Emerald Lawns

I was never contacted to set up an appointment. So, there was never any work done and I never used them.

No problems, they were responsive, good customer service, and did what they were supposed to do. I would use them again.

Painted the master bath. Looks great.

Providing annual lawn fertilization treatments. Comes by every so often and applies treatments to lawns. Not here long but lawn looks green with no weeds.

It was okay but not great. It was overpriced for what I got. Someone came who actually didn't do the work. It was sort of like a fellow who came in advance and discussed what he was going to do and then he sent a crew back to do what they did and I wasn't there when the crew was there. The work they did was okay. They left behind a muddy sidewalk in front of my house. They came out within a week.

The service was top-notch! I first received an email that they would call within 2 days of purchase to make an appointment to come out and measure the yard. I then received a phone call to set up an appointment to come out to aerate the lawn. Within the next two days they had come out for a lawn evaluation (measurements) as expected.

Took a couple calls to line up the treatment...they came & went, and I couldn't tell that they did anything. I wouldn't bother to use them again.

It was good. It's the first time that used them and nothing really stands out.

I purchased a big deal for this company. That was real good. They showed up when they were supposed to, walked around the yard, looked like they did what they were supposed to.

The guy came on time and was fine. He missed one patch of the lawn.

After the work was performed I inspected the coverage of the aeration. I was impressed with the attention to detail and coverage.

The guy showed up after giving me a heads up call. Much appreciated. Did a good job where I specified. Was prompt and efficient. I was pleased with the results.

They contacted me quickly and came out to do an estimate within a day or two. When we talked, they were eager to sell me a lawn maintenance package, which bought - but then it took another 2 - 3 weeks to simply aerate my lawn, which was my original purchase!

First, let me say that I couldn't be happier with the company, the service and the price. It cost $49 to have my entire yard (front and back) aerated - which is on a par with what it would cost me to rent the equipment so that I could do it myself. What a deal!! The folks at Emerald lawns were very friendly, courteous, polite and punctual from the person who answered the phones, to the sales representative who made the initial visit, to the workman who actually did the job. If having yard work done can be a pleasant experience, this was it. After I bought the Big Deal on a Friday I was contacted the following Monday to arrange an initial visit to assess the property. He arrived at the appointed time, checked out the lot and gave me some instructions for me to prepare for the work to be done, which included: - Mark all sprinkler heads with flags (which I bought at Lowes for around $5) - Water the lawn the night before for about 20 minutes if it hadn't rained recently. I was pleased to find out that there would be no additional upcharges for things like additional square footage (he said I fell in the size requirements for the Big Deal), or obstacles (I have plenty of trees to go around). He also went over the other services that his company offered, but said that my lawn was in good shape. I decided to continue to fertilize myself, but would not hesitate to call them if I thought I needed supplemental service. The work was originally scheduled to be done the following Tuesday. As it turned out I had to reschedule that appointment, but they were happy to help me out. The workman arrived at the (re)appointed time and unloaded the equipment. I showed him the areas to be worked on and he immediately got to it and was finished in an efficient manner. He did a thorough job of going over every square foot of lawn. When he was finished, he handed me the receipt, wished me a pleasant day and was gone. This is the first time my lawn has been aerated while I have owned the property (since 1982). It was long overdue. I had read articles and seen on TV (Ask This Old House) that the yard should be aerated at least once a year (Emerald recommended twice a year). It has not been long enough to see if it makes a visible difference (aside from the small dirt plugs all over the lawn...), but I expect that it will. I plan to add it to my lawn regimen on a regular basis, and will definitely check with Emerald Lawns the next time I need this, or other, lawn service - especially if they have another Big Deal!

super company. responsive, professional and effective. we used EL at our previous house, so when we moved into a foreclosure that had been empty for over a year, we transferred the service over. we pre-paid for a yearly plan to get a discount, and Luke's team did the rest. within 2 years our yard went from weeds and dead to one of the best lawns in the neighborhood. honestly, I told Luke I need to cut back on his service next year because the grass grows too fast and is too thick. it needs too much mowing! you can't go wrong with Emerald Lawns.

They called and left a message the day before they came out so that we were ready. They were both courteous and efficient. We've used them a few times in the past and we've never been disappointed.

This company was actually very top-notch. I was quite impressed. They were easy to reach and communicated very well. I had them come out to aerate our lawn and they addressed every square foot of it! I was anticipating some missed areas but they were very thorough. I even had a slight issue with an area of the lawn that didn't indicate aeration after a torrential rain and they rectified immediately. They came out again and addressed the issue perfectly. I highly recommend their services and I'll probably sign up for their weed treatment service because of the positive experience I had with aeration. Solid company!

Emerald Lawns was professional and very communicative while we were initially trying to schedule an appointment. Jennifer and Russel were patient and always called to keep me updated and confirm our appointment. I was limited in the days I could take off from work in order to unlock a gate and to point out a cable line in the yard. Then the appointment had to be rescheduled because of rain and yet they worked with me because of my schedule. They certainly put the customer first even though I'm sure it meant that they had to rearrange their schedule. When Russel came out to perform the work, he took the time to answer my questions and to walk through the yard so I could show him the location of the utility lines, including cable. It took him an hour to do four sections of the yard and was careful around the areas we discussed, including around the trees. After he was finished, he cleaned up the areas with a blower where a little dirt had been tracked. Russel had given me an invoice for my records and I confirmed with Ashley that the service had been paid via an Angie's List Bid Deal offer. Great job, quick, nice employees, and a great value. I will certainly have Emerald Lawns perform this service again.

They were punctual as always. I love this company. This is the second year that I have used Emerald Lawn and I can not express how happy I am with them. My yard is beautiful and I pass their name on to everyone I can. Great customer service is not always easy to find and they are wonderful.

Lawn techs are professional, do a thorough job, and adhere to the lawn program schedule. They always let me know when they arrived and when finished leave a summary in the door of what was done. They also take time to answer my questions and concerns and stand behind their service. One reason I am using this company is that they use granular and not liquid fertilizer. My lawn is looking good and weeds are under control.

He came over, analyzed lawn and square footage, then told me someone would call the following week 2 days prior so that I could apply heavy water to lawn before they came. Overall it was a straightforward transaction, the guys were professional and friendly, may use them in the future for fertilizing.

The staff was professional, kind, and took the time to answer all my questions.

They called and set up the appointment, showed up as scheduled and did a thorough professional job.

Lousy, first they make an appointment to come out to give you a sales pitch about all their products, this took about an hour of my time. Then they say they'll call in 2 to 3 weeks to set an appointment for the service I originally bought from the pre-paid service deal offered by Angie's List. When they called a couple of weeks later to set the appointment for the aeration, they informed me that I would need to have the entire lawn deeply watered before they arrive so their machine could aerate properly. In July's heat, it's hard to deeply water an entire lawn in a small window of time. I worked hard at doing this but their machine still did not pull out deep plugs of the lawn. I was told that the plugs would be 5 - 6 inches in length. The plugs of lawn that were scattered around my yard were only 2 - 3 inches in length. My impression is that the company was unhappy because I didn't buy additional services from them during the sales pitch. Needless to say, I will not use them again. Beware of purchasing pre-paid specials because it may turn out to be a ploy to force you into a lenghty sales pitch.

Went very well. They were on time and got the job done right.
