Emerald Lawns

Hired the company to perform top cover and lawn aeration. My lawn didn't do well over the winter after having a fantastic lawn last year. They said we can do the aeration and top coat, and perform weed ban and fertilizer. The the technician showed up, he did a high nitrogen fertilizer and weed ban which did nothing. I told him I wanted the aeration and top coat first, the lawn is stressed. He argued with me, and I said OK. The treatment did nothing. He came back to treat the weeds after I complained, which killed parts of the grass and plants. I said for the 100th time, you need to aerate first and top cover. They could never give me a date for the aeration and top coat, and now the lawn is damaged, and needs to new sod. I have a new service coming out next week to repair the damage. Never had a worst experience for lawn care.

I have used Emerald Lawns for 10+ years. They handle the fertilization of my lawn, shrubs and even treat for fire ants. My yard looks fantastic. I have Saint Augustine grass and used to have brown patch problems. Once Emerald Lawns started treating my yard, I almost never have brown patch. Before Emerald Lawns, I had brown patch all over my yard. Service calls are free with regular treatments. All of their technicians are very knowledgeable and friendly. That make you feel like you matter as a customer. Emerald Lawns knows the right products to put down at the right time. Their treatment plans are surprisingly affordable and offer prepayment discounts as well.

I have used Emerald for years and have found them consistently responsive to any requests that I have had. it took a while —I’ve had issues with fungus—but my yard has never looked better. I have a dog and their using organic products is a must for me.

I am so Blessed-this was one of those more than you bargained for deals. The sprinkler service went to a different Company as did the mowing, because Emerald Lawns does not provide those services. However what they do is wonderful! They will walk your property with you and give you the good, the bad and the in between of what they can do to help bring your lawn into the best shape ever. There pricing and variety of plans meet every need I can imagine. I am only into the the Service a few months, but so far, everything they promised and said would happen has come to fruition. I highly recommend, these folks both professionally and also personally...They make you feel important and their concerns for your lawn and budget are genuine. It was very good. The price was good. The grass turned a lot greener and it is much healthier now.

They go out of their way to inform me of their findings and recommendations.

The information note left at my door has always given the product used and if pets &/or children should be kept off lawn - very important to me. Also I need to know if the product is organic - very important to me. I have had a recent problem with their payment system on-line. The new method will not receive direct e-checks from my bank - as in the past. Ended up paying a bill twice as my statement shows they received both e-check and on-line direct account check. Having a very difficult time trying to get it resolved. Not had this problem before so I assume it will be taken care of. Otherwise very happy with Emerald Lawns.

Very well . Had to wait a couple of weeks for treatment only because treatment that was being applied needed certain timing of the year.

I received a communication from a representative who told me that there wasn't anything they could do to help my yard. I found that shocking, but also profoundly revealing. With that revelation I suggested they forgive my balance and cancel my services, considering they've determined my yard beyond help. They insulted me by offering a new contract where I'd get a forgiveness of my current balance, 50% off on aeration and only $2 off per application that was already determined to not be effective. I was offended by that response.

The actual yard service is good but not great. The office is terrible. I don't know how they stay in business. They offer to let you pay on line over the internet. I tried five times and their system would not let mu do it. Each time I called I was given a different excuse. First their system was down. They said they would check and call me back. They didn't. When I called again, they said they had installed a new system and that I had to fill out a new application. When I tried, it wouldn't accept it because I was already had an account. When I tried to log in, the system wouldn't let me. They said they would check and call me back. They didn't. When I called again they said to enter the house number but not the street name. That didn't work either. They said they would check and call me back. They didn't. I went through this five times. Then I received a notice that my account was overdue and my services had been stopped. Are you kidding me? I have sent them the payment but no more.

I can always count on these folks to be on time. They even call the day before coming out to do an application. Great Work!

Reliable and cost competitive. I still use them and would recommend.

This is the third year using Emerald Lawns. In the beginning they did a great job. Last year our lawn began turning brown and was much thinner, and the technicians started treating it for a fungus due to the rains. It continued to look bad, but we were told the fungus was dead and it would take time to recover. Well, after two treatments this year, it continued to look bad, so we asked them to send someone out. A week ago, Aaron came out to look it over, the next morning he called and said we have a different fungus and they would have someone come out and treat it. We haven't heard or seen from them since! It is unacceptable, especially since we have pre-paid for their services for the year!

