My project is quite unique. I have 2 flat roof decks that are built on top living area. The substrate is 2+ inch concrete slab with tiles on the top and handrails around the decks. But the decks leak along the parameters directly underneath of handrail. I called Alex in middle of Oct for 2 leaking roof repair. He quickly arraigned a trip to my house. After looked my roof structure he suggested to remove the one side of the handrail to find out the root cause and damage. I asked him the cost and he generously offered it free of charge. The 2nd day he brought 2 workers completed the job and revealed problems. Then he covered the open area with some waterproofing material to avoid further damage. In the following weekend he brought the material and presented his fix solution. This helped me to understand better. I'm currently waiting for other contractors' proposals. I have not decided which solution to go yet. Based on my experiences with Alex I have no hesitation to recommend Blaker Restorations and Remodeling, INC to you. He is very responsive, professional, doing things quickly, and detail oriented. In fact I would like Alex to look at another project: the handrail of the entryway, before I finalize the roof decision. I will update more for how things going of my projects later on.

Blaker came in and painted every area with perfection. The covered our contents well and manipulated the furnishings in each room. There is not one paint line out of place or one drop of paint in a wrong place. The paint job is perfect in each area. On top of this, their bid was less than several others , so this was not a cut corner company low bidding and doing ok work. This was a great priced company who took the time to ensure everything was just as it was prior and the finished product was exactly as requested. I will be using them to do more things in my home!

The staff was very efficient, clean and hard working. Alex stops by to make sure everything is to our satisfaction. When we contacted him about the chimney he explained in full detail and with pictures the work they would be doing to get the chimney fixed and why it needed to be rebuilt. Alex carries through on all he promises. They have done excellent work in both instances and we will definitely hire Alex and his team again in the future.

Alex and his team were very pleasant to work with. Alex was consistently checking in to make sure we were satisfied with their work. They were very clean and performed quality work. We are extremely happy with the outcome of the projects and will absolutely use them again in the future.

After having several estimates we were introduced to Blaker Restorations.? We were impressed by the prompt estimate from Mr. Blaker (Alex) and checking Angie?s List found their rating was great.? A+ Alex is?great to work with and he diligently searched for tiles to match the splash?backs in our kitchen.? The workmanship is outstanding, the workers are polite and cleanup was thorough. We highly recommend this company.? We will?be calling Alex again for future improvements.

Alex Blaker is very responsive and ha e basically made a new friend. I will use him again. He replaced all the siding on the house with Hardiplank and did a wonderful job. He was very responsive to some concerns and immediately took care of any issues that came up, i.e., the paint for the doors were not the same as the sample and he agreed and took the paint back and had them correct the color. He is currently having a new drawer made for my vanity area that I have asked my husband to have made for my birthday for years. My birthday is coming up and I hope to have it in at that time. I hired Blaker Restorations to replace the siding on my house. While they were not the least expensive, I chose them because Alex took the time to walk me through the process outlining step-by-step how they would go about it. He had pictures of each step of the process and stressed the quality of the work and their care in the finished product as well as in preserving my landscaping. Alex was frequently on the job site and immediately addressed any concerns I had. He even took the time to walk through the paint selection with me when I was stressing about such a huge decision. If ever there was anything done that was not to my satisfaction, he had it redone until it met my approval. He even added a couple of small jobs like installing a new front door and shutters. My house turned out beautifully. I am very pleased with the work done by Blaker Restoration and would highly recommend them.

They are still working on it. They show up on time. They don't leave the area clean.

Remodeling can be a very stressful process. I had an unfortunate experience with a shower replaced by a big box store's contractor so I put off my kitchen project until I felt I had the emotional strength to do it. But I shouldn't have worried. Alex is a very hands-on contractor. Once the supplies were all in and the job was started, he was always available to answer any questions and take care of any problems. His crews are all very experienced, capable and polite. They are perfectionists at what they do. I felt the price was quite reasonable and Alex did not quibble over costs. The electrician upgraded the lights, which I authorized, but Alex didn't charge me for the extra expense. The best thing about Alex was that his main concern was to make me happy. A couple of times there were glitches that I said I could live with. But he told me I shouldn't have to just live with anything. So he took care of everything until I was 100% satisfied. And I am. I have a beautiful new kitchen. I love it! I highly recommend Alex and his "boys."

