American Tree Service

American Tree Service was definitely the most responsive company I called. I felt like I had to beg other companies to come out and take a look. The day I called American Tree Service, they gave me a quote and performed the service.

Called AMERICAN TREE SERVICE and they came same day. Quoted me a price and told me that the tree would be removed the following day. They did just that. Cleaned up everything and did a very good job. Would highly recommend them.

I called for an estimate and they came out the same day. We went over all the work to be done and they were able to come out later that day to do the work. They had to climb some pretty tall trees to cut the limbs, applied the "paint" to the cut limbs to prevent oak wilt, removed all the branches and cleaned up the area. When they removed one of the trees, they found a snake in the stump and was surprised as well, but removed the snake with the tree- no extra charge! :-) Great job and they know their trees! Also, one of the neighbors hired them on the spot to trim his trees!

My experience was excellent. I called around noon on a rainy Monday and Tim was able to come to the house around 1:30 to give an estimate. Due to the earlier inclement weather, they didn't have a lot of jobs, so he and his crew came back around 3:30 and completed the job by 5:00. And everything looked great when they were done!

The owner came to give an estimate and started the work the next day. He was professional and knowledgeable. The trees looked great after the trimming and appear to me healthy several months later. A couple of branches fell in the neighbor's driveway behind a hedge, and the workers forgot to pick them up. However, when I called to let them know, they sent someone to pick them up in less than an hour.

I placed a call to Tim Pruitt after being disappointed in the lack of response from another company. I requested him to drive by my home to give me a bid on trimming the tree in my front yard. Tim called me back the same afternoon to give me my bid on the phone. He was also able to do the work the same day. As I was still as work, I was a little nervous, so I called my neighbor to keep an eye on the work being done. When I arrived home the yard was cleaned, all evidence of cut branches removed, and a beautiful tree stood in my yard. I was amazed at how wonderful the tree looked. My neighbor had wonderful things to say about the courteous hard working men. I had a call from Tim the next morning checking to be sure I was happy with the job performed. I highly recommend Tim and his crew from American Tree Service.

The person I talked to on the phone was pleasant and set an appointment the next week. They were on time and had a nice truck. The only thing was that they didn't remove all the debris and I had to clean it up after them when they left.

I was surprised that they actually sent their crew out on Labor day to do the work. Everything went very well and the work was done promptly.

Rick came out and gave me an estimate the same day I called and by that afternoon he had a full crew working on the trees. The work was completed by the next morning.

The job of removing trees from my property was done in a very professional way. The crew was busy all of the time and was very coordinated. They cleaned up as they went along. Mr. Pruitt was on the job most of the time. He had to go pick up a large trailer, but returned in a short time. He gave me the discount for using Angie's List. I would recommend American Tree Service to anyone who may need his services. They were all very friendly, cautious, and informative. Mr. Pruitt told me to call him if the area was not cleaned up as clean as i wanted. I did not have to call him back.

We just moved here recently, and when the limb fell, we had no idea who to call. We checked Angie's List, gave Matt a call, and he was out to give us an estimate within the hour. About two hours later, he was back with his crew to take care of the problem--which he considered an emergency (and he was right). Throughout it all, he was pleasant, courteous and straightforward, which I appreciated. He explained that it was an expensive and dangerous proposition to remove this particular limb, because it was so large, and was dangling over several power lines. I felt like Matt was being a straight shooter about the whole process, and I appreciated how quickly he responded. He also made my neighbor very happy. I would absolutely recommend him and use him again.

I chose Austin Tree Service after the first company I selected failed to show up (with no prior indication). I was pressed for time due to an upcoming trip overseas, but Austin Tree Service came through -- as well went out of their way to far exceed my expectations. When I explained the situation I was in, they were able to schedule me in just 2 days later. They arrived on time with a hardworking crew of four who completed the job within 3 hours. Tim, the owner, also showed up during the job and even provided some extra suggestions. All in all, the experience with American Tree Service was extremely positive. Even after crossing some lines with another company, the folks I had contact with from this company always remained very positive, professional, and customer-oriented. They followed through on their word of making sure their customers remain happy and I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

Answered on first phone call and phoned back as agreed to arrange a time to meet to provide a quote. After we agreed on a price, they returned the next day to do the work. Very professional team that completed the job within hours. A supervisor even stopped by during the job to ensure we were satisfied with the work.

