In about 3 hours the crew removed a large cedar tree on the same day I called for an estimate. Price was very reasonable and the area was cleaned up very well. I am more than satisfied with the job. I recommend American Tree Service to anyone who wants a job done quickly, for a good price, and professionally. The crew really knew what they were doing.

The owner of the company was able to come out the same day that I called to look at the work that we wanted done and give us an estimate. He was obviously very knowledgeable and we immediately felt that we were in good hands. Once we approved the estimate, he was able to get us on the schedule immediately. His crew showed up promptly to work and did an excellent job--they were easy to work with and cleaned up well when they were through. I definitely recommend them.

It worked great. They performed the service exactly the way I wanted them to. There were no additional costs.

On the evening of 9/5/2013 Southwest Austin was hit by a severe storm with high winds. Large tree in front yard fell on corner and roof of my house. Large trees in back fell on rear fence and neighbors fence destroying both. Upon notification of trees down I contacted Tim the night of 9/5/13 and informed him of problem he stated would have crew out first thing next morning (9/6/13) to check damage. The morning of 9/6/13 the crew arrived in morning and procceded to remove tree from roof and cut up for removal, same for trees in back yard. They worked all day 9/6/13 and part of 9/7/13 as Tim had prior committments said he would return to complete job which he did on morning of 9/9/13 clearing the fence line for fence installation. The evening of 9/9/13 I was notified that a neighbor had removed overhanging branches from a tree on the property line and had trimmed the tree to such a degree that the tree had become unbalance and in danger of falling on my roof. I alerted Tim and he said would be out on 9/10/13 to remove tree which he did. Tim's responsiveness to what was a very serious situation was truly outstanding and protected by home from additional damage

Used Angie's List deal. Contacted provider. Provider was prompt on communication and was scheduled to come out to the house to bid the project. Communicated well about plan of action. Services were professional and appropriate.

Went well overall. Tim came and looked at the property and gave an estimate. They could not come the first date they gave us. But came the following day and finished the work. They also removed a dead tree and removed dead branches.

Very good people. Listened to my needs and then described what they would do with each tree. They did the work the same day and did a very good clean up when done. I am very satisfied.

The trees were cut back to our property line. We had asked that larger pieces of wood be set aside for seasoning as firewood with the remaining hauled off. The job was done quickly and efficiently according to our instructions. The brush and brush pile proved to be a big and dirty job. They handled this cheerfully and left little to no trace of it ever having existed. For general tree trimming that doesn't require the specialized knowledge of an arborist, they are outstanding.

Mr. Pruett came to my house on July 12th to give me an estimate for trimming my trees. Mr. Pruett is a very informative, professional person. He is also has a lot of knowledge about trees and appears to be a very hard working, likeable individual. We agreed on the work that was to be done and he quoted me a price and agreed that the trees would be trimmed on July 15th while I was at work. On Monday, July 15th, it was raining but they did do the tree work and it looked great. On Friday, I went to my side yard for the first time since the tree trimming where one of the trees had been worked on and noticed my yard light located on the side of my house had been broken. Since Mr. Pruett's crew were the only persons that had been in that area I contacted Mr. Pruett and told him about the broken light. He responded and told me he would check with his crew concerning the light and get back with me. Mr. Pruett did respond and state that he could have the light replaced with a similiar light but not the same one - the owner of the house wanted the side yard and front lights to match and told me I would have to replace both of them due to this incident. While I think Tim's crew did a good job on trimming trees, I would not hire them again because purchase of new lights is going to put me out alot of money and I just wish the crew would have been more careful when doing the job.

Tim showed up on time and was the only tree service that answered my call (I called 2 other companies the same day). He was able to come and provide an estimate the same day, and walked the yard with us. He arrived with his crew and supervised from a safe distance while they climbed and trimmed. The crew were conscientious and polite. Took about 2 - 2.5 hours for them to do the job and pick up the debris. We were very pleased.

Tim came out right after I called and asked for an estimate and walked the property with me. I had about 10 trees that needed pruning and some dead wood just beyond my fence that needed clearing. He was very professional and reasonable. He set up a time for the following Monday and his crew showed up. I had to go to work and came home at lunch to check in and they were doing great. They finished all the work pretty quickly and I'm super happy with how it came out.

Tim came out and gave me an estimate for the proposed work. We arranged on a day for the work to be done, and then he had a cancellation and was able to come out a couple of days earlier which worked well for me. His crew is hard-working and thorough. They stacked up all of the wood and loaded it onto a trailer for removal. I am very pleased with the results and would use this company again.

I have been using the same tree service for years. Normally I get a great quote from them, but this time it was way more for a quarter of the work, so I found American Tree service on Angie's List and their quote was reasonable and had great reviews. The work was done promptly and cleaned up well. My trees actually never looked so good. I was very pleased and will use them in the future.

I wanted a large oak tree cut down and was able to accomplish my goal (safety) and also stay within my budget. They hauled off the wood and did an excellent job cleaning up. They were prompt and professional.

There was a special of $99.99 for $200.00 worth of work. The company owner came by and looked at the work and said it was in the scope of the special. The workers came and did a fairly decent job in the front yard but we had to force them to do the trees in the backyard and then they did a poor job on those. My thoughts were that I got what paid for - $100 worth of work.

This was my first experience with an Angie's List service provider. Great service from start to finish. When Tim came out to give the quote he walked me through what needed to be done to each tree. The crew arrived on time and after another quick walk-through started working. All the trees look great and after the job the yard was even cleaner than when they started! I would definately use them again.

They did a good job. They had an arborist working for them that I like. I was happy with what they did. The tree cutting work was fine.

Over all good job. Quote came in too high and had to negotiate down to a reasonable price. Service was done to my satisfaction and on time. They also did a good job picking up afterwards.

I met with Tim Pruett, Owner, on Thursday and got an estimate. Although I did get an estimate for a few hundred dollars lower from a perfectly acceptable alternative contractor, the decision to select his company was based off of his good reviews and mostly the fact that he took the time to respond in Angie's List to any issues posted there. That extra time indicated to me that he takes any comments on his service seriously and professionally and it was worth the extra cost (plus I felt that I'd be underpaying the alternative contractor). I'm very glad we hired him and his crew for the tough work clearing out all of our fence row brush and trees. The ground was so well cleared out that we could have taken a mower back there without a problem. They were quick, professional and got the work done in the next two days after the estimate. We'd definitely hire him and his crew again.

The job was done quickly; they cleaned up everything. Now it's a year later and the tree is looking good. All of the crew were Spanish speaking. It's been too long for me to remember if the foreman spoke English (I assume he did, but I speak Spanish so it didn't matter). For something as important as trimming your trees, you should probably make sure with the owner that someone on the crew speaks English pretty well so that you don't miscommunicate.
