This project went very well. There were four men to do the work and a large trailer adequate for carrying out the whole load of wood which needed to be removed from the site because of the canker disease. I believe it's a kind of fungus, if I remember what Tim said. They were done in 4-5 hours and cleaned up well after the work. Everyone was courteous and professional.

It took a few days for Tim to get back to me (left VM on Friday and heard back on Wednesday) but after he contacted me it all went pretty swiftly. Tim asked what I needed done on the first call, the next day (Thursday) he called me with the estimate and said they might make it out on Friday. I didn't hear back again until Sunday and he said he could make it out on Monday at 10~11am and be done by noon but they didn't even arrive until I got back from work at around 345pm. No big deal breaker for me though as they did a great job and had an excellent price. Will hire them again for another project in the future.

Tim came out and gave me a quote I felt was reasonable for the task. Within 2 days his crew was out there working away at making them look nice. His staff was very kind, polite, professional and punctual! I was amazed that this crew was able to complete the job within one day! Given the amount of tree branches cur from the trees, I was amazed at how well the yard was cleaned prior to them leaving. One would not know we had just had the work done. My husband, who wa skeptical when he heard the price, remarked pleased satisfaction at the finished product. Before payment was made, Tim walked the yard with me andreviewed the work. We will for sure use Tim again as well as refer him to our friends.

He provided a reasonable price and did a good job. I would use him again.

I had an 18" Redbud that needed removal. Called Tim to get an estimate and he happened to be in my area so he came over and was there in 30 minutes. Quoted me $300 to remove the tree, which was the price I was expecting. I have a large Hackberry in my back yard that he noticed some Canker damage which he attributed to the recent drought. The damage was limited to one large 10" branch, which he quoted $150 to remove. Also in my back yard there were many 4-6" volunteer Hackberry and Redbud trees that I had planned to take out myself, which he said they could completely clear for another $300. This was a lot of work I wasn't looking forward to so I agreed to that readily. Finally, I had some Live Oak trees whose canopies were close to my roof. He offered to trim that back for another $50. There was no hard sales pressure like I've had in the past from contractors. Everything was very matter-of-fact, and it was clear he was just informing me of the pricing rather than pushing for more add-on work. He called that evening and said the crew would be at my house at 8:00am the next morning. Right on time, the crew arrived and got to work on the tree removal. Tim showed up about 30 minutes in and supervised the removal of the infected branch and the fence clearing. They ended up clearing out the back yard well above my expectations - even hauling off a lot of trimmings and branches I had piled up waiting to put on the curb. All stumps were cut to below ground level and backfilled. The back yard is now cleaner than it has ever been. He even identified a volunteer Pecan that is coming up by the house, and gave me pointers on transplanting it to a better location. The only thing unexpected was that he only took cash, which I wasn't expecting. My bank is just down the street so it was no problem to run cash the check, but it would have been good to know ahead of time. Overall, this couldn't have gone any better. I will definitely use Tim for any future tree work.

I called when it became clear that the tree, which was hanging over the street, was not going to recover and posed a danger. Tim had his team come out the same afternoon because a big storm was looming and he agreed it needed to come down. They took care of everything while I was at work, and left almost no visible mess. This is my second experience and just as good as the first. I will definitely use them again.

I hired Tim again (he did some tree trimming last year). He's amazing. He is efficient and effective. He does what he says and does it right. No mickey-mousing around. Really an amazing business; no reason NOT to hire him. Perfect and thanks again, Tim!!!

These guys were professional, clean and very careful not to infect my trees with any diseases from other trees they had previously worked on. I thought the price was very good considering the size (height and canopy width) of my largest tree.Great job! I will definitely call them back out next year to work on some more trees. I certainly recommend this company to anyone.

They were very nice folks. Their price was reasonable. They did a very good work. They were very conscientious. They cleaned up well, where there were no straggling branches or debris left. They have a large crew; so, they come out, they get the job done, and they leave; they don’t drag it out over several days. Although we had a lot of work to be done, they did it just in 3-4 hours. It was very efficient. Also, here, in the Austin area, we have a problem with a disease called Oak wilt and if we don’t treat any cuts on an oak tree, it is susceptible to a parasite that eventually will kill the tree. So, they were very conscientious about painting over any cuts to prevent that damage, and that is one of the main reasons why we continue to use them.

