Emerald Lawns

The project took a little longer than we expected but overall it went smoothly. The crew was always present when they said they would be and cleaned up before leaving every day. We would use this company again.

There wasn't much to it, it was a quick and painless process. In the spring, my grass came up green and lush!

We have used Emerald Lawns more than once and always receive great service. They are prompt and professional.

It was ok. Nice Guys but you could tell they just wanted to get done and out of there.

We booked a Fall lawn service when it was offered on Angie's List. Due to various communication snafus, the service didn't actually get performed until December--many weeks later--when it was too late to do the Fall Service and they substituted a winter treatment. There's no way of knowing whether or not this service was effective until we see what the weed situation looks like, so I can't evaluate the quality of the work. As a side note, the technician did leave a detailed note with recommendations that seem to be priced higher than other lawn services. Once we finally got the arrangements straightened out (after multiple e-mails), they were very nice to deal with, called to confirm the night before as requested, and showed up on time. So they might be wonderful but our experience is difficult to measure. We might use them again but would have to do more research on other company's prices and work.

Emerald Lawns always calls before applying a treatment. The lawn looks good so far. I'm happy with their professionalism and punctuality.

I was not present for the work but they were professional and made sure to know where the sprinkler system was prior to performing any work.

I was happy with the service. I received what I paid for. The company did take the opportunity to make a pitch for continuing with year-round service, but they were not pushy about it. I liked them. I'd use them again.

The company was very professional. They came at the scheduled time and did a very good job aerating the lawn and spreading fertilizer. The price was reasonable and we were pleased with the outcome. Have recommended them to others and would use them again.

Emerald Lawns has improved the overall quality of our lawn. I find them to be professional and courteous. I do however feel that their service is a bit expensive compared to other companies that we have interviewed, but they do have the commitment to come back between service calls if you have not received good results. Our lawn is not entirely without weeds, but I imagine that might be do to the extreme heat and drought that lawns in this area endure.

I bought the deal and scheduled the service an hour later. Emerald came out 3 days later and performed the service leaving an invoice on the front door. This is the third time I have used them so they my lawn dimensions on hand and only charge an extra $10 for each 1000 square feet. I paid $25 for the deal + $10 for the extra - so $35 total for a 6500 square foot lawn!

Great experience with aeration service. Tech came out to do analysis first and then scheduled following that. I had quite a few areas they needed to 'avoid' due to underground lighting wires etc and they were willing to work around that. Great experience. I would use them again.

It went well. We had a false alarm call telling us to get ready and water the yard and then no one came. They came out the next day, though, and were very apologetic.

Emerald Lawns had performed the same service a year prior at full cost, so this was an opportunity to have the same service done at a much lower cost. The result was the same, so its apparent they do the same work even though the cost was reduced. My yard has greatly improved over the past two years and some of that is due to the aeration even though watering has been limited because of the city's water restrictions. Very pleased!

Arrived on time and did the work. Got what I paid for

We began lawn care service early this year and had several treatments without seeing much improvement. We only had one major issue with them and it was over mulching. We had someone come out and give an estimate for mulching our beds and trees. The estimate left on our door was for $240.00. Seemed high but we'd never had it done before so we called them and gave the green light because we had just mulched our back yard trees and bushes and it was a lot of work. They came out about a week later while we were at work and mulched. Problem was that they only mulched what we had already done ourselves. None of the other trees were done and they removed all of the new mulch we had just bought and put down. We called to complain and i spoke with the guy that did the job. He apologized, said the estimate was only for the places in the yard that were already mulched. I explained that we didn't know that, hadn't been told that, and wouldn't have given the green light for $240 if we had known that. He said he understood and would come back that day to mulch the rest of the trees. I arrived home that afternoon but nothing had been done. I called the office to complain again and was told that he did come back but there were too many trees to do and we would have to pay an additional $75 to do them for materials. We didn't want to pay additional money because we had the original estimate but were stuck so we said ok. They came out and mulched the trees in the front yard but didn't do the trees in the backyard so we had to call again. They did come back and do the final three in the back but overall it was an unpleasant experience and the quality of work in the trees not originally mulched was poor. Not enough was placed and we have grass growing up through the mulch. In the end we paid more than the estimate and didn't get enough mulch for our trees.

Emerald Lawns was quick to respond to my purchase. They called before they showed up. They showed up on time and did a good job.

We ended up holding off the service until spring of 2013.

They were responsive and professional. The experience was pleasant and they didn't hound me to upsell and add more services. They simply did the work asked and they did a thorough job. I will not hesitate to contact them for work in the future, and will gladly recommend them to my friends.

Someone came by without any prior contact to arrange a time. Their tech knocked on the door but I did not know who they were or that they were with Emerald Lawns so I did not answer the door. Sometime afterwards, I found a written estimate to have my lawn serviced as determined needed by their analysis of the yard's condition. I sent an email to schedule only the service I pre purchased through Angie's List and their reply said I would need to call the tech who's name was on the paperwork left at my home. Before I called, I found yellow granules on the lawn, sidewalk and stepping stones around my house. I also found more paperwork left on my door explaining what service was completed and that no further payments were due. I'm happy they applied the lawn treatment but would liked for them to have cleaned it off the stepping stones. I'm grading a B overall for the lack of communication. It is too early to tell if the treatment is effective or not. If the treatment works, I think it was a good deal.

They did a really good and were fair and reasonable. They did exactly what they said they were going to do.

They were slow in getting to us after we had paid for the service VIA credit card. After application was performed (approximately) 3 weeks after initial contact, no instructions were given about the need to water the lawn or not water the lawn.

Buster always calls the day before to let me know that he will be out in the morning to perform service. He is always on time, polite and does his job in a timely fashion.
