American Tree Service

I've been using American Tree Service for the past 12 years, and every time has been great. This time was no exception. I have two good sized oak trees in the front yard and a huge 150 year old live oak in the back yard. They trimmed all trees, raised the canopy of the back yard tree, removed lots of ball moss, and cleared away branches from my roof. This job took 2.5 days to complete. They take precautions against oak wilt disease by sanitizing equipment and sealing the wounds on the trees.

Crew arrived on time and worked courteously, punctually, and professionally. Was happy with service and used for a rental house, as well.

Even with the Angie's List discount, the cost was more than we expected because the crew was unable to complete the entire job after 3 full days.

Job completed as Planned. Tim was very professional, & his crew did an outstanding job. The Tree was in a Tight Area and they managed the removal without using Large Equipment. Also did excellent Site cleanup.

Tim & his team have been taking great care of our trees for 15 yrs. He's always so kind & knows what he's doing. We put in a new little tree last year & on this visit he tossed in it's first "trim" for free...I think he just loves trees so much he already wanted to start shaping it :) His guys are very professional & they clean up the yard sometimes better than they found it.

Tim charges $1,600 per day. He told me "two days, maybe a little more". I budgeted 3 to be safe. After 2 days, they had completed 1/3 of the trees. He told me it will be at least 3 more days to finish the work he originally said would take about 2. SO...$8,000 to complete the job. I have had certified arborists do it for half the price in half the time. And they are typically bonded. STAY AWAY.

Tim came to give an estimate. The price quoted was very reasonable for the work needed. The workers came on time and worked efficiently. Half way through the job they had an emergency at another location so Tim needed all hands on deck to help out, but promised to bring the crew back to finish the job on the following Saturday. The crew came early and stayed till the job was fully and satisfactorily finished. Thanks Tim!

The owner Tim Pruett provided a prompt (same day) response. He came to the house, gave a professional assessment of the work to be done and cost estimate and told me he could have a crew available to start the next day. The crew showed up promptly the next morning and worked efficiently to complete the job on schedule. They did an excellent job and hauled away all debris and cleaned everything up satisfactorily before they left. Mr. Pruett checked on their progress several times and kept me informed. The work included removal of one mature hackberry tree, one volunteer oak and one red tip. They trimmed, removed dead branches and ball moss for one red oak, one burr oak, one pecan, one live oak and two small elms. All branches were trimmed back from the roofline. American Tree Service did an excellent job, the trees look great, healthy and rejuvenated. I would certainly hire American Tree Service in the future and have already recommended their services to other neighbors. American tree service was great! They showed up on time and came to the job prepared to work. I had a lot of tree work to be done and they worked tirelessly to get it all done. They cleaned up the yard perfectly and hauled off all the branches. The man that was doing the cutting knew what he was doing - he shaped the trees beautifully. They took care to seal all the places where they made cuts. I will definitely use them again!

All went well. Tim Pruett came to inspect my problem within a couple of hours. When he saw the large branch that was still hanging by a "thread", he agreed with my assessment that this was a safety issue. Tim called his crew and reassigned them to my yard. They arrived within the hour. (I had decided that I did not have the time to get additional estimates of cost.) Tim's crew came and removed the hanging branch in a very professional manner. The hanging branch was above my stone fence and wood deck. The crew was very careful to not damage the fence or the deck. They also removed the fallen branch that leaned on my home and lay on the deck. That too was removed efficiently and carefully. While the crew was removing the hanging branch, Tim and I assessed the rest of the yard to determine what else needed to be done. Several trees had large branches extending over my roof, with some of the foliage brushing the roof. We agreed that these needed trimming. Other trees throughout the yard need some additional work. I asked Tim to prioritize the work that needed to be done and estimate the cost for each level of priority. He did so willingly and, I judged, intelligently based on his knowledge of trees. I chose how much I wanted done and we agreed on the cost. I am "comfortable" with the cost , although I am not sure it was "least cost". However, given the number of trees worked on (at least 10), the quality of work on the trees, the responsiveness of the company, the work ethic of the crew (who worked diligently and were very respectful and who responded to my many questions with patience and expertise) and the completely satisfactory clean up of the yard and roof , the cost was reasonable.. Additionally, I did have some experience with tree service costs about 4 years ago and this cost seemed in line with that. In short, I would certainly hire American Tree Service in the future. I am completely satisfied with the work done. Of course, if time is not of the essence, I would endorse the general recommendation that home owners get three estimates for any major product/service that they seek.

Tim Pruett had a crew at our house and the 3 trees removed very cleanly and efficiently with no problems and at a very reasonable rate.

Tim was able to come out give an estimate the morning that I called to have a large tree removed that was seriously damaged from high wind gusts. His team was able to start same day and complete the job quickly. This is my third tree that I've had American Tree Service remove over the past several years, and each time has been completed in a short time frame, at reasonable cost and courteous service. Highly recommend American Tree Service.

Tim was prompt for the walk-through and estimate. He and his crew arrived on time for the work and did a great job of trimming. Two of the trees required a lot of work. All trees look great. The crew cleaned up afterwards. I will definitely hire again.

Great! They were quick and professional. I had asked that they call me 15 minutes before arrival so that I could make sure the dogs were in and they did so. Cleaned up well afterwards. Will use them again.
