As early as March, 2014, the 12ft x 12ft section where JD Williams laid new asphalt began to peel off.. that is, the newly laid asphalt began to crack and peel apart into pieces. I have been asking JD to come back and repair this section...that is, to stand behind the quality of his work. I have an email trail from March 2014 to December, 2014, asking him to come over and repair. JD kept promising to come and fix his work...but obviously, after 10+ months of chasing after him, he's not a man of his word and will not stand behind his work. I strongly do NOT recommend JD Williams nor his company for any work.

After first contacting JD to complete services on our driveway, he required half of the money down as a deposit, prior to starting any services. I made a special trip to drive all the way up to his house to drop of a deposit check. Once he had the money, it took two months for him to come to our house to prep our driveway. He came to the house to prep the driveway, blowing off debris, and adding some base for the small areas in which we were adding some asphalt. He was hear for about 4-5 hours. I didn't hear back from JD for two months, stating he had a bunch of other jobs to get done and the weather would prevent him from doing further work on the driveway. Four months after initially contacting JD to complete the work on our driveway, JD came out to complete the job. JD gave me a 24 hour notice indicating he would be coming by to complete the job and to get the rest of his money. Several weeks earlier, JD informed me that his original estimate was for a "cash" service, and that he would be required to charge me additional money if I wanted to write him a check. Nowhere on his original estimate was there notification that he required cash only. So, 24 hours notice, JD indicated he needed several thousand dollars in cash to complete services. JD completed the work, he was at our house for about 6 hours, which was very subpar. Pieces of our driveway continue to come up, grass is growing through the asphalt he laid. The biggest issue I have is when he laid asphalt over one of our sprinkler heads in our front yard. I sent him pictures of the water coming up from underneath the asphalt, requesting a suggestion on a repair. I've had zero contact from him. He has no intention of fixing any of his mistakes. I've had a terrible experience with this contractor. I wouldn't recommend his services to anyone, ever. He worked on our house for about a total of 10 hours, and charged us 4000 dollars. He indicated the "real" cost would have been 4800$, but he was giving me a "discount". Poor communication, horribly overpriced, and awful workmanship.

It never got going because they never provided a formal bid.

tHE JOB WENT WELL AND SMOOTH.

Went very well and in the reasonable time frame specified. 375 feet of driveway was patched with asphalt and sealed with 2 coats of sealer. Neatly done and with a minimum of disruption to our schedule. Looks very good and should last several years (10 according to JD). Quite satisfied with the materials used, careful labor and respect for property. I would recommend JD and his crew without reservation.

Work started on the day promised and completed as agreed. The crew was personable and professional even in 100 + degree Texas heat!
