Description of Work: We had received an estimate from another duct cleaning company that indicated we have mold in our house. We decided to get a second opinion from Blackmon Mooring, they came out and looked at our ducts and they weren't absolutely sure we had a mold problem in our ducts, so the guy said he would talk about it with his manager and get back to us (I believe they took pictures of our ducts too). It sounded really promising but they never got back to us. We still have the estimate that includes mold cleaning and sanitizing as part of the service, but haven't heard back as to whether we really have mold.

Description of Work: Cleaned three normal sized rooms; bedroom, formal living room, family room (plus really small room that was an extra charge). Sprayed stain preventative on walk areas. Did a great job - they actually move some furniture & go underneath tables! I've found that a lot of companies will not let their employees move furniture(at least that is what I'm told by the people doing the cleaning).

 + -1 moreThey definitely had to struggle to get my toilet out of the bathroom and that is why I give them the most credit. They are very hard workers and they got the job done. I don't think anyone else would have actually completed the job but they wouldn't give up. They cleaned up all their mess completely and I didn't have to ask them to do it. There services are worth every penny you invest in them.
Description of Work: They replaced my toilet in my upstairs bathroom and they also fixed a leaky faucet in the sink.

They were very impressive. They sent someone everyday to check on their machines to make sure they were working properly. They got the job done and protected us from getting mold. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. I did have a painter spill some paint on our carpet and they sent someone to get the paint out and didn't charge us. The cost to me was $35 but the rest was covered under insurance.
Description of Work: They put fans through out our home, ripped up our carpet, and put hoses in the walls to dry out our house. They did that so we were protected against mold after we were flooded.

 + -1 moreI just was not comfortable with the people from Blackman Mooring. Truthfully, I felt like they were trying to scam me for more work. Things did smell very good right after services, but, you could still see tons of dust from that day on. They also tried to say we had a mold problem and wanted to sell us all these extras. I did not fall for it though and do not plan on having them come back ever.
Description of Work: Blackman Mooring cleaned the air ducts in my 3800 sq. ft. home.

 + -1 moreI thought that overall everything went okay with the services I had received from Blackman Mooring's company. It was not exactly anything I would run home and brag about, but it was not anything to gripe about either. Maybe if I would have paid full price things would have reflected differently but it was a special they were running so this was how I felt.
Description of Work: Blackman Mooring cleaned the carpets in the living room, dining room, and one bedroom of my 3400 sq. ft. house.

 + 1 moreThey did a very poor overall job. They sucked up all the water from my hot water heater busting. They must have forgotten to shut the water off, so when they got all of the standing water sucked up they left. I came home and our house was full of water again. I called them and they had to come back out and do the job all over again.
Description of Work: We had our hot water heater go out on us and they extracted the water from our 2000 square foot house.

 + 0 moreWe had only been living here for a year when this happened and we were sure the carpeting was completely destroyed. Blackmon Mooring thought they could save most of it and they saved all of it. The entire process was somewhat time consuming taking a couple of days. In the end however our house was back to normal they did a wonderful job.
Description of Work: Blackmon Mooring removed all carpeting from our home, dried it, treated and repaired the parts that were severely damage, and re-installed it, after we had a flood.

They are mostly always available and they have always been able to fix whatever it was I needed done. I am very pleased with the company and I will continue to use them first before hiring anyone else. I am unsure as to what I was charged for this visit, but, I am sure it wasn't much. It never is.
Description of Work: Blackmon Mooring replaced a hose in my washer that had gotten a hole in it somehow.

 + -1 moreTHEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB AND THE CARPET STAYS CLEAN BECAUSE THEY ONLY USE HOT STEAM WITH NO DETERGENTS. THEY ALSO APPLY A REPELLENT TO KEEP THE CARPET CLEAN. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY SAY THEY WILL WIPE DOWN BASEBOARDS AFTER THE CLEANING AND THEY DON'T. THEY ALSO SAY THEY WILL RAKE THE CARPET BUT THEY NEVER SEEM TO HAVE A RAKE ON THE TRUCK.
