Friendly, punctual, detail-oriented, excellent response time and Saul is a great contractor they use! Next week starts the interior!
Description of Work: We needed a complete exterior paint and they came highly recommended. I see why! Bette and Mike are awesome and have great crews that spend time doing prep work. Their bid includes paint and two coats. Very competitive. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for! Excellent work.

Please save yourself the trouble and do not work with this company, even if their pricing is better than most. You know the adage, "You get what you pay for..." They are disorganized, they over promise and under deliver, and apparently they do not like working with customers who are vigilant and check the quality of their work and call them out in every situation when they cut corners. You may have a great experience with them, but believe me when I say our experience should never be an experience for any customer. Our job was straightforward, in a nutshell we needed some 6 areas painted, expected every nail pop and patch issue on walls they were painting to be fixed, and they were to match our existing wall colors in hallway/foyer (using paint can info we provided). That's it. But apparently once you reach their threshold of acceptable customer feedback while the job is underway, they quit on you. Yes, quit. We endured them for 3 days and at 3PM on the 3rd day the crew up and left. We didn't even know they quit, figured they were just packing up early for Good Friday. But I should have suspected because I called the owner (Mike) 6 times and sent 2 text throughout the day trying to reach him because of issues I saw with his painters that day (before and after they left), and he never called me back until the NEXT day to tell me he wasn't coming back. He gave no good reason for quitting. His first reason as "my painters didn't feel comfortable in your house" and I tuned out after that. Why did they really quit? I suspect it is because they would have lost money on the job once they realized on day 3 that they would have had to repaint our foyer/living room because they did not properly match our existing wall colors. This despite us talking AT LENGTH with them from the beginning about how important it was to match the color and painting a sample to confirm. Here are the remaining highlights: 1) The person who estimated the job (Bette) and the company owner (Mike) apparently never talk. We discussed full project and needs at length with Bette, but at project start Mike came out and we had to re-explain expectations for every single area over again. 2) Bette could never send me a proper contract despite promising many times she would. In fact, the job started w/o a signed contract. 3) Bette told me several times they would paint a sample to confirm it matched some existing walls that we painted and didn't need repainting. Then Mike shows up and we explain this to him and he says 'Sherwin Williams will match, no problem', and never bothers with the sample. Guess what, it didn't match... 4) Were told many times 2 painters would work the job and it would take 2-3 days. Their painters have been with them for 2 years, etc. Then on day 1 when they are at the house ready to start, we are told there will be just 1 painter because apparently some crews quit. 5) The company owner Mike is not bilingual. When he has to discuss details with his crew, he calls another guy who is bilingual, and they use the speakerphone to facilitate the discussion. No wonder details are lost and things overlooked, right? 6) They give you estimate for 2 coats, then only put 1 coat of paint on walls unless you watch them like a hawk. I asked the painter on a few occasions if he put two coats on the wall, and he would say yes. But it's obvious in our living room he did not due to sheen issues on wall. 7) They don't finish one area before starting the next area. With large spaces like ours, even with 2 guys there should have been at most 2 areas being painted at once. Sometimes there were 3 or 4, which increased the mess, the amount of plastic they put down, lengthened the time for us to put a room back together, etc. 8) They agree with you on what is to be patched, then they 'forget' and don't patch and I guess hope you don't notice. Also the contract stated they will 're-texture', and instead they tell you they'll caulk some cracks. So they don't like up to promises. 9) Painters were not careful about covering everything properly and got paint spatter on floors, windows, woodwork, vanity lights, towel bars, whirlpool tub, etc. Because they quit, I got to clean all that up as well as put away furniture they moved to do their painting. There's more, but you get the point... Here's what's good about working with them: 1) Bette and Mike are friendly people and easy to work with. But they did quit the job rather than making things right, which speaks more about their character than anything. 2) Mike really seems to try and puts forth effort. The first 2 days on the job he was at the house at least 3-4 times throughout the day to check on things and fix issues. 3) You pay them nothing until job is complete to your satisfaction. This will be your saving grace if you decide to use them, but not 100% guarantee because they may quit on you too...

I went very well, had the job completed in the time frame, and the work was quality. This was the first job his crew had done for me, I did have them come back about 7 months later and do the exterior of my house as well.
Description of Work: They painted my entire house, walls one color, and ceiling white. I input a zero in the dollar amount because I could not remember the exact cost of the job.

Mike the owner is great guy and wanted to satisfy all our needs yet his crew were not in agreement. They spilled paint on our carpet in the dinning room and did sloppy work. Mike would have them correct any issues as soon as possible yet for some reason it was evident the crew was intent on doing the level of work that satisfied their standards not ours.
Description of Work: Removed popcorn through out the entire house and paint most of the rooms.
