The crew was excellent. They worked quickly and got more done that I expected. They did a good job cleaning up (although it is difficult to clean up completely after such a big job.) They were prompt, and easy to work with. The foreman gave me an estimate within 30 minutes of my call and had the crew onsite the next day. It was a very good value for the money given the great discount coupon that I found on Angie's List.

All went well. Large broken branches had fallen in a way to threaten the back fence, other trees, or neighbor yard structures. Tim Pruett responded immediately to my call and provided a reasonable estimate within only about half an hour. He and his crew did the needed work the very next morning. All tree debris were cleaned up and removed. Mr. Pruett also alerted me to a problem of which I'd been unaware, from Hypoxylon Canker disease, affecting other trees in our landscaping. This can now begin to be deal with too. Quite pleased with this contractor and can recommend his service for others!

During a recent storm we had a large tree split and half of it landed on the neighbors roof. Tim came out on a Saturday morning to look at it and had his crew do some initial work on the weekend since the branches were close to a power line. Tim was very friendly and willing to work with us and our insurance company. They even helped fix the neighbors gutter and put our fence back up. I would highly recommend American Tree Service.

Many thanks and a full recommendation to Tim Pruett and his American Tree Service for their outstanding work in our yard. We had a huge, dead, dangerously weak tree along the fence line. Tim and Team quickly figured out a game-plan and got right to work carrying it out. Their well-trained crew showed up at 9:00am on the dot both days and handled it with ease and expertise, managing to take it down, piece by piece, from over a fence and between two yards! And then they broke it down and removed every last branch, even down to the sawdust! These guys made a complex, potentially dangerous job look routine. 5 stars! Leaf it to them for your tree needs, no need to branch out to any other companies; why go out on a limb like that!?!?

I called Tim to get an expert to take care of our overgrown peach tree. He was very knowledgeable and trimmed the peach tree as needed. He also did some other trimming of bushes and trees in our yard. He was very courteous and thorough. I will definitely call him back next year to trim our trees. Thank you Tim.

The price was about $1,000 higher than another quote I got but because of the high ratings I went with this company. They said they would clean 80-90% of the moss off the tree and they did less than 50%. They also got the black spray paint they use on tree cuts all over my back porch, brick, and window and it won't come off. They also didn't haul off all the trimmings that were left from trimming the second tree. This is likely the last time I use Angie's List because of this experience.

I have used this company several times before. They arrived on time, trimmed and cleaned all trees which I had discussed prior with Tim Pruett. I am happy with their work and will use the company in the future.

I needed two tree stumps removed. One of them was a bit tricky as it was right at the fence and parts of it had grown into the metal mesh. The arborist of the big Texas 'home & commercial' company that removed the original trees had told me they wouldn't be able to remove that stump. Due to its proximity to the fence they wouldn't be able to operate the grinder. Instead, he suggested, I should cover it with tar and a tarp to avoid future sprouting. That wasn't an option for me. When I contacted Tim from American Tree Services he explained to me that stumps close to a fence are very common, and that his guy (Murty) would be able to disassemble as much of the fence as needed and put it back together afterwards. The price he quoted for removal and fence work was well within the ballpark of two other quotes I got which didn't even include the fence work. Long story short: The stumps were completely removed, the fence was disassembled and put back together and it looks like nothing ever happened to it. Communication between me and Tim via phone and Angie's List messaging worked perfectly during the project. I'm very happy with the result.

Tim and his crew were beyond excellent and professional for a fairly good size job in my backyard today! I would not hesitate to have him work on additional jobs in the future, or refer to family and friends. I had several bids within a week or so, which started out with a concern about a cedar elm... and figured it was time to massively trim everything. Mr. Pruett was very competitively priced to other local arborist, very friendly, and always responsive. Not to mention very knowledgeable and professional. If you are looking for tree service in the Austin area, don't waste your time even contacting other arborist - give Tim and American Tree Service a call now!!!

Mr. Pruett kept me posted regarding expected time for estimate and work completion. He and his workers were very professional. The cost was in a reasonable range for the work performed. I would recommend him to others.

Excellent service. They were punctual and professional. The planned work was clearly described and was completed exactly as described. The only issue was Tim’s estimate was a day for completion. It took a day and a half. No corners were cut to keep the work to one day. They honored the estimate. Note that I probably had this work done during the wrong time of year due to oak wilt. Tim’s team was diligent in sealing all wounds as the limbs were cut. Tools were cleaned before the work started. Overall a great job and we probably won’t need another trim for 5 years.

Amazing. Tim and his staff were on time, professional, and provided expert knowledge. They performed all work in a timely manner and left the work site as clean as when they arrived. He even gave me a lesson on the types on trees on my property. Friendly, professional, and on budget - what more could you ask for? 10/10 would hire again.

Outstanding service to the tree, and superb customer service; kept me informed on scheduling, accomplished to work to a very high standard, cleaned up after the work, and did not damage any of the flowers or shrubs surrounding the tree. Definitely recommended, and we would hire Tim and his crew again.
