that we had a hole between the living room & the attic at one time--and the job cost us much less than we feared it would. When we needed additional patchwork done this summer, we contacted Tomas Martinez again to get an estimate. Between contacting him to stop by to quote the job, we also decided to smooth out the texture on a 9'x16' wall so wallpaper could be hung on it. Tomas showed up and took notes on everything we wanted done & pointed out small, additional cracks in our drywall that we hadn't even noticed. Within a few days, we received the price quote and we set a date to have the work completed. On the day of the drywall work, Tomas' brother arrived to complete the job. Drop cloths were laid out and the entire work area was sectioned off with plastic so our counters and floors would not get dirty from the work being done. Within 2 hours, all the small patch & crack work was completed, and he started smoothing out the texture on the wall. During the day, Tomas stopped by to check on the work and ask if we needed anything else or if we had questions. After another 4 hours or so, it was all completed and the brother explained that he may need to stop by again later to add another coat. Tomas called me later to ask if they could stop by again 2 days later to assess the work and add another layer of mud to the smoothed wall, if they decided it needed to be smoother. Even though we thought it all looked outstanding, the brother decided to touch it up again to get it really smooth--the work on that second day took less than 2 hours. Today, our wallpaper guy came to hang the paper on the freshly smoothed wall & he asked for Tomas' contact information so he could possibly use Martinez Drywall for future jobs together. He was really impressed with how well the wall looked & had the wallpaper hung in no time. Oh & I forgot to mention that the texture work on the ceiling cracks that were repaired did not require painting later because the new white texture added matched the existing white color perfectly. We are very happy with the work completed and we would use Martinez Drywall again with any other jobs we have.

We experienced flooding in our home after a drain in our courtyard got plugged during a heavy rainstorm. Our entire first floor was covered in water. Our home insurance policy didn't cover the damage, so instead of going through the expense of hiring a professional water extraction company to dry the wet areas with industrial fans--which is very expensive--we decided to simply remove the wet materials immediately. Timing was critical. After reading their reviews on Angie's List, I called Martinez drywall and spoke to Tomas directly. I told him the whole story and he immediately understood the problem. He came out the same day to assess the job and gave me a quote the same day. He sent someone early the next day (Saturday) to start removing the baseboards. Because Tomas knew we didn't have insurance and the baseboards were mold-free, he suggested that we reuse them. He had his employee remove the baseboards very carefully so as not to damage them and then had them labeled so that they could be reinstalled in the correct areas. They worked through the weekend and into the following Monday. I was very appreciative of their hard work and responsiveness. Although I asked for quote to have them reinstall the materials, their price was too high.

They did the work as the were suppose to, very clean, picked up every speck, they have respect for the premises, exceptionally done, price reasonable, they call if they are going to be late, A+ company. I have dealt with them 3-4 times, and each time is better then the last.

I contacted Tomas on a Thursday afternoon and we were unable to meet until the following Monday, which happened to be Memorial Day. He emailed me a quote that day and we agreed on Tuesday that he'd start on Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning his crew arrived at 8:30 AM sharp. His crew did an excellent job. Very pleased with the results. I do a lot of the work in my home myself, but I discovered a while back that taping and floating is an art that I don't have time to perfect. One task that I'll gladly pay professionals to do. These guys were great.

When I accidentally stepped too far into the attic space and my leg went through the ceiling of my master bedroom, I felt terrible. Martinez Drywall came to the rescue even though he was busy with other emergency jobs due to the recent flooding. Tomas came in the late afternoon/evening to do the repair and my husband and I could not have been happier with the result. The repair was absolutely seamless and Tomas textured the repair area to match the rest of the ceiling. Also, Tomas is a friendly and gracious person. Tomas Martinez is excellent in every resect: first rate, quality work; promptly returns phone calls; charges a fair price for his services. This is one of the best if not the best experience I have had with any kind of work being done to my house (and I've had plenty). Mr. Martinez cares about doing good work, and he cares about his clients.

Martinez is a true PROFESSIONAL. Everything he has done has been on time, perfect, absolutely beautiful and (can you believe it?) inexpensive. They are very friendly, helpful with insurance advice and improvement suggestions. They are quite willing to go the extra mile and do extra things for you that you need. We are now looking around for other things he can do for us.

They worked quickly and well with the others who were also working on this kitchen at the same time. No problem at all with their scheduling. I woul recommend them for drywall and painted. They do a great job of getting off the old wall paper and making the walls match texture wise.
