I had an appointment on my calendar for today at 11 with Phil. No call, no text, no email, no show. I understand that sometimes things change, but no show/no contact is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.

We are extremely pleased with the exterior painting and woodwork remediation that Carnival did for us. Very good quality both in craftsmanship of the woodwork and in the painting. They were very attentive to our comments, questions and concerns. Bruce Beltran was especially professional. We will definitely recommend them to anyone that asks.

After meeting with and obtaining quotes from multiple painting companies, we selected Carnival Custom Painting and they proved to be the best choice from start to finish. We had the interior walls of our house painted, as well as our kitchen cabinets. My husband and I absolutely love the suggested color and the outcome of Carnival's work. We never got past the quote stage. I asked if it needed 2 coats and he said it was up to me. I am hiring a pro to tell me what is best and then he decided to leave stating I was rude. This man does not need to be interfacing with customers with an attitude such as this. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Everything went smoothly and I was very satisfied with the job. I have used Carnival Painting before. The brothers who give you the estimate are very knowledgeable. The crew is professional, efficient, and did a good job.

I got a message from Brian at Carnival stating "Unfortunately, this would be too small of a project for us. We have 3-4 man crews. Since he never bothered to get any details or even speak to me, what he didn't know was that we are starting with this smaller project to see how it went before we continued to have the entire rest of our home redone. That project includes all trim, ceilings and cabinets in kitchen and the other bathroom. A lot more work. We want to make sure whoever we pick to do the interior remodel did quality work. If you want customer service I would look elsewhere. Seems like this company is more interested in up front payouts. They must be booked out for months with this attitude.

It went quite well. Bruce Beltran, who did the estimate and came by several times to see that all was going well, was very obviously interested in seeing that we were happy with Carnival's work. I felt that the work done was excellent (and in one instance, it went better than even Bruce expected); Carnival seems to have a highly competent and professional crew. We are quite happy with the work.

We have a Texas-sized house that needed long-deferred painting. The crew worked amazingly hard to get everything done and very reasonable cost. They are highly efficient professionals and they know what they're doing. I'd recommend Carnival Custom Painting highly!

Very professional. My wife and I just bought a house that had been mostly updated but still needed painting and some new flooring. We were on a tight schedule and everything depended upon the painting being done first. Bruce helped us with the color selection and the no V.O.C. paint we wanted, then set up a schedule. Bruce and his crew did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Would recommend to family and friends. Great job!!

Carnival Painting did an excellent job. The team was always on time and stayed until they got the job done. They were very detail-oriented and did a good job prepping and cleaning up. I would definitely recommend them and will use them if I need painting done again.

Crew arrived on schedule and worked around our families schedule. They were very through and made every effort to avoid impacting our landscaping. Our house looks better than it did the day we bought it.

After getting 3 bids from local vendors, Carnival seemed to be the most responsible vendor—they showed up on time for the estimate, presented a prompt estimate, and appeared on the day and time to do the work. Carnival, like most vendors, use independent crews and pay them by the job. The preparation and painting went well with one exception: the cleanup! I handed the crew leader a broom, dust pan, and bucket to clean up their debris on front and back patios. Then, I spotted one crew member washing his painting tools over the river rock covering my heritage live oak tree! I put a stop to their cleanup mess over my landscape and demanded they clean up their brushes and tools elsewhere. Two weeks later, several dead patches of St. Augustine turf emerged in the cleanup zone. On close inspection, I found matted clumps of exterior house paint in the dead turf. Turf was dead down to the root zone and required amended top soil fill. It will be months before this turf regenerates from surrounding healthy stolons. I contacted Brian Beltran, the local Carnival owner/operator, regarding the cleanup mess and the dead turf. I suggested that he personally set up a time with me to examine the damage to my landscape and inspect the exterior repaint effort. During our meeting, Brian casually stated that it is Carnival's practice to wash painting tools on-site and dump the diluted wash water over the landscape. He continued to say that the crew failed to dilute the paint before dumping it over my turf! Digging his hole deeper, he claimed that diluted latex paint is, after all, non-toxic. What hubris! As a seasoned chemist, I checked in with the American Coatings Association position on disposal of latex paint washings. They recommend that all painting tools and brushes be washed in a sink and not near a storm sewer drain. Dumping latex paint washings over your landscape leads to diluted latex paint into our ground water. Then, it's headed toward the storm sewer and into our lakes and streams. The crew's careless cleanup, damage to my landscape along with Brian's arrogant and dismissive attitude all reflect negatively on Carnival Custom Painting! When selecting a house painter be sure to outline your expectations from start to finish, including the cleanup. Then, monitor them closely and hold them accountable for their work!

