Emerald Lawns

When I called they said they would contact me a day or so before they came out. Weeks passed, finally they called. The aeration could have been better. They did it only in one direction, not once over in one direction and once at a 90 degree angle to the first aeration. It was not very deep. The application of compost was very even and of a proper depth though the compost was not of the highest quality. The two men performing the job were friendly and professional. I would consider it a good, but not a great, job.

Signed up thru Angie's big deal offer to aerate our yard. Can't remember when exactly, but the work was done sometime during the spring of 2012, so the date of service given is a guesstimate on my part. They showed up on time, were courteous, and did a very thorough job, criss-crossing the yard a few times to ensure complete coverage.

They showed up on time and did the lawn. It was nice because I didn't have to be there for them to complete the job.

I have been using Emerald Lawns since 2007 or 2008 and have been pleased every time they have come out. I have seen the company grow and each Technician has been extremely professional and knowledgeable about lawn care. I would recommend emerald Lawns to anyone looking for reliable, affordable, and professional service with true customer service.

We have used Emerald Lawn care for lawn services since February, 2013. Our lawn had been damaged the previous summer due to a sprinkling system problem that resulted in the lawn not being watered for a month. Emerald gave us a quote for resodding a burned area and for regular lawn treatments. Although it turned out more prep work was needed for resodding than had been anticipated in their estimate, they honored their quoted price for the resodding work. We had some concerns about fungus damage in several areas and called them to have a technician look at the areas. Someone came right out and took care of the problem. We had weeds and sedge in several areas and they have eliminated those problems. Our lawn has never looked this good. They come regularly for lawn treatments and do not have to be reminded. They have always called ahead of a service to let us know someone is coming by, but they do not require anyone to be home for the service. We will continue to use their services.

It was fine. It was a very short service and I would recommend them to others. I would definitely give them another shot as they were on time.

It turned out fine. When I called them, they came out in a week. They are good. We would use them again.

The service went well and did improve the overall look of our lawn.

Their communication could have been a little bit better. When I called to schedule it they said they could call 2 days before they came out to let me know I could water the lawns to help with the aeration but I didn't receive a call. They did call me the 2nd time around but not the first time.

They came and performed the service and left(everything went fine) The listed cost on AngiesList was 49.00 but It cost 30.00 dollars extra because of the size difference in my lawn.

I guess that was okay. They kind of came and left before I even knew they were here. I saw him when they were leaving. The lawn looks pretty good as time went on, but we had pretty good rain and all our neighbors put as well. They are reputable outfit as far as I know. It is hard to prove it because I didn't see him do it and the grass looks good, the rest of the neighborhood looks cut too. They have lot of places to go and they really didn't tell you when they were coming for sure. I would possibly use them again.

My experience was fine. They were good and they left us a quote for what else we needed and they signed me up fr email services. They tried to sell me some other services but they weren't aggressive with it. They sent me a bill by mistake and I sent the man email and they took care of it immediately.

They were very friendly and frank about the work. I did not want to have them come out on a contractual basis.

I had purchased a Big Deal $25 for Fertilization and Weed Control. The service was fine and no complaints.

Had to reschedule couple of times because of rain and too dry grass. They did come and review it first and gave estimate on doing work beyond the coupon amount. Eventually I got the work done as per coupon only and the guy was quick and got things done in 30mins.

I contacted Emerald Lawns. They set up an appointment to see the yard, get measurements and offer services ... The representative arrived June 21st on time and surveyed the lawns... We then discussed the issues and the plans to fix them... At the end of this I decided that i just wanted to get the aeration and that my funding situation would not allow these services as I am retired... The Rep very professionally told me that they understood and to call them if I needed any of their services. The Rep said a tech would be out next week to perform the aeration. On the 23rd of June I received a call from the tech. He told me when he was going to be there and what to do prior (water the lawn the night before).. Today the 25 of June he arrived on time and completed the aeration... The receipt was left in the door. Everything went well

It was great. They were very prompt and thorough and told me other things that could help my lawn. They also had extra left over because I have a small front lawn. They took the extra and sprayed my garden path. Superior.

We have used their service for 5 years. We have a large yard and they treat the part of the yard that is closest to the house. It always amazes me how the weeds take over in the winter and after the first treatment in the spring we can see a quick improvement. Our Bermuda grass literally looks like carpet! Emerald Lawns does a great job and use Organic products so that our animals are safe to go out after the lawn is treated.

I purchased a big deal. I actually gifted it to my daughter, and she used it on her lawn. It was good. They of course said that they wanted to come every month, and so it was just like a one-time thing. We were kind of hoping that it was something that we would not do every month because she is young and does not have any money. She did not take them up on that and did further service with them because she just could not afford to do that. So, we were hoping that it was something that would kind of take care of the problem, but it is just really impossible to take care of the weeds and stuff in one shot. She still has problems with her weeds, but they were great. They came, did what they said they were going to do, and we were happy with them. We called them right away, and they came out right away after I purchased the big deal. I do not think there were any additional charges. There was just this real understanding that she would have had take the monthly service in order to really solve the problem. So, I guess my question is did it do any good to have them come out that one-time for weed control, and she still has weeds. It is like I do not know if did it any good or did we waste the $80 by having them come out and do this. It was probably like a reality check for her on what needs to have them get rid of the weeds. That would be my question. I do not know if it helps. Will there be more weeds if they had not come out. I cannot answer. I do not see her yard that much for one thing, and I am not following it as closely as she is. She lives pretty far from where I live. I do not go out there all that often. It seemed kind a more like a gimmick rather than just something that you are really going to find pretty useful. Like maybe, they should have said this is the first service that we will offer of a necessary six services or something like that. It may have made it easier to make that more clear upfront. I think I purchased another service for my other daughter, and she had her AC unit looked out, and now it is more I felt about a big deal. We do have our air conditioners and things like that looked at yearly, and it seemed cheaper. It did seem like a real deal. They did not try to sell us anything else. What was really going on was that they were trying to sell us a monthly service, but that should have been mentioned in the deal. That they should have said you will need a monthly service to control your weeds, or you will likely need a monthly service to control your weeds, but we will give you the first one for this price as opposed to we will control your weeds with this service. Maybe I should have known that or realized that. I knew that she would not be able to afford a monthly service. I was just hoping that the one shot would do more good than it did, but I know that they did try to sell her a monthly service so I am assuming that she would have needed that to really get that under control, and I know she still has weeds. So, just the wording of that was not quite as good as it should have been. I did not know exactly what I was getting. I hate to be unfair to them because I think it is more of a communication issue. They were prompt though.

I mentioned Angie's List and receptionist immediately offered a discount on aeration I don't believe I actually saw here. Was indeed difficult to get a hold of on first call and had to wait to get a call back to discuss and schedule. But crew was professional and prompt - almost TOO soon that I had to reschedule to have a chance to pre-water the lawn before aeration. They accommodated well. Would recommend!

The service that Emerald Lawns provided, didn't do anything for the weed that I had on my lawn although my lawn was mostly weed at that time. I am wondering whether I was too extreme a case for what they were promising, because some of it comes back and it is still weed and I didn't talk to them much about it but I figured 25 bucks was worth a shot so I may go back and revisit with them later this summer when I have more money. The guys were responsive. The work wasn't what I was expecting but I am not sure if I was overkill for what they were expecting to provide. It is like if you are trying to pull a semi trailer with a Toyota Prius, it is not going to work and that is where I am coming from.

John gave me a great price and, as always, I learned something new about taking care of my yard.