Mr. Pruett showed up the day after I called and gave me the free estimate. We have lots of large trees that had not been trimmed in many years. We live on a hill and many trees were in hard to reach places. They showed up at 8:00 am on the day we chose. The 5 workers worked non-stop for 5 hours, were very professional, did a great job, and cleaned up all the brances that were cut. On top of all the trimming, they also cleaned up our hill below a pool were people had thrown trash and I could not get down the hill to clean up the trash. They went above and beyond and I would happily use them again.

Excellent job all around. I signed a contract with another company for other work; I wish I could have used him for all of it.

Tim responded to my initial inquiry very quickly. He was very busy because of the service special he was running for Angie's List members, so he told me it would be a few days before he could come out to do the work. I said that was fine, as it was not an emergency. He was professional and courteous.

They did a beautiful job. They were wonderful. They were great. They were excellent. We thought the price was reasonable. They were right there when they were supposed to be.

See above -- on time, easy to work with, very fast, thorough, and pick up all the trimmings, including sweeping and air brushing where appropriate (ie, on hard surfaces like walk and driveway).

Mr. Pruett was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient in completely the tree work. I will be calling him again in the future.

Mr Pruett arrived on time for the free estimate; his estimate was comparable. I set up a date for the work. Because of errors on my part, I had to reschedule two times, Mr Pruett was patient with me thru all of this. He arrived on time for the job and preformed the work. If you know anything about pruning hedges drasticlly, they look horrible until they grow back; I expected this. This was not the case with Mr Pruett's work. Looking at the front of the house, I could not tell that the work had been done until I actually walked on my walkway. They were BEAUTIFUL. He did a great job and my curb appeal is stll intact. As a bonus, Mr Pruett was a very pleasant pearson to do business with.

I had found American Tree Service on Angies List and immediately associated it with a door hanger placed on our home only days earlier. Turns out the door hanger was "Austin" Tree Service - didn't realize this until I talked with Tim while he was working up my quote. He said, "we don't do door hangers." I submitted an email through Angie's List to American Tree Service. Within 24 hours, I received a call from Tim to schedule a time to stop and provide a quote. He further indicated that if the quote was acceptable, he'd have a crew available to do the work and likely complete it in one afternoon. The amount seemed high though i gladly paid it for a) convenience and b) timely start and completion of the work. He had probably 4-5 guys on his crew and it did take them the better part of 3-4 hours. When complete, Charlie was very open to a few additional trimmings that my wife and I had requested. Other than one Texas Sage bush that didn't get trimmed and a few small clippings here and there, i was thoroughly satisfied with the service. Regarding the Sage that didn't get trimmed, Tim and I didn't discuss that particular bush though I would have expected them to notice it and proceed with trimming it. Again, not a huge deal.

We have used American Tree Services before. We had checked Angie's List to see who the top companies were. And this one still is tops! Owner Tim Pruett is knowledgeable, gives advice, estimates, and performs services to the highest standard. His team is extremely capable, thorough, efficient. Did I mention they're all great to do business with!! We like to use their services regularly to keep ahead of problems, and we recommend American Tree Services highly!

Limb was removed without damage to the fence or neighbor's property. All debris was cleared away.

I used the Angie's List Big Deal with American Tree Service which was $200 worth of services for $99. The service they provided was quoted at $400 which was a competitive price based on another quote I received from another highly rated provider. I therefore ended up paying $299 for $400 worth of services. I was very busy at work during the time I ordered these services. I worked with Tim over the phone to arrange for a quote and to agree to the service. Tim was professional and helpfu over the phone and the services were performed without me having to be present. They did a good job trimming the tree and cleaned up all branches. When I arrived home after the service was done, the yard was clean and the tree looked great. The tree looks great now and will be healthier and there is now less risk of the tree breaking in a windstorm. Services were performed on Nov 16, 2011.

I called Tim and arranged a convenient time for both of us so he could provide an estimate of the work that needed to be done. The estimate was lower than I had expected. He was very polite and to the point and the total process took less than 15 minutes. I called several days later and we arranged a time for the work to be done. We were not here when the work was completed but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived home. The trees were beautifully done, the yard was cleaned up thoroughly and I was entirely satisfied with the finished product. I would highly recommend this company for your tree service needs!!