We signed a contract on 2/17/2015. The gutter company representative came out about 10 days later and measured. He stated we were on the list for the next two weeks. Fast forward to two months later with no word from Alex Blaker and no written bid for the fence we needed replaced. After calling and stating that we wanted our almost $3,000 deposit returned he was prompt to get us on the schedule. However, we didn't think it professional that the gutter company was not allowed to finish the job . We canceled that portion of the project. Good customer service would dictate that due to the delay of two months and lack of communication, you would think he would have said no problem, thank you for the business. No, instead he came back and asked for an additional $800.00 along with tax. I have since been told that contractor services are not taxable. Mr. Blaker is never onsite while work is being done. He is only a contractor and a high priced one at that. We are having considerable work done on our first floor due to a water leak. The contractor in charge of that project is here every day with his crew overseeing, cutting in paint, helping install cabinets, installing appliances, etc. This is exactly what you would expect from a reputable contractor.

The job was a big task in my opinion but Alex made it look easy. Any questions I had were met with a quick response. Any minor issues or small problems I saw with workmanship were addressed immediately by Mr. Blaker and his crew. Most of the issues were my lack of patience. In the end the job came out beautiful and my home looks like new again. Paint job is beautiful. His crews do great work and address any concerns without question. The customer is always right with Alex Blaker and I would use him again if needed.

Mr. Blaker was prompt in meeting with me. He listened and understood my remodeling needs. His bid was very reasonable and accommodating my to the scope of my project. After meeting with several other contractors, Mr. Blaker is my number one choice.

It looks awesome and the quality and attentiveness to details was excellent!

Repairs were more extensive than originally thought, but price did not increase. Painters thoroughly re-caulked and power washed exterior before painting. Excellent job painting siding, trim and staining front steps. Home looks brand new.

When he was at my home on the 4/9/14, I gave him a check for $6,982, which was half of the estimate. I told him not to cash the check until Monday, April 14, 2014. He cashed my check as soon as he left my house. I have tried to call him numerous times and all I get is a recording saying he can't come to the phone and the message box is full so I can't leave a message.

He was always here and just provided us with what we wanted. He was competitive in prices and provided us with everything that we needed done.

Although the initial request for a bid went slowly, the bid we eventually received from Alex Blaker was quite competitive compared to others we have received in the past. We needed the work to be completed by the end of November, which gave them a rather short timeframe for doing the work. As part of preparation for the painting, the house was power-washed, and exterior siding that was damaged was replaced and caulked. Some old caulk around the garage doors, which had been poorly applied, was also stripped and replaced. The crews were very efficient and competent. It was obvious that they have worked as a team for a long time?they were in sync with each other, worked quickly and smoothly, without having to speak very much. The window installation process went very smoothly. John, the installer, is impressive! His work is very precise and we are very happy with the results. John made sure to cover surface areas in the house while working and cleaned up at the end of the day. He made sure his presence was not disruptive and was professional in every way. Overall, we are very happy with the results. Alex Blaker, the owner, was very attentive to our requests, and went out of his way to make sure that we would be satisfied. The November deadline could not be met due to the extreme weather in Austin, but Alex worked on some very cold days and over the weekend to make sure that the work would be completed as quickly as possible. Update on February 24, 2015: A few months after the installation was completed, we discovered that one of the screens was damaged and needed to be replaced. We brought this to Alex's attention, and he said he would get to it right away. We have since called or texted 3-4 times to follow-up, but still don't have a replacement. In January, Alex told us there had been a problem and the screen was not shipped by the manufacturer, but it would arrive by January 21. It's now February 24, and still no word from him. This is disappointing, after the initial high quality customer service that we experienced.

On 7/13/13 I sent a simple request for a quote and a week later a follow-up request. No response was ever received, even though I gave a phone number and email address in the request.

After receiving the bid and before I signing the contract, Mr. Blaker furnished me with the name and phone number of a recent customer who lives near me and I was able to go over and check the quality of the paint crew's work. The customer gave a positive reference for both Mr. Blaker and the paint crew, so we proceeded. I was pleased with the overall experience and am happy with the quality of the work performed. Mr. Blaker suggested caulking between the rock walls and wood trim, which I would not have thought of. His crew showed up on time, were easy to communicate with, and did careful and precise work. I told Mr. Blaker that I was concerned about protecting my landscaped plants and they were careful to avoid damaging them. Mr. Blaker came by several times each day to check on progress and assure that all work completed met my satisfaction.