Matt showed up to give an estimate right on time. He said he was able to come to do the work 2 days later. He stated that he would be there between 9-10am. At 10:40, I called and they were running behind at the recycling plant. This was fine since my schedule was flexible and I really wanted to be there for the work. A crew of about 5 guys showed up at around 11:15. The guys were friendly and very professional. I talked with the supervisor and explained the work to be done. He was very careful to make sure his men trimmed the tree to my specifications and checked in with me to see that I was satisfied throughout the process. They cleaned up the limbs and debris as they went and put all the potted plants back in place after they were done. In addition to the trimming, I also asked if they could give a flat top to a loose tree trunk that I wanted to use as a table and they didn't hesitate to trim it for me. Overall, my experience was very positive. I will definitely use them again.

There were several things I didn't like. It was Tim Pruett that I worked with. First of all, I believe the price was too high. I used another tree service before who charged me their minimum fee of $350, and did a comparable amount of work. I thought I might get a better price using a company with a lower minimum, but Tim actually quoted me $650! I almost dropped him at that point, but I wanted to avoid the hassle of setting up another appointment with another company, so I talked him down to $500. Second, they showed up four hours later than they estimated. Third, they did not paint the wounds where they trimmed the trees. I didn't specifically ask them to do that, but I live in an area where Oak Wilt is active, and that is a standard precaution. I unfortunately didn't do that research until the job was complete. Fifth...and this is a big one...they left their trailer full of tree trimmings parked in front of my house overnight, and they didn't even ask me about it!

I called American Tree Service after I had already received a fair quote from one of their competitors. They came out the same day I called to give me an estimate and beat the competitor's price by $200. The competitor also said that they would not be able to get to this job for approximately three to four weeks. American Tree Service showed up the following day on-time to complete the work. They were courteous, professional, fast, and left my yards clean of debris and leaves. I could not be happier with their service and professionalism.

They did a great job! They gave an estimate and did the work the next day. They cleaned up well and the results look great.

We set up the appointment the same day and they completed the work while I was at work. When I got home everything was cleaned up and my tree was trimmed. I would recommend being there for the work to make sure there are no miscommunication. They trimmed a little more than I would have liked, but overall I was very happy with the work. They made it very easy by working out delayed payment which allowed the work to be performed immediately and were very reasonable on the price. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing tree work performed.

Well, Tim came late in the day on a Saturday when I began to realize that the job was bigger than I could handle alone. He agreed to come on Monday morning with a crew to haul the stuff away. Unfortunately a large storm hit on Sunday night tearing up trees all over town. I was sure that my small job would be missed in the middle of a tree mans dream of downed and wounded trees, but the company called on Tuesday and had things hauled away by the time I got home. I didn't mind waiting behind someone who likely had a much bigger mess than me to deal with.

They were emailed on Thursday 05/17/07 with a request for quote. I got an "out of office" response immediately. I was out of town until Sunday night. Don Meacham (627-3215) showed up at my house first thing on Monday. We went thru the scope of work, we agreed on the price, they began the work within the hour. They finished the same day. They did what I asked and they did a good job cleaning up. I am satisfied. A previous company I called was not responsive. I lost a couple of weeks waiting for them to call back, give me a quote, etc. I finally gave up on them.

Very well. They were on time to give us an estimate. When the work description and the prices sounded good, we figured we'd go with this company. We said, "when can you do it?" and they said they had a truck finishing another job in the vicinity and could come in an hour. 3 1/2 hours from the time of the estimate appointment, all the work had been done and done well (including clean up).

The process was quick and easy. They came out the same day I called for an estimate and were ready to work the next day. The work was done quickly and completely. The clean up was good.

Highly recommended. I contacted Tim on a Friday afternoon. He came by Saturday for an estimate. His crew was going to work on Monday but called promptly when they had an unavoidable delay. They did the work on Wednesday. I contacted them Thursday morning to discuss a certain branch that I had expected them to remove. They came by and removed it the same day at no extra charge. Their work and attitude were both excellent.

Several crew members were working on a neighbor's yard. Rick knocked on our door to ask if we were interested in having our trees trimmed, identified a dead tree, and offered a $100 discount since he was already in the neighborhood. It was obvious our trees needed help, but we have a toddler, and trees weren't our top priority. They did a great job trimming, cutting, and cleaning up afterwards. I also got a $25 discount for being a member of Angie's List! When a rep called to get our credit card information, he was excited we were Angie's List members.

Each time, we got the bid one day and the crew was here the next morning ready to trim. They were professional and did the work we expected plus as little extra. They gave us the option, which we took, of cutting up some of the limbs into firewood size pieces and ended up with over 1/2 cord of wood. They hauled off all of the remaining trash and left our yard very clean. We would not hesitate to use this company again. I realize that we probably could find a cheaper way to have the trees trimmed, but like the idea of an established company we feel that we can trust.
