Description of Work: Repaired sheet rock damage and painted garage, hallway, walk in closet and one wall of master bath. Repaired and painted damaged interior door to garage and had a sub contractor install wood floor in walk in closet. | |The quality of the work was fair to good. Painting crew needed more supervision and training. They would make poor choices (like spending hours taping off around electrical outlets rather than just removing the plates), lose items, and sometimes be sloppy with paint that someone would have to follow up and fix. Which is why I gave the quality of the work a "B" (really a B+, but the floor in the closet is an A+ - love the floor). | |These issues are typical in remodeling and construction, so it didn't surprise me much. My biggest beef was the scheduling. This was a job that was first estimated to take 3 days or so. It was over a month before it was all done. Granted bad weather in October had screwed up schedules and got them behind. But this was known at the time I was taking bids and should have been factored in. The biggest offense was I would be told a crew would be there on a particular day, but then not show up for being stuck at another job, with nobody contacting me to tell me this, causing me to waste a lot of days sitting waiting for a crew to show up that never comes. Mr Blaker did realize the issues and discounted the final payment to make amends for the poor experience. I do appreciate Mr Blaker taking ownership for the problems and trying to make it right. However, at this point in time, I'm not sure I would use him again without going through a competitive bid process again.

Description of Work: Repair and restore back porch patio deck. Replaced old and damaged boards, reinforced support beams, and replaced boards that had been infected by termites. Power washed, stained porch, cleaned all debris, and ensured we were satisfied. Follow up to correct some problems did take several calls to the office before the workers came and corrected the problem.

Description of Work: The quality of service is very good, however, due to rain delays the project has taken a lot longer than anticipated. We have new siding and masonary work. The outside of our house looks better than it ever has.

Description of Work: Repaired wood damage and siding repair on exterior of the house and then painted the outside. They also rebuilt under our kitchen sink due to a leak and replaced the sink as well. As far as the price I hope it was comparable for the work but we really didn't get a chance to do comparison shopping because the other person we contacted never followed up. However Blaker Restorations was responsive and came back to do some touch up work afterward to finalize the contract. The job with the sink was great as well. We will be using them for other work in the future, it just didn't fit our budget to do the work now.
