Only complaint is some sloppiness at taping edges and drops of paint on floor and shelving in spots.

Seemed to be off to a good start, showed up on time, competitively priced. Dropped off a nice folder with insurance. Answered and responded to phone calls. But the subcontractors they hired and the quality control are probably better fit for painting a horse barn that does not matter what the quality of the product looks like. I am very sad to report this company skipped steps on the prep, was lazy, poor carpenters, sloppy painters, and disrespectful. EDIT: This ownership group is a stand up group...Problems happen on every job, it's how you recover and listen to protect the reds of the home owner. It took multiple attempts to ge the job done right but they kept their word and did what we needed . We discussed the points where we could have had better service and work and they apologized and made it right. Our first project manager was not the best with receiving criticism or comments about shoddy work, but our second and most skilled project manager should be the face of the company - Forrest was amazing. Ask for Forrest! We chose the better paint, replaced some window trim and Facia board at a few spots. Areas to ask to be mindful of that we did not revive proper care at the start: covering up the gardens (we found allot of dangerous items like razor blades, nails, glue scraps, wood splinters on play areas), removing old sealant, scraping, pressure washing thoroughly, and clean up. I suggest walk through quickly after they finish, hit the obvious things and then do a second walk through in different lighting to see the things you or spouse did not see. It is amazing how many details go o to painting an exterior. Cheap is not always best, ask for points along the paint job to share your opinion of work before they finish the whole project. Good company overall, young but diligent and willing to make things right. At the end of the day my house looks great. My biggest concern before starting was the prep. Clean really well, reseal and choose amazing quality paint, please cover my garden beds. Well the only thing that we got was quality brand of paint, but it is ok my food if the material adhering is prepped. These guys pressure washed the entire house in less than 90 minutes? .I took really good pictures of before and after, they hardly even cleaned the place. I pointed it out to the foreman. Here is what he said; trust the process your going to love it. It is fine. The foreman and sales person Justin told me it will take 4 days to paint the did they entire job so quickly, it produced really snotty work. We had two walk thoughts and both times the foreman made excuse after excuse and was talking down to me about expecting his workers to do quality work. We had them replace some of the trim work, that does not match up, foreman said that is our best carpenter that did the work and he will not fix it again. We have peeling exterior paint in doors because they used the wrong paint and did not prep the doors by sanding or other other methods. Also we picked up all the paint chips and 19 nails 3 razor blades out of the yes they crew left after they told us they would walk and make sure it is all cleaned up. We have zero patience for this type of service especially when we asked to have a high standard of execution and all we asked was to keep every clean and durable. I have asked the painter to come back, promises he will come back. I will replace this review with an honest review if they actually come back and finish the in. Oh by the way I pay full price no money is owed to the company just work done for me. Anyone would like to see pictures please reach out to me privately. I am blown away every time I look at these pictures of how poorly this job was executed.

Hill Country Painting did a great job restaining/painting my home exterior. They were prompt and professional and reasonably priced.

I should have picked a better color

They were very friendly and great to work with however when they were halfway with the job I questioned them as to why they did not patch something. They said they just wanted to put the paint on the walls and they would go back and patch it. They did and it was a very poor job. When I asked he said they were not professionals at that they were only painters. My thought is that if you are a painter you need to know how to do the prep work too. They also used water-based paint over the trim and doors which had oil-based paint on them. They said there was no oil-based paint to be found. They did not prep those either and now the paint is peeling off. It was not a professional job in my opinion they just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. It took longer than they were expecting and I would have been happy to pay a little more for them to do it the correct way. Instead, they did a poor job and ran out of there as fast as possible. Not happy about it at all. Overall the house looks much better than it did, but there are many flaws, drips on the doors, and poor patchwork.

They did a great job! Professional, communicated well, and timely. Absolutely recommend!

Everyone was very professional. From the person that called me to set up the estimate to the painters on the job, all were extremely informative and professional.

Communication can be a bit faster, but quick recovery over all. Looked great upon completion.

Had some WX concerns early in the project. Once the crew started they were fast and efficient.

Very responsive during the bid/quote process. Of seven businesses we interviewed, they were among the less expensive. Crew was extremely nice and hard working. They stomped on a lot of my plants during painting, but that was probably unavoidable and I should have thought to do the project during winter. Did the project on time. Had to switch from Sherwin Williams paint because of supply shortage but approved it with me first. Would recommend the project manager do a final walk through with customer and survey. Would hire them again and have recommended to neighbor.
