Emerald Lawns

Great. Every time they come out they explain what they're doing that day and why. They also helped remove some thatch from my yard that allowed the grass to green up and fill in some spots. Overall they're very helpful and show a real concern for our yard's health.

Nice job with high quality equipment. Knowing that this is a biz dev proposal, I was not surprised to get recommendations for treatment of other lawn issues (I have many). I did take them up on this and am using them currently for lawn fertilization and disease control. My lawn has done reasonably well this summer as a result.

The fertilization went really well. We still have not been able to take of the stickers which is very frustrating. They are now all over our back yard. We were on a package where they come every 6 weeks or so, I do wish they would call before hand to let you know they were coming. But overall they were very friendly & helpful.

The provider was extremely knowledgable and even told us the most effective way for us to get grass to grow on our lawn. The weed control and Lunar soil treatment needed to be administered in two sessions and they came out exactly when they said they would in order to treat our lawn. The lawn seemed to fare much better throughout the summer than it has in prior years and we definitely noticed more grass growth and an overall improvement in lawn health.

These guys showed up earlier than planned - I had to run to the grocery store, and when I got home, they had already been to the house and finished the work, so I didn't actually see them performing it. I think core aeration must be a pretty quick process. So I didn't actually interact with any of the work crew. I did walk out in the yard and I could see the little plugs laying around where they ran the equipment.

I think it was pretty good. I've never had my lawn aerated before, so I have no point of comparison. But they came and they did it while I was at work, but the lawn seems good. They were nice and they still honored my coupon after it was expired. They came and they did it punctually. I don't remember getting any instructions that I need to water it and I do believe that the part of my lawn that isn't automatically watered, were killed because of the fertilization and not being watered.

The company and its crew were very easy to deal with. The price was fair. The aeration treatment itself didn't help our lawn's health as much as hoped, but was nonetheless worthwhile.

I have hesitated to rate this company because I feel that we have not used it long enough. We started treatments a little late in the season to have a fully effective result. Our large lawns are heavily wooded, and we and most of our neighbors are dealing with bare spots in our yards due mostly to the drought so this must be a consideration. In fairness to Emerald Lawns, I plan to continue the treatments through the winter and into next year to hopefully see a more lush lawn.

They came out when they said they would and provided the service.

Emerald Lawns went above and beyond in their care of our lawn just that one time that I decided to hire them for the full year. They are extremely detail oriented and respond within 12 hours to any question and provide the most positive and thorough feedback. I know my yard is in good hands and it frees me up to just enjoy tending to my other areas that I like to grow - the flowers and trees. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Emerald Lawn. Our yard was full of weeds and they cleaned it up quickly and the lawn is not much lusher and fuller and very green and soft to walk on! Thank you Emerald Lawn!

The actual work was fine. It was difficult to figure out exactly when they were coming. I understand that it was raining which is why they canceled the first time. That I understand but exactly when they were coming post the rain out was very unclear. Actual guy that did the work didn't seem to understand why I wanted to know when they were coming. Well sir I have a septic system and need to show you where it is vs where it is not. Understand if your job is to do Lawn Aeration then maybe not to concern about peoples schedule. Wish could have dealt with the main office the entire time instead of the guy doing the actual work.

They would call the day before to let me know they were coming and always showed up. I had an issue with a few areas in my yard having weeds despite treatment - they came out right away and retreated.

I purchased a Big Deal for $49, for lawn aeration by Emerald Lawns. When I called to set up the appointment, the man who answered the phone was courteous and professional. We set a date for the aeration and he gave me instructions on watering the lawn so that the aeration would be as effective as possible. Unfortunately it rained heavily on the day before the appointment. On the day of the appointment, he called to suggest we reschedule the aeration as the lawn was so wet he was afraid the equipment would leave muddy ruts in my yard. We rescheduled for the following week and the service was performed as planned. My lawn appears healthier and more lush. I would definitely hire Emerald Lawns for other lawn care services.

The treatments for fertilizing the grass have gone pretty good, but any weed removal is minimal at best. They said there wasn't much they could do without killing the existing grass and that the new grass would choke out the weeds. It hasn't happened after 3 treatments.

They told us about a package of 4-5 treatments a year, but we thought that was very excessive and opted for a more conservative and environmentally friendly approach. Not sure how helpful just one treatment was, as we needed a lot more weed control after their treatment.

The lawn care was very good. Knowledgeable and professional. The problem was their administrative processes. I had to call them to get an invoice, they still didn't send it. Then, they sent me a past due notice! When I called to talked to them about, she gave me lecture about paying my invoices and that they ALWAYS leave an invoice attached to the door. Believe me, they do not . . .

We were very, very disappointed in the service we received. We were impressed with the sales rep, she was professional and seemed to be knowledgeable about the offered services and so we were surprised by how the services turned out. Below is the reason for our ratings: 1. We explicitly asked to be contacted ahead out time so that someone could be at the house while the service was being performed. Not only were we not contacted (our number had been written down incorrectly-which happens), but the technician left the service ticket, as though the service had been completed ; which it had not, since we had not unlocked our back gate (only the front yard had been done)! 2. We complained to the sales rep and she was helpful & polite and arranged for the service to be completed. The second time around, we were notified days ahead of time, but the technician made no attempt to let his presence known and managed to enter into our back yard without notifying us. After the aeration service was completed, we noted that the technician had punctured multiple holes and scraped the above ground roots of our large Live Oak and Ash trees! -These were not hidden roots -these were very obvious above-the-ground roots. Although there was ample yard space to avoid these roots -it was obvious that the person doing the actual work had a complete disregard of the trees. 3. The additional lawn service we purchased did not go as planned either. When we met with the sales rep she stated that they would be applying a specific pre-emergent lawn product and spot treat for weeds. When we looked over the sales ticket after the first service visit was performed, we noticed that the pre-emergent service had not been checked off. We called to asked about this and were informed that based on our type of grass, this pre-emergent was not recommended during this time of year. At this point we decided to cancel our lawn service purchase. The sale rep did call us back and offered to perform the service (even though it was not recommended at this time of year!) at a discounted rate.

We had purchased a big deal for the service and it was fine. We were very pleased with it. We had paid more because our lawn was larger than what their big deal had indicated, but it was not a large amount, and we decided it was well worth it.