We have a very large pitched-roof pergola that needed to be powerwashed and re-stained. We also wanted our outside bar and TV cabinet painted. Long story short, I received a call from Carnival almost immediately after submitting my listing. I received three quotes from different companies, including one that had painted the entire inside of our house. Carnival was by far the least expensive, and based upon the reviews, we went with them. They were super professional, showed up when they said they would, and management even stopped by several times to make sure the project was going according to plan. We are very happy with the results and frankly I won't hesitate to use Carnival again for the next project. Best price, great service, you just can't go wrong with them.

Bruce came in to give us a bid and they came in equal with another contractor. We chose Carnival over the other company because of their attention to detail and willingness to make our scheduling needs. They also offered a better warranty and provided a great detailed explanation on how the work will proceed. His team lead, Benny was very user friendly and the team was on time and very clean and thorough. After the work was done they came back to touch up and corrected anything we noticed wrong. Exceptional service and customer service!

It was a wonderful experience from estimation to the payment. The estimator and co-owner, Bruce, showed up on time. The same day I received the quote. Their price was very competitive. The painters were very professional. They showed up exactly at 8:30 AM as I was told, worked until the dusk. Next day they showed up exactly at 8:30 AM and completed in the evening. They caulked and fixed every hairline cracks. Covered each and everything with painters tape, plastic wraps and blankets. Painted every paintable area - including, garage door, entry door, patio door, gutters and downspout. Never noticed any spills. Finished to the perfection.

Really great experience with Carnival Painting! They were very thorough. Power washed; replaced damaged trim around house and chimney; caulked; repainted trim, flashings, and front porch railing; and sanded and stained our front door. The final result is stunning. The owners and crew are very professional—showed up on time and worked diligently. The final price was true to the estimate. Unquestionably, we would recommend them and look forward to using them again on future projects.

I was contacted by Phil Lewis for the quote. The quote process was quick and Phil responded to my questions at the end of each day. I got 3 quotes, and Carnival wasn't the cheapest, but I was concerned about potential extra costs if the change in color we wanted required a second coat. The cheapest bid wouldn't commit to a 1 coat cover leaving me thinking that there may be extra costs. Phil was confident that we would only need 1 coat. There wasn't much surface being painted, but we had some rotten fascia and soffits that needed replacing, plus the 1 x 4's at the corner of the chimney. We also had the driveway and back pad pressure washed. We were able to schedule the work within a couple of days of the quote being accepted, and the crew showed up at 9am on the first day, led by Edgar. All the guys worked hard, and Edgar responded to my questions as I brought them up each day. Phil visited each day of the project to make sure everything was going well. Each night, the guys cleaned up so that everything was tidy, and they showed up on time every day too. It was expected to be a 2 day project, but there was a rain-storm on the afternoon of day 2, so the guys had to come back for a third day to complete the project. I had walked around the house before the crew arrived on day 3 and put together a list of 15+ items that still needed attention. When Phil arrived, I went over the list with him, but his guys had already addressed most of them. I was very satisfied with the work. The house looks great - the new color really works well. Phil was professional and the crew were punctual, hard-working and kept a clean work site. I'd definitely use them again.

All the painting looks great, an excellent job. The were punctual, courteous, answered all my questions, and cleaned up after the work was completed. I think the cost was very fair considering all the prep work and quality of the finished product.

Superb! Carnival was able to complete my job the same week I was quoted (early Dec) in the time promised and with excellent quality. 2 coats of paint on all surfaces. They taped all baseboards, removed blinds including brackets also curtain rods and covered sills. They filled all nail holes in walls. I am extremely pleased with the work done. I did not get a second quote so not sure how their price compares to others, went totally off of other Angie's List reviews and I am glad I did not wait but hired them right away.
