Griffith Remodeling

The experience with them was not good. They started a job, and they almost finished it, but they didn't completed it. I made repeated calls to them, but they didn't come back. They were the ones that told me what times of material to get, and apparently, some of the moldings were not the right type, and they told to go to the store to change them, and then once I did that, I called them, and they never showed up.

Mr. Griffith provided me a labor quote for installing laminate flooring and told me it would take approximately 2 days to complete the job. He inspected the area where the work would be done and advised me on what materials to get as well as where I could get the materials. He installed the laminate and the shoe molding and the transitioning pieces by the fireplace, but the remaining transitioning pieces did not fit the other areas. I had to go back to the store and order what was needed. It took a couple of weeks to get the remaining pieces because the store was out of them. I contacted Greg Griffith and a time and date were set for him to return and finish the work, however first his wife called and said he was ill in the hospital. Then another time and day were set and he didn't show up or call. I continue calling him and leave messages, but didn't get any response. This went on for several weeks. Eventually I emailed him giving him one more chance. I told him that hiring someone else to complete the work might cost me more then what he had discounted (about $50.) and told him I might take him to small claims court for the difference. I got no response. I contacted a friend to help me finish the work and he told me the second set of transitioning pieces were incorrect also. He also told me that then way the laminate had been installed against the walls was wrong. Needless to say I contracted with another business and he finished the transitioning pieces as best as possible. He too said that the base boards should've been removed prior to installing the flooring. I guess I'll know better next time. My reason for just now writing this review is that I just became a member with Angie's List.

I live in an older home that does not have a pantry but I have a laundry room off the kitchen. I wanted to convert that room into a laundry/pantry room. To do that -- I will put in a stackable washer and dryer and the other half i will used as a mini pantry. I also have a water dispenser in that room. The contractor offered suggestions tthat would allow the dispenser to stay in the room along with the shelves I wanted. The materials he purchased were also better than I expected plus it saved on the cost.

The Bathroom is now called the 'Queens Room". That's how much I love it! The closet actually holds ALL MY SHOES! One of the things I like about Greg is that he looks around the house and incorporates your taste and style into his suggestions when selecting products He will be coming back for our next project: Building a Screen porch...
