Description of Work: They cut down one large branch that was damaged on one of my trees. It went fine, but in retrospect I believe I overpaid for the small amount of work that was done.

Description of Work: We have used this outfit in the past. We first had a good experience, but this was a turnaround from that first time. We agreed on the price and trees to be trimmed and removed. The workers arrived as promised, along with the owner/scheduler. Initially the work went alright, but after the owner left the workers on their own, the workers slowed down and ultimately left many trees that we agreed to have removed. The workers did not speak English so we had little on the spot recourse. When the owner came a day later, the crews were long gone, and he only offered to schedule another round if work. We did not take him up on the repeat work, as we felt we had already paid for the work not completed.

Description of Work: I noticed the owner's name is Tim Pruitt. This guy scammed us several years ago DBA as Tim's Tree Service. Took our money and walked off the job. He had cut down a tree, and asked to be paid before it was hauled off. He was given a check, and that was the last we saw him. Repeated calls had no impact. Had to hire someone to haul off the tree. Description of Work: Purchased 8-hours of tree service with Angies List deal. Wow. I 100% got my money's worth, per tree count the cost would have been at least twice as much. The guys were great, recommended a few extra branches or trees for safety, took down all I requested, cleaned up "leaving better than we found it" which they did. A++++

Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's Big Deal and had American Tree Service remove a large dead Oak in our backyard. I couldn't believe how fast they completed the job. And the clean up was outstanding. I would definitely use these folks again.

Description of Work: I had a bit of an emergency when a limb from a hackberry tree by my house broke off and slammed over the fence into the neighbor's yard. These guys showed up the next day and removed the limb, also removing another limb low over my roof. They came back the next morning and trimmed a mesquite in the front as well as cleaning up. I was entirely pleased.

Description of Work: I have a huge cedar elm (50'-60' tall) in my front yard that was starting to split down the middle. If it had split all the way it would have come down on my house. I called Tim Pruett and he came out within 2 hours to evaluate the job (remove half of the tree). We made an appointment for 9:00AM the next morning. He and the crew showed up on time and finished the job in about 4 hours. At my request, they cut all the pieces into fire pit sized logs and neatly stacked it for me. They also removed an old stump, as well (it poked up from the ground about 6 inches--now I can mow over it). |I was pleased with the job. It was not cheap--but it was cheaper than having the tree fall on my house. |Mike Bussey

Description of Work: Tim Pruett, owner, came out very promptly. I had a very nice meeting with him on site. The pricing was great. When I went to set up appointment, I inquired about his insurance and asked him to bring his declaration page when he came out to do the work. This is not unusual to ask... He told me that he let his insurance lapse and was not interested in renewing his insurance. If I did not like this, I could call someone else. Very abrupt. So unlike the person who came out to give me an estimate. His cards and website say that he has insurance. Buyer beware.... he does not!