So far, the weed control has worked great after only the first two treatments. We just had the topdressing and aeration done, and all went well.

My lawn and trees responded well to the treatments, but there was some miscommunication about treating the backyard also. I spoke to someone and thought it was resolved, but I don't believe the backyard was being treated. The technician would arrive early in the morning and leave a note on the door of services. Very good service.

Excellent work. We have decided to have additional treatments completed through the year.

I was referred to Emerald Lawn services by another company who I had hired from Angie's list to repair my irrigation system. The gentleman from the other comapny arrived on time, fixed and adjusted my sprinkler system, was knowledgeable and courteous so I decided to take his suggestion and requested an estimate from Emerald Lawn services. I was called the next day and an appointment was set up for the following day by Mr. Sonny Adams. I left work a bit early to get home by five pm. Needless to say, Mr. Adams did not show up or call. When I called him Mr. Adams remarked that the appointment was made for "after 5 p.m." This despite the fact that the phone call I made to reach him was made several minutes after six pm. Mr. Adams explained he was held up at work, therefore, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. We set up another appointment for the following day after 5 pm. The next day I was again left waiting. I waited till 7 pm. Mr. Adams did not show up or call. I called back at 6:15pm and left a message for him to call to confirm our appointment, but Mr. Adams never called. Apparently, Mr. Adams does not respect other people's time. Given my negative initial interaction with this employee from Emerald Lawn services I will NOT use and will NOT recommend this company to anyone. Disgruntled customer.

Based on the good reviews, we contacted Emerald Lawns. They came out within a few days to give a quote. They assessed the yard, then left a quote on our front door. We called and finally were routed to the correct person and said we accept the prcing and wanted treatment right away. It was Tuesday and confirmed that treatment would be done Friday. Nobody showed up Friday and nobody showed up for another 7 days. After 7 days a guy showed up from Emerald, got out of his truck looked at our yard for 2 mins then got back in his truck and drove off (I work from home, so saw him) Nothing done. We called and they blamed it on not having the neighborhood gate code, even thought the gate is open during the days and the guy was at our house and left. After this lie, we immediately called and cancelled. I strongly recommended not using this company. They clearly have service issues.

Just a few days after my comments, Chris, an Emerald Lawns Customer Resolution Manager, showed up at my door and we visited for ten or fifteen minutes about options I had to deal with the problem spots. I quite appreciate the attention and help.

The initial meeting with the sales rep went fine but I was disappointed with the follow-up communication on some various details between the service technician, the sales rep, and myself. When they followed up with a customer satisfaction survey I let them know of my dissatisfaction and a supervisor contacted me and communication has been better since then. I decided to continue the service at least through next spring before making a final judgment as to whether to continue long-term.

Super disappointed in this company. I have used their service for an entire year, and although my lawn seemed healthy, it was never really that green of a lawn. I called to list my concern, and someone came out to look. I was told that the reason my lawn wasn't green wasn't because of them, but because of my lawn mowing service cutting it a 1/2 inch taller than it should be. I am sorry, but isn't that the whole reason Im paying for your service? It should be green regardless (I did water my lawn, so they can't blame that part on me). Was super disappointed in their reason for it not looking how it should. So then I started getting a lot of calls to add on more services of which I consistently said, not sure if Im going to continue to use your service, and they were like okay fine, but we have this available if you want. The final nail in the coffin was when I received my renewal agreement and I emailed them back stating I was still thinking about it because my lawn wasn't really that green. The email I got back was because its now dormant (which I know). I am not going to use them again because: 1. they never addressed my initial concern and then tried to upset me 2. they must think I am not very smart by how they talk to me.

It went well, he was prompt and got the job done very quickly.

Poorly. Bad Customer Service. Could not resolve a simple issue of a locked back yard fence, by either calling or notifying the customer of the issue. Customer was totally unaware of the issue and instead of apologizing for the mix up they dropped my account. I did not have this issue with the previous Tech, he would just knocked at the front door. I guess they do not value their customers after all!

Diane went to the home and provided an estimate for services based in the condition of the lawn. There is no contract and they offer a military discount.
